I really like this phone but the speakerphone is awful so I’m wondering if mine is faulty or if it is just a poor design. Does anyone else have a similarly poor experience?
It’s an Orange UK phone although I’ve unlocked it but tethering is blocked which is a pain as I don’t want to mess with custom ROMs. I’ll ask Orange if they expect this to change when it gets the 7.8 update.
I'm on T-Mobile USA and the Speaker phone works just right. Yeah, I would like it to be louder, a lot louder. But it's okay, and is definitely usable.
yes, i think its not meant for having it loudspeaker. just use a headset for you to hear better.

I bought my LG P500 1 month back and have rooted it and installled the VOID ROM couple of days back. I run it with my AIRTEL SIM.
I have noticed that the in-call voice quality is poor with poor clarity; I feel the voice is not crisp and not differentiated from the background noise.
Is this a problem which you people are also facing?
Is it the handset to be blamed or the VOID ROM or something else? Can this be fixed.
I've noticed this problem too, but after few days i've got used with this. You can't get best quality at the lowest price.
I haven't faced any such issues. Thanks.
Hi, I have a UK based i9100 that I am using on the Telstra network (Australia).
I am losing signal in my kitchen and other parts of my house.
The strange thing is, that I can hear the other party loud and clear, but to them I keep breaking up and they eventually can't hear me.
On 2g it is the same but the call quality is bad-crackling a bit and a pulsing sound of the radio trying to hold a signal. It takes a bit longer to break up and drop my call, but it still happens.
I have tried every modem and there is little difference, as well as flashing the stock Telstra i9100-T firmware.
So, I am asking if there is anything else to try-can different kernels make a difference? Could the CSC make a difference? Is there a possibility of modifying something to put more power into the modem? Anything else?
I have not had this issue with a htc desire and a motorola defy.
I have had it with previous phones in other networks.
It seems my only option is to trade it for an iphone 4 (I have seen working perfectly) or something else....which is a shame, as this phone is otherwise close to perfect.
Any ideas will be appreciated.
Edited- Swypo typos...
Hi!
I just rooted my SGS3 today and I noticed that some friends of mine had some problems hearing me during the call. I made some other phone calls and my friends confirmed the problem.I did the phone calls under a good network coverage. I'm new to android and I wanted to ask if someone else had the same problem or if there is a solution for it.
Thanks,
No not at all i highly doubt rooting your phone assuming everything was done correctly could have any impact in call quality, mine is fine.
I noticed my call quality is crap today. Not sure when it started, but it's bad. I'm testing by leaving myself voicemails on my work number. I'm starting from a seated position and the call was clear enough, but as soon as I start walking around it gets very badly garbled to where you can't make out what was said. I put the sim back in the galaxy nexus and quality was fine, so I don't think it's the network, also I have full bars.
Is it possible something could be causing interference to the S3 and not the Gnex?
Yes I am rooted, and yes I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with it.
Was data on at the time? If so, disable and test.
Try another modem or firmware with different modem.

Hello friends.
I have a 32GB operator free LG G2 bought online at Expansys.pt
I'm happy with everything except the voice call quality.
Over +/-60% the sound becomes muffled/a little distorted.
I've read allot about this and it's more common than I expected.
Some say it's a hardware problem some say it can be fixed by software configuration.
Here in Portugal, the LG Support says it's a hardware problem and are replacing some units bought physically in Portugal.
Has I bought my online, the Portuguese LG Support will not exchange mine!
I've seen that for the american operators like AT&T and Verizon there are some thread's saying it can be fixed by software configuration (ex: http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-g2/314167-poor-call-quality-verizon-g2-4.html#post3280213 )
Is there any solution for the D802 European free version??
Is it normal that this kind of problem occours in such a large scale ??
This is the only thing I dislike in this wonderful phone
Thanks.

My D802 represents excellent call audio, sorry to hear this man!
My problem is instead the bluetooth audio when listening to music. It has a crackling/distorted sound when I'm playing music. Especially when the chorus of songs kick in. However installing CM11 solves the audio problem for me so I know its software releated.
My point is - you could try CM11 and see if the calls are any better, or flash any other stock rom with a newer build number than ur current
Have a nice evening!
Found this interesting fact in another forum:
This is actually my second G2, and has the exact same problem with distortion that the first one did. After doing some research, i also found out that the note 3 is also experiencing similar issues on both verizon as well as sprint. Which makes me wonder if its a cdma/snapdragon 800 issue. But from what i've also read and have been told, samsung actually released a software patch to address those issues with the note 3. I hope that LG will do the same. I love the phone! Fast and awesome! If LG can fix the actual phone part of this, it will be perfect.

please help me em facing call issue no sound being heard from my side to other callers i can hear them but they cant please
Having experienced something similar, I tried using 2G for calling. Big surprise, call quality was flawless. I don't think there's anything wrong with the phone, I'm blaming my operators crappy 3G call quality instead. Pretty sure it suffered on the account of 4G spreading.
I have a G925A AT&T version - unlocked. I've been using it on Straight Talk for the past year with no problems. Switched to T-Mobile last week and everything seems to have been going fine. However my husband has had issues where nearly every time he calls me, he hears very loud buzzing-static when I answer the phone and I just hear silence on my end. But the call always goes through when he tries a second time. We thought it was his cell phone (Huawei Honor 8) having problems but today he called me from his landline at work and he heard the exact same loud buzzing-static noise while I got silence. So it has to be something with my S6 Edge. I've searched online and am coming up empty and I can't even figure out if it must be a setting I need to change for T-Mobile or maybe my phone is going bad?

Hmm - were they able to fix it? Sounds like I'll have to go in to T-Mobile and talk to them, then. This can't go on - it's literally every other phone call and the sound is so loud my husband is afraid it's going to damage his phone.
