Wht about navigtion program? I tryed to install navigon but did not work. Maps need to be on sd any tips?
I have successfully installed iGo, from my Samsung Galaxy S II, but it dos not rescale beyond it's native 800x480 resolution. So, it functions, but not full screen.
If others have had good luck with offline navigation software on the Prime, post your experiences. I see the ones listed in the accessories forum are not proven to work with the Prime yet, I do not believe.

You could try copilot live.

ICS is supposed to have facial recognition for lock screen unlock but I am not seeing it as an option? Does anyone know why this is missing?

OP- please close. Just noticed this has already been discussed in general forum. Sorry, search isn't the greatest from the app. Anyone else wish you could search by individual forum on the app like you can using a browser?

seems like it's either not part of the tablet branch or asus took it out.
i wonder how hard it would be to add back in?
Does anyone know where to get that app that was on the demo TP's? I saw it in one of the review video's, it showed how much load was on each core after the companion core was maxed out...
Cant find one in the market, TY.

You will only get it from nVidia.
Unfortunately, I believe Sontin may be correct. That was an extremely cool application, and anyone who loves the Prime has probably tried to find it at one time or another. I never had any luck, and I am usually pretty good at ferreting out what I want from somewhere or other. That app is not in the wild, as far as I can tell. Shame, since it would be "fun and educational" to play with.
If anyone can prove my statements wrong, I gladly invite you to do so, with a link, of course.
Maybe a Developer could make one?

From what I understand, the companion core is invisible to the Android kernel. Likely NVIDIA had a custom kernel running on their test units and demo units to allow the companion core to be seen by the kernel.
Thus, it's my theory that even if we had that app, we'd need ASUS' test kernel for it to work properly.
I'd definitely love to see this. Even with .14, I'm not convinced we're yet getting the best battery life out of this thing, and I'm wondering if the system isn't dropping down to the companion core as often/as quickly as it should. I'm burning about 15%/hour when browsing, using Greader, that sort of stuff, and around 10%/hour when simply ebook reading using the B&N Nook app (at lowest brightness). I'm thinking we should be seeing better than that.

Cool app, but doesn't seem like it shows the companion core, unless I'm missing something.
Found the video http://www.slashgear.com/nvidia-tegra-2-quad-core-mobile-processor-revealed-and-detailed-09194118/

I found the video and the link is in the thread... If people can make a cpu monitor that showes a dual core as a quad core because of the multi threading itdoes then someone can dupelicate this this app...

When the first demo`s of the TP went out XDA posted A data dump of one after they rooted it , there should be a copy of that app in that code!

Oooh! I'd forgotten all about that...
Yeah, the companion core is supposed to be inaccessible. We'd have to cook up some custom kernels and some other hardcore stuff to even get their app to work I would think.

That was from demo unit at Gamestop. Not a system dump from actual demo device Asus used in videos that showed that. Worth a look though. Let us know if you find something
Hi all,
Couldn't find anything on the forum about this so far, but it seems like our Primes have another issue with WiFi. There seems to be a vulnerability in the chipset that was used.
Broadcom appears to have published a fix, but the question is, will Asus provide it in an update?

You do realise that this is really a non-issue. I agree that it needs to be fixed, but it will have no affect on the security of your Prime whatsoever.
So you've all seen the gamer style tablets on the market, i think this would be a fairly sweet idea, an enclosure with a game pad on each side, anyone know if such a thing might exist? Would be superb for GTA

Not that I know of, most you could do is use a bluetooth or USB gamepad.
Is also possible to bind touch actions on keyboard dock if You have it.
Are you talking about Moga?
Yeah, it would be nice for phone, for me tablet is to big and heavy for that. I'm using Rumblepad 2 with my tab now and it's ok.
PS3 Pad !
