Hey There!
My question is simple: how to overclock on stock Rom? Just have it soff and rooted..
BTW,I don't know if I have carrier iq so if i have it, what I have to do to remove it?
Htc EVO 3d,rooted,s-off, clockwork recovery also installed..version of Rom: don't know, have to check it...

Last time I checked u can overclock with stock but it going to need custom kernal that allows overclock
Sent from Epic jwolf1 using XDA App
Can you tell me where to get a good kernel?
and what about installation, do I just flash it through cwm?
Are u cdma or gma
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
If you are cdma just flash over top your rom. Just remember, always Android just in case!

An my point of view on best kernel is freaza his kernel are awsome
An ps.if u are looking for good ROM Olympus xe only problem no 4G,and camera but femme my use it allows overclock without custom kernel
Sent from EPIC JWOLF1 using XDA App
Ok,thanks, I'm in gdm, not cdma, I live in Germany any other kernel for gsm? BTW: I still want to use my camera and sometimes surf on the web so the Rom is not really something for me

Wow, calling a dev's kernel **** will get you no help. Good luck.

Um,maybe little Bit too hard but what is with the other kernels, the kernels what were some time ago developing stopped and now are continued developed ....but what it will give me,if I want to overclock but this kernel can just disable one core or whatever, I want to have native and full dual core computing ion my phone, overclocked and maybe some improvements, I don't need powersaving when I'm everyday in the morning and evening at home and using my phone all day,if i charge it at 8pm maybe that kernels are no ****, but aren't just the right thing for me -.-
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using XDA App
ok, I'm now on leedroid and it simultaneously changes the second core to be offline, after that it still is offline and even get online if higher load is on CPU ... I use system tweaker and it shows me this, but what I have seen is, after reboot,it is like I have configured it,but after I lock my phone and the screen goes off, the second core goes offline and it doesn't come.up later, just the second core goes to 1.89 GHz (yes,I've overclocked it) and the second still remains to be off...I already choose the option in system tweaker that all core are online, but it changed nothing, also have flashed already all zips from leedroid, without a difference...
it would be nice if someone gets an idea and share it with me,thanks in advice
Close this thread, it's not worth it....

Wow.
The source hasn't been released. And if you did some research...well, you wouldn't be so misinformed and sound like a douche nozzle.
that kid needs some serious help
Sorry about that, but if someone tells me I don't need to have the second core online and knows what I f**ing NEED so sorry, also tried to question first, but everyone tells me just that I NEED serious help and no one would help me .
That's not the f**ng point, I just wanted to know, what is happening with my phone but no one can tell me so just close this thread and I never ask anything again in this forum if you think I need serious help -.-

You just choose the wrong words to use in your post. Android can be frustrating at times, but to use the term "****" when referring to a well known and respected developers work will automatically get you the responses you don't want. Then you semi offered an apology which is definitely not recommended IMO. Just a "my bad for the harsh post" would have done well I think. Anyways my point is this set some time aside to read, read, read upon what you want. If your looking to overclock on stock then read upon kernels. But if you don't read about them and then post a question well the information you receive will more than likely not make sense to you.
Always keep in mind that almost every tip, trick, hack, mod, and all the information that users might post you can find yourself just by taking a little time to search and read. But try to word your post a little more careful next time to avoid negative feedback. Also if you still need help overclocking let me know.

You need root, a custom ROM, kernel, and CPU governor. Google how root, and flash ROMs and kernels. And yes, everything including web and camera work with almost every Sense ROM. Also, go to the Evo 3D GSM development forum to find a ROM and kernel. Make sure whatever questions you post are in the GSM forums or else you might get answers that may only pertain to the CDMA version of the phone.

There is now a ICS leak from the ATT One X with the Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU (NOT the Tegra 3 One X), just after the One S leak. So Since both leaks are out would it help to take bits and pieces and put em into the Rezound to get a Sexy Sense 4.0 Rom?

Yeah i seen it on androidpolice earlier today. So 1st a One S Leak then a Rezound ICS Leak and Now this One X Leak......Man am i Excited.
Which One X is is for? We had a leak for the Tegra One X a while back, but nothing came from it because it was based on the Tegra processor. If this is the Qualcom One X we might have something that the devs can work with.

Edit your OP name to include the info that this is a qualcomm based build. That way the Devs know.
So this leak would help because att has 4g lte? Just wondering as to what is better the one s leak or this (In terms of helpfulness)

No it will help because it is based off of the Qualcom One X instead of the Tegra 3 One X.

I posted this in the Inc2 forum before I realized there was a Inc4G forum. . .
Well, I'm sold. Those are the two magic words I needed to hear. Can't wait for that bad boy.
http://androidheadlines.com/2012/05/featured-verizon-wireless-turns-down-htcs-one-series-in-favor-of-droid-incredible-4g-lte.html
Even though the incredible 4G seems to have a few things that it lacks compared to the One X, it does have an unlocked bootloader which the One X does not. It seems that there was quite following of fans that wouldn’t have it any other way. This small group of android nerds is extremely passionate about the capability to tweak and change their devices. For those of you that are unfamiliar with what an unlocked bootloader does, it allows you somewhat endless possibilities to customize the firmware (or OS) on your device. Which can enhance its user experience, looks, features and the like. This move by HTC to keep the bootloader unlocked is because HTC says they fully support the ability to keep things open and customizable.
HTC is fully committed to the bootloader unlocking program and that Verizon is also completely behind it. Ultimately leading to its choice to make the incredible 4G LTE with this feature. While Verizon is behind the idea now. They could of course change their mind at any time.

Seems more like HTC will let the bootloader be unlocked via their site. That's not the unlock you are used to for your inc2

I bet the clip will work on this device for a permanent s-off though ... At least there's hope . . .
I'll just repost my question from the Dinc2 forum, in case someone watching it here wants to chip in their thoughts:
But still, the fact remains that it will be unlocked by HTC's online unlock tool. Which does not grant S-OFF. Granted that this is better than nothing, but I really want to know how much can be done without S-OFF. I mean, S-OFF was a huge thing for rezound, which recently got it. And I heard, until S-OFF was achieved, AOSP ROMs were impossible on Rezound. So, how much can be done by simply unlocking it by HTC's tool and not getting S-OFF? What is the difference between unlocked bootloader with S-ON (i.e. HTC's unlock method) and unlocked Bootloader via S-OFF like I did for the Dinc2? That is my basic question.

You sir, have been misinformed. S-off on the rebound WAS a great achievement but has nothing to do with aosp. The problem with that is the RIL which will be an issue for the inc4g also.
Also, an unlocked bootloader is not all the different from s-off but does have so.e huge problems like nit being able to downgrade easily if you accidentally run an RUU that updates the baseband. It also give issues with version numbers if leaks are released but that issue has been fixed. Kernels can not be flashed via recovery and you have to lock the bootloader whenever you want to run an RUU. I may be forgetting some other differences but the last and IMO biggest is that once you unlock, it will always say re-locked at the top which COULD cause warranty issues even though it has nit for anyone so far.

If you want AOSP so bad then just get a Nexus. Personally, I'm stoked for some ICS with Sense 4.
According to that article. It says it won't have the S4 cpu in it.

I read it has a S4 but doesn't, so I'm like huh?
So S3.5?
Anyway, maybe the method that got Rezound users like myself S-OFF can get I4GLTE users theirs, such a clever method at that.

the official annoucement from vzw and htc said it was a s4 chip
its just not the same exact chip as the one s or one x

To graymonkey44, you misinterpreted the article. As nitsuj17 said, they were saying that it's not the same chip. It's still an S4.
To nitsuj17, it definitely won't have the msm 8930 that you suspected, since that has the Adreno 305 GPU which won't even be released until Q3
So the exact chip is still a little fuzzy. The only S4 chip that really seems to match is the 8960, but that doesn't come in 1.2GHz and an HTC rep has said it's not underclocked. So it seems like the possibilities are:
It's the 1.2GHz 8930 featuring the faster Adreno 305 GPU that wont be released until Q3
Verizon/HTC somehow, and for reasons unknown, managed to get Qualcomm to custom make a special 1.2GHz S4 with the Adreno 225 GPU and LTE.
The HTC rep that said it's not underclocked was either lying or mistaken, and it is in fact the 8960 underclocked to 1.2GHz.
Personally, I think that last one is the most plausible, but who knows.

Ooooh! If it is the last one, then we could potentially overclock it (kill battery life, of course ) and get the same performance or even better than the One X due to the lower resolution!!! Oh! My God! I just had a nerdgasm!!!

Or some journalist was able to install and run the quadrant benchmark at CTIA... who knows!
Well, as per this link:
http://www.phonearena.com/news/T-Mo...rrier-gets-180-day-exclusivity-period_id28877
This score certainly isn't up to snuff with the One S. However, it is important to note that there is a 300MHz clock difference and the 3d scores are very similar. 1954 vs 2173, a gap like that might be influenced by clock speed. I wouldn't rule out the possibility that it has the 225 just yet.
Edit: Actually it might be the 220 because the rezound scores very similarly.
Things just keep getting worse for this guy.

I'm pretty sure the EVO 4G LTE already does this. In fact, there is a mod in the development subforum specifically to prevent it from doing that.

Hi guys. Just want to ask why is there no kernel yet that supports overclock for the International version of the Htc one x plus. I've been checking all of the kernel updates for this device for the past 7 months and there isn't any kernel yet that supports overclocking.... I mean the Htc one which came out a few months later than my device managed to be overclocked to 2.1Ghz. Is it because the device has some kind of lock that doesn't allow overclocking in the device ?

Why do people post questions such as these only to never respond when people post back?
This phone is a beast out of the box. Oc'ing it would only end the life span of the phone sooner than expected. Heck I keep it in power saving mode most of the time and while playing graphic intense games I notice next to no stutter.

It would be awesome to overclock it to 2.0ghz. Nice round number too
But you can overclock the GPU with Tegra overclock app (which i torrented) . Thats all i know so far with overclocking.
(Using elite kernel with Viperx+)
I'm sure it's possible but this is phone is already ridiculously hot and almost approaches painful to hold when you use it heavily. Just stick to the >1.7GHz
I'm sou sorry
I just want to know that I could oc the device, that doesn't I'm going to keep it in 2Ghz if I could oc it... its just nice to know that I could, like the HTC one..
I guess no one has developed a kernel yet to support OC...
