The ram on my phone, is pretty poor. And I'm wondering, if it's just my phone.
This is a screen shot of the Ram after killing all apps.

This is after all normal startup apps load.
My ram on average, is always under 25%, majority of the time it's at 21%. Maybe this is the reason, for my system reboots.
I'm on the stock updated rom, btw.
that's normal. Your not supposed to be using an app killer anyway. That's makes battery life worse. The only time you ever need to kill an app is if it keeps your phone awake while the screens off. A million things could be running if needed, but if none of them keep your phone awake youre fine. To check if somethings keeping it awake, go to your battery stats in the power settings and tap on the graph on the top. If you notice a huge bar of blue in the awake part and the screen part blank, then you have a problem, unless you're listening to music. If not you're fine. Root and install mean rom or rejuvenated rom. They're both wonderful. If there's a root for you.

Yeah that's understandable, but why is 75% of my ram being hogged, when there is no apps running? It's probably the reason why sense keep rebooting.
Do you have any issues with sense reloading? If not can you check out your memory ram, for me?

sense has a built in task manager. Its in the app drawer. I have atm 191 mb free and 489 used. No reboots since day 1, but I did root it as soon as I could've.
Over 500 MB used and 170 MB free. On the task killer page of the Memory Booster app you imaged, you can see the list of the top memory hogs.
I have Sense reboots occasionally, but less often since the last OTA update fixes were included in a deodexed ROM I'm running.

things need to run for the phone to work, but theyre not really costing your battery at all. It's how linux works. You need things to run. Youre fine, its either software or hardware. When you can root, do it. if it still happens, its probably hardware.

I'm not talking about battery at all. My phone reboots almost every time I hit the home button. If my phone only has 20 to 25 % memory before I open a app is bad business.
Are you running a ROM with the latest OTA fixed baked into it, as the OTA addresses Sense stability issues, etc.?

Hello everyone,
Keeping things short here:
I want my phone's battery to last longer than 7 hours no use (with decent signal).
Running the latest Myn's rom.
I'm in love with Sense3.0, tried Sense3.5 and I love it (kinda prefer 4g for use at home, so I'm not using 3.5 yet)
I love Sense 3.0. Would Desensifying (getting rid of Sense) Improve my battery life DRASTICALLY? I mean, how heavy is Sense anyway?
I'm using myns ROM with tiamats sence kernal and wow I'm getting awesome battery life. It's almost unreal with tiamats kernal. Try it out and see what you think

The less processes you have running, the longer the phone will operate.
Enable "power efficiency" & you could also adjust a "power saver" condition in the power settings on a Sense based ROM.
On a Senseless ROM you could run longer but again, it all depends on what's running, Lengthen the time for your synced items or updated those items manually & you'll be fine.
7 hours(no use)!!! That's horrible. You might want to wipe everything and reflash. I haven't tried Myns ROM but I seriously doubt it sucks that much
No use 7 hours? I get 24+ hours on myns if I don't touch the phone.

Even with steady use (goofing off at work) I feel like I must get more than 7 hours. I get much more than that normally. I'm using viperROM which throttles the CPU based on the screen's on/off state.
You must have an app keeping your phone awake. The Evo can get around a week on its battery if you don't touch it at all.
Find out whatever is doing it and you should be getting a better battery life.
So turning on power efficiency helped, in 7 hours the battery was still at 30%. I'm going to try now without sense.

Yep, with power efficiency on.
It's totally worth it.
So far here's my statistical data
Sense 3.0 with power efficiency off - about 7 hour
Sense 3.0 with power efficiency on - 11 hours
Desensified (gingerbread) - 17 hours!
All moderate use, no repeated trials, but you can see my point. Hopefully Sense 3.5 would be lighter.
P.S. I'm using Warm ROM with the stock kernal on an hboot 1.5

I'd bet it was a widget or service that was removed, not Sense specifically.
I'm at 11 hours with two reboots (including a full zipped Nandroid) that took me down just over 10%, an hour long conference call, a whole bunch of texting and e-mails, and am at 44%... 47% was voice calls, 28% display, 8% wifi, 6% cell standby (10% TWS - ugh. service at home sucks) ...
if close 3G longer use!
Trying out InfectedROM tomorrow, I hear the bench scores are much higher, won't do a test for Sense, only GB.
Got InfectedROM and decided to try out Tiamats Kernal.. benchmarks went from initial stock of 2500 to tiamat 1500... haha
Wasn't Sense 3.5 meant to have lower HW-demands than 3.0?!? I think I read that somewhere... That even older HTC handsets that couldn't run 3.0 could get upgraded to 3.5.

Unfortunately, for you, it's a CDMA ROM.. And yeah that's why I expect Sense3.5 to run smoother, I'll flash Hybrid+ or any other Sense3.5 when it has full features and get back at this thread

I'm not a GSM phone owner, sorry. But now that you've clarified some more, I'm sure others will help you. Another suggestion is to list ROM/kernel combos you have used so others don't recommend ones that you're getting the drain on.
Check whether or not an app is causing the battery drain by preventing youre phone from sleeping. Think "better battery stats" Or "Battery stats" (cant remember exactly) on the market lets you see what app is running in the background and preventing your phone from sleeping.

Not on GSM either, however, sometimes battery drain issues are caused by wake locks or rogue apps, regardless of the carrier. That would be a handset problem. I've heard purchasing better battery stats from the market is a VERY useful tool in figuring out what is draining your battery. Once you narrow it down, then you'll have better success in finding a solution.

i wiped and formated the phone, updated Firmware and installed ☢ [ROM] 5/27/12 | ICS NonSense® 3.1 | AOSP Feel | Senseless | Smooth | ☢, the Phone starts but has no mobile internet, i have no wifi here so i cant install apps to check drain, so i wiped data and factory reset and installed [6 June] FunkySandwich-3D 4.0 ICS 4.0.3 Sense 3.6| FAST | TWEAKS | 3.28.401.1 |, now i have mobile internet, downloadet apps and see that the phone dont deep sleep. I think i fixed it with airplane mode on, phone off, battery out 10-30sec, phone on, wait, airplane mode off, after that the phone can sleep but the drain goes on, i have 3 screenshots from the last hour, maybe the can help a little bit...

Hi.
Maybe try to wipe ur battery stats through custom recovery. First charge ur battery to full and wipe the battery stats and let it drain until ur phone turns off by itself. Do this 3-4 times. It will help to increase ur battery life.
From the picture u posted, i think ur phone can go to deep sleep mode. So dont worry. Maybe try to disable certain features like auto sync, gps and all.

You have wifi on and not connected. Terrible battery killer on when not connected.
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda app-developers app
Let this be a note to everyone, the screen should be your #1 battery killer, #2 should be Android OS, #3 should be calls (unless you don't make many calls), after that will be your background apps. If it's not in that order, one of your apps is using up way too much of the CPU. In this case, "nextsms" is using up more battery than the OS and voice calls.
another note on screen time. I spend at least two hours a day reading books on my screen while commuting. I use the widgetsoid display control with two settings...20% and auto. I am indoors 95% of the time and 20% works fine. When I need to make a call or use the screen outside I tap the widget to auto and then switch it back when I am done. I am running 215 with hotfrog and I was at 40% after 18 hours when I went to bed yesterday.
Easiest way to save battery is to disable (uninstall if you are rooted) Google Maps. That app is evil, it runs whether you run it or not, and can account for 10% or more of your battery usage every day. If you need a navigation app use Map Quest, it is just as good if not better, and only runs when you are using it.
As someone else already mentioned, disabling WiFi when you are not on a network can save a lot of battery as well.
The darker the wallpaper the better. Completely black pixels are off and don't use battery on an AMOLED diplay.
Turn off vibration, or only use it when sound is off.
Disable audio/vibrate notifications on apps that you can wait until you are looking at your screeen to get the status on.
Just a few things I can think of off-hand that you can do without rooting on a stock ROM. Of course the sky is the limit if you have a rooted custom ROM. For example, on my original RAZR I can get 20 hours a day on a single charge with about 3 hours of screen-on time, 4G all day, etc. All I have done is use custom build.prop tweaks, calibrate the battery, use custom backlight settings, and custom kernel and scheduler. I haven't disabled any functions of the phone.
Clearing the cache and dalvik cache should help too.

do this.
You have WiFi on but your not connected. Either you suddenly disconnected when you were inside your house. Or you left your house and forgot to switch it off, which may lead to your sudden battery drain.
If your not using WiFi, switch it of and if your not using 3G ,switch to 2G and you can save so much battery

Since Verizon has not released .215 (at least not to my knowledge), where would you suggest that a user get .215? I assume that .215 refers to one or more "leak" versions. If there's more than one .215 (since they maybe rolled into various and sundry custom ROMs), is there a particular variant that you recommend?
I'm rooted, but otherwise running stock .211

I would uninstall/freeze your Handcent SMS app and make sure the phone is set to LTE/CDMA vs. the default Global and see if that has any drastic affect before flashing. That's under menu -> Settings -> More ... -> Mobile Networks -> Network Mode.

MeanBean is very good too, but my battery life is miserable now. Looking in the battery stats the only thing that looks unusual is the Internet (meaning the browser app) is at 36 percent of the total battery usage.

I'm on MeanBean .5 and my battery life, albeit not better than MeanRom, is not that bad. My internet usage reading is 8%. I usually don't leave my 3G/WiFi on all day and I only turn it on when I want to check something or get a MMS. I guess that's why my battery life isn't nearly as bad as yours on MeanBean.
So sounds like your battery life is about the same? Are you using the new kernel or the old one?
Yeah I would make that assumption. I'm using whichever kernel Mikey included in the Rom, which I'm assuming is the JB kernel because the ICS kernel won't work. I try to stay away from other kernels because the kernel Mikey includes in his Roms is usually tweaked to work specifically for his Roms.
Disable Google now, don't fill up every home screen with widgets, reboot and give the kernel a day to settle. That should improve your battery life to almost ics levels

I don't use Google Now, nor do I use any widgets other than weather. Hmmm...

Something else to keep in mind is that MeanROM included Mikey's custom kernel, which was a big contribution to the fantastic battery life.

And someone else suggested a simple factory reset after flashing the ROM...(I know this helped out with a previous phone I had - it was burning battery like cray and running hot, and factory reset cured everything.)

Go to the Google play services app and clear the data.
That was causing a huge wake lock.

I was on STOCK 4.3 also WW edition. I just switched to stock T-Mo edition. Search the forums and you will see a bunch of complaints about battery life on 4.3 after just a few hours of flashing. Everyone replies back to give it a few cycles and how it is the best battery life they have ever had.
The battery life on mine with the 4.3 has improved greatly.

I hope it works its self in, because yesterday was HORRIBLE. Even today, I took my phone off the charger 30 minutes ago and with NO USE, I'm at 92%
Animations seem choppier too. Rather annoying

Guys... Install something like Gsam battery monitor so you came actually tell what is using your battery.
You most likely have rouge apps that are causing wake locks

Anyone else getting sluggish performance after the update? I never had any performance issues on 4.1 but some apps are really slow and jerky now, even some of the regular system animations are slower.
Also, is it just me or did the developer options disappear from settings.

Yeah, I had to Factory Reset twice to get rid of the lag, and it didn't completely resolve it. It's like even some of the core apps aren't optimized. Weird. The stuttering animations really make me pissed
If you want developer options go to settings, about phone, software information, more, then click on Build Number a bunch of times and it re-enables developer options
I feel bad for u guys tht had to wait all this time and now have performance/battery issues ... I have none here hahahaha
Actually I think it's better after that 2nd reset. It may have just needed some time to "settle"

Seriously? That's weird.
I don't want to factory reset, especially if it doesn't even solve the problem. This is lame.
I disabled the lookout app. That got rid of my wake lock . Battery life is still bad though.

No problem here. I did notice that my phone was running hot after the update. I ended up powering it off for a few minutes. When I powered it back up, it ran at normal temperature. Or maybe it just cooled down.
well, I sure am glad I have a jump from t-mobile. I'm going to offload this piece of crap for Nexus 5.

I have no battery issues here. I cleared all cache using an app right after the update.
