First off.. I have and love my EvoLTE. But i got greedy....
If any of yall want some free Gigs on your Dropbox (49 Specifically). Do what i did.
So i decided to stroll into a Sprint store at my mall of choice and go look at the GS3. Then i proceeded download and login to the Dropbox app from the market. Nothing so far... so i was like crud... logged out... but left the app.
Then on my Evo... went to "www.dropbox.com/gs" with the Chrome browser on my phone. Logged in on that page and whoa... got an email from Dropbox saying i got 49 GBs free.
Total of 79 now.

This. They have and will close down accounts for "tricking" the system into thinking you are part of a promotion when you are not. If you want space that bad just do what I did -- Use the referral system. If you don't want to wait put an ad words ad on Google with your referral link advertising Drop box. Or, just buy more space.
Edit: I realize that you didn't 'mean' to cheat the system so my post might seem a bit harsh. I would just hate for you to lose your dropbox account/files over something so petty.
Back up your stuff in dropbox just in case and if they do close the account send them an email explaining the situation I'm sure they would understand.

Alright, STRONGLY encourage you guys trying this app.
Short and Sweet, this app gives you a daily deal (usually a 50% or more discount). It's in most large cities so you are probably covered. The best part though is the deals are usually things I want, and help support local business (most are not for chain type places).
Example: Today I bought a Groupon for a local brewery. For $10 I get to take a buddy with me on a brewery tour, sample beer, get two beers, and get two pint glasses... Yeah, that is a win.
IF you decide to join, do me a favor and use my referral link. It gives me $10 to use towards future groupons. You get the benefit of saving money and using your own referral link in the future.
CHECK OUT GROUPON (THIS LINK INCLUDES MY REFERRAL)
CHECK OUT THE ANDROID APP (AMAZING).
I really love the app. Not only does it show you the deals, alert you (if you want) of new deals, but it also keeps track of all your purchased groupons AND lets you show your phone to the merchant to "use" your groupon (no having to print them out and bring in a piece of paper).
If you have used Groupon, give some feedback for those not aware. Its an amazing service/app and has saved me a lot of money... as well as encouraging me to get out and try new things.
Did you know Groupon Is becoming one of the most successful businesses in america im running the app now thanks for the post as usual
My Wife swears by it...
i'm sorry if this is a dumbass question...but what the hell is Groupon?
i always get an app if s15274n says get it...but i dont know what its used for
My wives all over it too

^^ Groupon, in summary is a daily discount for a service at a local store in your area. If you want it, you buy it, most are good for a year (each groupon has the expiration date)... I have them all stored on my phone, and just show the store worker my phone when I want to use the discount.
I will be hitting up that brewery this weekend, very excited about that. Hit up groupon.com and see if it's offered in your area. If it is, please use my referral code /self-promoting.
Groupon is VERY successful, their the ones Google offered like 6 Billion (not a typo) to buy out. They refused so google is going to create their own version to try and compete with Groupon. Yeah, it is that good.
I get their daily email alerts, which I prefer to the app. Still awesome though.
Yeah, I mostly use the app to keep/show a merchant my groupons. I don't like "spam email" (intended to receive or not), so I just periodically check the app or their site.
+1 to the wife comments
My wife swears by this app too! haha
@s15274n
Doubt I would use Groupon much but I did signup for an account via your referral link for your sake. LOL. Good to help out a fellow XDA member. Do I have to buy something in order for you to get your $10 referral bucks?
Yeah one of my favorites now... bought s couple dinners for half off and my wife bought lasik ($600) for $99. Love it!

Holy $hit, that's a good deal.
I am the GM of a popular restaurant/bar... and I can tell you there are some sick deals to be had. We ran one ($12 for $25 worth of food/booze) and it sold out in under 2 hours (1500 sold). It really is a great deal for the consumer.

Yeah, again... I dont use the email alert and would not suggest that. Who wants unread email? Just check the app every now and then, or the site.
I'll try it. Just signed up and installed the app. I used your link so I hope you got credit.

Google gets rejected
Wanna see how great Groupon is getting. And I always taught it was just an underground thing. haha

Check it out! 6 billiion. thats 6,000,000,000. Nine f'n ZERO's!
^ really hoping google offers something just as good/better. The consumer wins here.
I found it ate CPU time and RAM on my phone. I am opting for the PC browser instead.

Is this more than the just the apk that has been ubiquitous.
Its certainly more....
It the streaming service a la "Amazon MP3 Cloud."
I got my invite too. Ironically the e-mail says:
Hello Motorola XOOM user,
We'd like to tell you about some changes to the Music player on your tablet. The latest app update now supports Music Beta, a new service from Google. As a Verizon Motorola XOOM user, you’ve been extended an early invitation to beta test this service.

I have never signed this account into a XOOM, I live in Canada, don't own a XOOM. But I got the invite anyway =)
I signed up originally for the invite by logging into a US VPN. But now that I've been invited, I seem to be able to do 100% everything from my Canadian IP address.

Google thinks we have a XOOM because our tabs say we do.
EDIT: my bad, cmstlist says I'm wrong. I don't care enough to check. Go Google XOOM Music!
I got a invite setting it up on my Nook now. I have it on my Droid too
I have found that google was wrong. You can listen to it on many devices at one time. I had my wifes Incredible, my droid and my Nook ll playing different songs at the same time from my one account

I'm looking at the CM7 build.prop and I don't see anything that implies XOOM. In fact I see the word "passion" in there - it identifies like a Nexus One?

My bad. But really, who cares?
I just realized. Google recognizes my devices as a "BN Flyer".
They probably think I've gone mad.
Should have changed it to Xoom before signing up.

This is exactly what happened to me. It's working great without using a VPN on all my devices!
Are you all running this on CM7, or anybody running it on rooted stock? I tried grabbing the APK from my Evo and it installs but never gives me the authorization screen. If running rooted stock, did you use ManualNooter and if so, what version? I'm on one of the original (or second release) versions, so I'm wondering if it's my build.props file keeping it from working.
I couldn't find it in the market either.
Thanks!
Still wish I got an invite.
Got it. Running great on both my nook and evo.
(both running CM7)
using this on my nook and eris
nook it works great, and google recognizes it as BN BN Nook Color
on my eris it runs decent on wifi, but takes a little longer to get going when im on 3g. plus the eris sucks.
trick i learned was to select an album, then pause and let it buffer through almost a whole song before i let it play the album.
i've written google countless reports about things i think should be different, but all in all im pleased.
I got an invite also on my google account not associated with any android device. I set up a second google account for my android devices to better sync contacts.
I think the invites are just going down the list of people who signed up, or at least a list sorted by some non-android related order. I did sign up pretty early, i think, since I was paying attention to google IO when it was announced.
All-in-all, I haven't been overly impressed with it compared to Amazon's. The big missing feature is that you can't download MP3s after you upload it. The free music they give you was kind of nice though.. i was expecting mostly indy songs, but there were some decent songs there... although some of the decent songs were mediocre live performances from over-the-hill performers
They just sent another round of invites and I got one. Installing the music manager now.
Just got the invite. Takes forever to upload music, though. Took me a whole night just to upload 2000 songs. At this rate, it's going to take me a whole week to hit the 20k song limit.

Sounds exactly like my experience uploading all of my tunes to Amazon cloud.
(still waiting for my invite)
So for the ones who have it can you tell me if theres a huge bonus to google music over audiogalaxy? I love my audiogalaxy account and there's no need for upload
Now through March 23rd anyone that downloads the Box.net app and logs in gets upgraded to 50gb of free storage (normally 5gb) and the maximum file upload size gets bumped up to 100mb (normally 25mb). Plus, it is for life and never expires.
Check press release here: http://www.maximumpc.com/article/news/box_offers_50gb_free_cloud_storage_android_users
Works like a charm. Thanks for posting
very cool man. thanks
Wonderful, thanks
Maybe I'm a little paranoid but does anyone else ever wonder why they are giving away so much free space for you to store your stuff?
I dont use any online storage sites only because all my personal stuff stays in my control. Makes me wonder what I'm missing out on though. What does everyone keep online? MP3s, pictures, "personal" videos, work files?

Because with the 200mb max single file upload limit it is incredibly hard to use up all 50gbs for the average user
Sent from my Photon 4G via Tapatalk 2
Or so they can suck you in and get you on a paid account. Once you've taken the time to up 50GB of stuff, if you need more space you're more likely to stay where you are than go somewhere else and start over.

All of that plus they want users. They have services running alongside their storage that brings them revenue. That's why they give it out so freely, they cleared out quite a bit of the normal overhead costs and can afford to grow via promotions as an additional service of a phone. I got my 50 gigs last year when they welcomed LG users, all LG users.
Got on there with my Optimus, haven't used it since day one. I'd just been using Spider-oak, I don't like streaming content but it does offer sharing content which I do need in a service. It did exactly wha I want with a high level of security. Love them. I'm a fringe user though, dropbox, box.net, etc will be the best bet for most users.
kamsahamnida amigo!!
I love to use this App
It's very easy to share file

Box.com
Its similar to dropbox but I've been happier with Box. Plus you get 50gb free if you sign up by March 23!!! Don't hesitate!
Ya, I signed up for Box as it seemed like a good idea at the time. Turns out there are a few caveats to their 50GB.
1. There's no desktop client for personal accounts. You have to sign up for the business or enterprise level starting at $15 a month. Without a desktop client, uploading files one at a time via the web or phone makes the 50GB superfluous.
2. There's a 10GB monthly bandwidth limit. So, even if you COULD spend the time to upload 50GB in files one at a time it would take you 5 months to get them all uploaded. This is assuming you never download any since that presumably goes against your bandwidth number too.
So, it sounded good at the beginning. Now... not so much.
In short, it's not like getting Dropbox with 50GB of space.
You can upload multiple files at a time with this app and you can easily get on the site from your computer to manage files. Of course some people aren't going to think this is anywhere near dropbox but it works well for me and could work well for others. Worth a try if you ask me.
Currently using dropbox which i love but as of Jan 11th i have to start paying and i find it a bit pricey at 120 a yr... can anyone recommend another cloud? Something i can use on my phone...mainly pics and music
Depending on how much space you need. I use Box, which gave me 50gig
Google Drive. 1.99 a month for 100 gigs.

I use, drop box (sorta I quit using them as much since they like to suspend my account due to traffic), copy is my personal favorite and racked up a ton of free space with invites back when they first started and drive.
Or you can say screw all services and have your own cloud with one of these, which is what I've been thinking about grabbing

I just read that Mega gives you 50Gb for free bro.
