Stuck in Bootloader - HTC Amaze 4G

So I've been searching around for the last hour and I have no idea what to do about this. I'm stuck in the bootloader after I did a superwipe from the 4EXT recovery. I can't get back into the recovery and everything I do just sends me back to the bootloader. I can do fastboot commands, but I can't do "fastboot flash recovery name.img" it keeps telling me "writing' recovery' ... FAILED (remote: not allowed). I'm currently SUPERCID, and S-OFF. Please help <_<

Have you tried flashing 4EXT recovery from the AIO toolkit? I have been in the same situation as you before and that always worked for me.

I just tried ... gives me "remote: not allowed"

If I ever figure out how to get out of this situation I'm in, I'm never doing superwipe ever again T_T

The only other thing that has worked for me so far was to try the file linked in the third post of this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1426377
If that doesn't work I'll let you know anything else I come across; otherwise good luck and hopefully someone here with more experience can help you out.

1. Don't use Superwipe.zip..4EXT recovery has a wipe all (except sdcard) option that works just fine.
2. The only way to save your device is to flash the RUU.
Good Luck.

edit - sorry my dl link didn't work.
if you can't flash through fastboot have you tried an ruu on your sd card?
edit 2 - double0EK beat me to it!

This is a handy tool, and it should work for any situation, given that you are S-OFF.

[Q] HELP! I can't figure out how to get back to a stock ROM!

I should never have flashed my Evo 3D. I had no experience, but a buddy of mine talked me into it. It worked fine for a good while, but now...it just reboots itself randomly, and then freezes during the boot screen. I have to pull the battery to reset. I also can't use TONS of apps that I'd really like to have. Smart Glass, My Xbox 360, Bad Piggies, etc...
Anyway, I don't even know what H-Boot is, or what version I'm on. This is all the info I have...
Android Version: 2,3,4
HTC Sense Version: 3.0
Software Number: 2.08.651.2
MOD Version: InfectedROM_Synergy-3dvo_RLS-1 (NIGHTLY)
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.13-ck3+
All I want to do is go back to a stock Sprint ROM. I'd like to get the latest OTA if possible. I tried that as well, but it just searches forever. I let it go overnight once, and woke up 9 hrs later, and the thingy was still spinning.
Anyway... Any help would be MUCH APPRECIATED! This thing is driving me crazy. I'll be getting a Note II soon, but I can't take this ROM anymore,
-B
EDIT: Almost forgot... It isn't that I haven't tried anything. I grabbed a Stock ROM off of PPCGeeks, and connected my 3vo to my laptop. I ran the .exe, but it said it failed. I also got a different ROM, put it on the ROOT of my SD Card, navigated to the .zip in Recovery, and initiated a flash. Every attempt ended with the phone rebooting with the same old Synergy ROM. Once booted, I got a bunch of pop-up messages saying that various programs weren't able to run, or something like that. However, these programs included Sense, Phone, etc...

Follow this guide through Step1 and you will be 100% stock on the current Sprint ICS ROM. If any of the apps you want to run require root then you can complete Step2 as well. Since Step3 is for gaining S-OFF I doubt that you would need to do that in your situation.

THANKS! I'll give it a shot, and report back. I REALLY appreciate the help, good sir.
UPDATE: Yup...this is exactly what I did last night. All that happens is that it tells me it failed, and then reboots back to how it was. I just read a troubleshooting section, and it says to check if the bootloader is unlocked, and that if it is (via HTCDev) that it will stop this method from working. I'm pretty sure this is what's messing this up for me. However, they give no explanation as to how someone can change this. I don't even know where to look to make sure it's locked...

The command you need to lock the bootloader is in Step1 of the guide:
fastboot oem lock
Maker sure you read the section(s) of the guide you are planning to use carefully and follow them as they are written.

Wow... Sorry. lol I don't know how I missed that. How do I run this oem tthing? The guide says I should know how to do this, but I unlocked this thing well over a year ago, and only did it once. I just tried reading a tut, but it doesn't even say how to do this, and it also says that if it isn't done correctly, it will brick my phone. He says there is never a reason to go back to 'stock'. Not sure what all that is about. Do I need to download another file for this?

Well, the thing is... I understand everything but re-locking this boot loader. That's all I have to do for this to work, but I just don't understand that thread at all. It's just gibberish to me. I mean, is it a program I have to use? Do I type something in? IDK... That thread is pretty hard to understand if you have no knowledge of this stuff.
I found this: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/9322-how-to-relocked-hboot-htc-root-method/ ...but it doesn't do anything when I type in the cmd.
Mogul, you could find a stock rooted Rom that would be essentially the same thing as returning to stock without having to relock. I'm sure RamJet will have a link as I'm at a restaurant ignoring my girlfriend.

He wants ota updates.
He won't be able to take OTA updates from sprint if he don't relock.
@op
You need to download the rootevo3dnew.zip attached in the link you posted above. Then extract it somewhere. If you are using win xp open cmd and navigate to that folder in cmd. If you are using newer version of windows then hold shift and right click the folder which you just extracted and click "open command window here." and then connect phone in fastboot mode and type the "fastboot oem lock". Then reboot the bootloader, you will re locked instead of unlocked at the top. Now you can run the ruu.
Or hit me up on gtalk when you have 20-30 mins time, i will guide you.

[Q] Rezound Does Not Boot - Can Only Access Bootloader

[SOLVED - See Post #9]
Hey everyone,
So, I have some experience with rooting/ROMs, bootloaders and recoveries, all specifically on my HTC Droid Incredible (Yep, the original). But that's long in the tooth these days, and getting rather difficult to stand the slower speeds and all.
I decided to pick up a used phone, in this case an HTC Rezound, to repair and serve as my default. Cracked digitizer, but that's an easy fix, and it works for the moment which is all that matters. Turns out there was one more problem with it - it doesn't boot Android. It gets stuck in a bootloop if you allow it to boot, but it does go to hboot if you boot it up and hold the VOL down key, as expected. I cannot boot into recovery.
I tried flashing the 4.03.605.2 RUU from AndroidPolice - same problem. So, I'm not sure where the issue lies. I'd like to start by just getting the phone back to stock, and booting into Android if anyone can help me. I should be able to do everything properly from there.
I'm not entirely certain if HBOOT is stock - it shows the Android on the skateboard at the bottom - I'm not sure if that's a custom HBOOT or not, and I can't seem to find any specific reference to it. It is LOCKED with S-ON, so, I've been assuming that it hasn't been tampered with too deeply, someone just hosed an upgrade and I'm not sure how to go about getting it fixed.
Any help is deeply appreciated.

Flash a recovery in a zip right after you finish the ruu using the same method (no need for reboot).
To get root again you might want this: downloads.noshufou.netdna-cdn.com/superuser/Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed.zip

Ok, no such luck. I did the RUU flash and then tried rebooting, no go, tried reflashing from my SD after that, nothing. I'm not sure what to do now. :/
Update
Small update - I did the HTC bootloader unlock and successfully got Amon Ra flashed onto it. Now working on getting Android to boot. *sigh* This thing is a serious pain in the...
If I get it to work, I'll be sacrificing a ram, or at least some RAM. :fingers-crossed:
Still, I'm open to any suggestions or help anyone can offer. Thank you!
I would make a nandroid now and keep it as is for a bit just to make sure it functions okay.
Then if all is good flash a ROM!
I'm running ViperRez and it's very good. Doesn't seem to stream bluetooth media but all else is good. Very nice daily driver. There might be an update coming which will hopefully fix the bt steaming.

Heh, that would be doing things the SMART way. I'm going to do the unofficial CM9 which has BT streaming media, but not phone - sadly, something I'm much more interested in. I am wondering if I can't get the stock ICS or JB on there and just stick with that, since I do like using my BT headset. But since I've had no luck so far getting that to go on there, I think I'll take my chances with CM9 first, and go from there.
If I get that, I'll back it up thoroughly and then try my hand at putting the stock 4.03 on instead.
Solved!
Ok, so, I got CM9 booted!
The short of what I did was the following steps:
1) HTC Dev Bootloader Unlock
2) Installed Amon Ra
3) Installed CM9 using the S-ON instructions found at the site below - I can't link yet, so forgive me.
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1885553
4) Letting the bootloader flash the Kernel failed, so I had to do it manually by following the instructions for S-ON below in case of a parsing failure:
Code:
http://www.androidauthority.com/rezound-android-4-0-4-ics-cyanogenmod-9-cm9-rom-unofficial-120696/

Oh! I misread your last post above mine and thought you had gotten it back to stock.
Your issue was exactly what you figured out, that when you are s-on you need to flash the kernel separately after flashing a ROM or else you'll get stuck. If you s-off that will be automated but s-off makes it easier to brick your phone. I don't flash often so I'm staying s-on.
Sorry I misread your post, I could've let you know about that.

[SOLVED]I need help with ROM!

Hey, So i have a problem, I tried rooting my phone, and i guess i messed up somewhere, I lost my OS, and didn't create a backup because i'm stupid and didn't realize this could happen. I found a thread, relating to a similar problem, but a different phone so i relocked the phone with Hasoon's tool. Now i cannot find a proper RUU For my phone. I have an HTC One X+, Radio is 2.14.55.11, And the stock image is 1.20.661.1 or something. All i want now, is to return to stock. I've tried the RUU's from androidfiles . org/ruu/?developer=EvitaRE But no luck. It has some sort of error nearing the end. At the moment i can't find the error, as my phone is under %30, So after it reaches about 70, i'll try again and post the error. I'm getting pretty scared, as i'm new to this, and i don't want to lose my phone. Any help would be appreciated.
I don't really know what else to post, besides the radio, stock image file thing, and that it's the north american phone i guess, EvitaRE. The HBOOT is 1.40.0000 and it's stuck at the loading screen, 'HTC Quietly Brilliant'
Factory Reset's do not work, and push me back into the loading screen. It's in infinite boot, i guess, where i power the phone down and it just boots up again without me doing anything.
I dont know where i went wrong during the rooting process, as when Hasoon did it in his video tutorial, It worked out perfectly. but for me not so well, After flashing and unlocking bootloader etc, i clicked perm root, and i couldn't find the SuperUS or something, so i went to power the phone down into bootloader and it said i had no OS. I don't know what i did, and all i hope is that my phone can be somewhat revived so i can use it.
Thank you for reading, and any helpful information would be just appreciated.
~Cp
EDIT: Extremely sorry, but i have found other posts about this, but i can't seem to understand the fix, so if possible, please dumb it down for me! I'm extremely sorry for even attempting the rooting in the first place :S

Did you know if it had an Engineer's HBOOT before? Writeflagsecure 3 is to remove S-OFF. You didn't need to do that to go stock.
Try flashing a recovery?
If this for insurance purposes? Just wondering what you're trying to do with your phone since it was working when you got it.

No offense, but you keep saying things like "i think" or I "believe"; if you want our help, we need to know if you did it or not.
What recovery were you flashing?
Basically, what I'm saying is you might have deleted your recovery since you're saying that you keep ending up on the bootloader. You need to flash a recovery into your phone. If this doesn't make sense, just let me know and I'll point you in the right direction.
EDIT:
Follow these directions and then select RECOVERY from your bootloader. Let us know what happens please.

When you select RECOVERY, it's bringing you back to the BOOTLOADER screen, right?
If that's the case, the RECOVERY may have been removed, which is why I'm saying to flash a new one in. Did you follow the instructions on that thread I linked to?

Just saw this. No, you should be using fastboot commands, not ADB
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
To begin, do you have the Android SDK installed on your computer? (Platform Tools)
You save the TWRP .img file in that folder.
Shift+Right Click on the folder and click Open Command Prompt Here
The phone should be connected to the PC
From the BOOTLOADER, go to FASTBOOT
It should say FASTBOOT USB
You can double check by typing 'fastboot devices'
Then run 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img'
recovery.img will be named whatever your TWRP file is named
Then for good measure do 'fastboot reboot'
Now, you should be back in BOOTLOADER
Go to RECOVERY, and what do you see?

Here are the direct links.

I'd suggest downloading 2.5 as 2.6 gave me issues.

I've had no problems with 2.6 personally but either one will work. Once your in
Recovery you can download a ROM on your computer and on adb use.
adb push "C:\Documents and Settings\Josh\My Documents\Downloads\ViperDNA_1.3.5.zip" sdcard
Clearly that's how I would do it via my computer after you type adb push you can hit the space bar and drag the file to the command prompt and drop it there that will do the dirty work lol then you just hit space and tell it to install on the sdcard.
Dont let your phone or computer go to sleep or the push will corrupt the file it can take up to 10 mins to transfer the file and once you hit enter it won't acknowledge its actually transferring Dont worry it is. It will tell you when its done how long it took and how much it transfered. After that you can flash the ROM and you should be golden man!

Upgraded HBOOT to 2.28 - Stuck on White Screen

Yesterday I upgraded my hboot to 2.28. Immediately afterwards, the phone would not get past the HTC white screen (I let it try for 45 minutes).
I can't get into recovery (flashes the HTC white screen, then goes to the green "circle arrows" for about 30 seconds, then to a red triangle with an exclamation mark).
In FASTBOOT, I don't get "fastboot USB" - I get "fastboot AC", and my computer can't see the device.
I'm at the end of my "know-how", and need someone to coach me through this.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks for the offer REV3NT3CH. At this point, I'd like to do the process myself and not send the phone off. I don't mind the hassle... just not sure what to try next.

REV3NTECH - Good news... I found a PH98 image of ClockworkMod, that gave me access to recovery. From there, was able to flash a ROM. I think I'm good.
Thanks SO much for your willingness to help. You're great!

DHChristensen- I've got just about the same problem. Mine occurred while trying to S-Off with Juopunutbear. I'm stuck on the Juopunutbear logo, no USB connectivity in Fastboot, and no recovery loaded.
Could you let me know where you found a PH98 image of Clockwork mod? I'm hoping I can load it from the HBOOT 2.28 that's currently on the phone.
Thanks in advance,

Thank you for the advice Rev3nt3ch, I don't get the QHSUB_DLOAD device, nothing at all when I connect the phone to the PC. I tried anyway on my Linux PC to run the fix you suggested, it never finds the phone connected.
I went through all the other fixes suggested by the unlimited.io people over a chat session with them, no joy.
So, it looks like I am bricked. All I can do is boot to the HBOOT menu, or let the phone boot up normally, which takes me to the Juopunutbear logo.
Again my thanks for the advice,

Grab CWM_6.0.3.6_Vigor_PH98IMG.zip and rename it.

if you can still get to hboot you are not bricked...just a soft brick and this can be fixed...try the above posted method...if not you can mail the phone to me and ill fix it for you
I did a little research, Juopunutbear replaces your boot image temporarily, you need to put it back to fix your phone. What rom where you using when you attempted s-off? You need to make a PH98IMG.zip with the kernel (boot.img) from it. It's pretty easy, just need 7zip to update the zip image with the boot.img you were using. If you can't get the phone to communicate with a PC, you will need a card reader though to get the file on your SD Card.
Your other option is to keep trying controlbear and the wire trick til it takes.

Thank you kindly for the research. I was just running the stock ROM. I've tried restoring the boot.img from a downloaded copy, it appears to load, but doesn't change anything.
Juopunutbear does save the image from the initial attempt in a file calle boot_backup.img. I've renamed it and tried flashing, same thing.
I think my biggest mistake was that I did not load a recovery prior to running Juopunutbear. I just unlocked the device, then went to do the S-Off procedure.
