Is it true that....? - Eee Pad Transformer Accessories

...some 3rd party USB cable/chargers you buy does not charge our tf101?
i was on amazon looking for an extra usb cable/charger, and people were writing reviews that this or that charger wont charge their devices/transfer data.

There are many USB chargers, you need the ones that have 5V-12V / 2-1,2A output.

[Q] Car Charger?

I have tried a couple different ones and neither worked. What is a good working car charger for this phone?
Any micro USB car charger should work, I like the HTC one since it has to usb ports so you can charge two things at once. You might have a bad fuse if multiple chargers arent working in your car though.
No I think they don't provide enough power. I hear they require 1.0-2.0 amp car chargers. Guess most cheap ones including one from Radio Shack only does about half amp. Worked good for my old TP2 but not for my Evo 3D.
Weird...yeah usually go with a OEM car charger always instead of the cheap generic chargers that's what I do and they work fine.

Inconsistent Charging

Since I travel a lot, I prefer the detachable design of car chargers like this Satechi USB Car Charger and the
Palm Pre USB Charger. Although both of these chargers and many others that I have are rated at 1000+ mA, they all charge my phone very inconsistently. Sometimes while charging, my phone continues to drain when using GPS navigation and other times it just charges very, very slowly. However, the OEM Sprint charger usually produces better results even though it only puts out 850 mA. I've tested these chargers in different rental cars and the results are similar so I don't think it depends on the make and model of the car being used.
Any reason why the Sprint charger works better than all others?
Are you using a detachable USB car charger that always charges well while using GPS navigation? If so, which one?

I went straight to amazon.com and purchased several OEM Motorola Wall chargers and the rapid car charger. To me the "portable" chargers that you linked to are cool if you are a person who needs to charge different types of USB devices but our phone uses a standard microusb adapter so the Motorola Rapid Car Charger can be used for many devices. I recommend you get one: http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Vehicle-Adapter-micro-USB-Charger/dp/B000S5Q9CA
I use this: http://www.farmandfleet.com/products/737964-duracell-no-tips-mini-usb-car-charger.html#.UI15iDgpCSw. Only cost $8 at staples and charges like you're not doing anything while using navigation

Yes, i have that one too but I'm trying to avoid using a charger with a spiral cord. For me, it doesn't pack as well as the detachable type.

Thank you, I couldn't find it at Staples but I did find it here at OfficeMax. Placing my order now...
Also, I found this review about a different product (which I'm also ordering) that explains the problem with Androids charging slowly with most car chargers. It looks like this charge only cable (which I'm also ordering) may allow all USB chargers to charge faster!

2 Amp MicroUSB Cable for Note 2

Where to buy the OEM charging cable for Note 2?
How can you tell if the cable is capable of 2 Amp current?
Here's an OEM charger and cable on Amazon, probably find them on ebay too.
http://www.amazon.com/Original-Char...ords=samsung+oem+charging+cable+galaxy+note+2
Its the charger that needs to be 2A capable, rather than the cable. Any decent USB cable should do.
I ordered this one, supposed to be here Monday, will let you know how it does.

Charger showed up yesterday, according to battery monitor widget. It's putting out as much power as the original. It is a knockoff brand though, the printing on the charger doesn't match the original, all the text is the same, but it's a different size/color. If it continues to work as it does now I'll be happy with the purchase.

Long charger cable.

Hello. Can someone recommend me a longer charging cable as the one I got now I bad quality and will not charge the phone when I use it at the same time, I use original charger and random cheap cable 1,5m.
This phone is really picky, and the longer the cable, the longer the attenuation.
Still, 1,5m isn't bad. I use a "gold plated" Monoprice cable that had a ferrite core. It does the trick just fine.
Also, you can try modifying your cheap cable to be charge only by tying the two data pins together at the phone end. That often makes it work, sometimes even faster and since it's a cheap cable, there's little lost in case of mistakes. ?. The are plenty of howtos online.
Attaching to a qi charger is another matter, though.
I use media bridge 6ft cable from Amazon. Worked for my g2 and works for g3

I'm also using the 6ft media bridge. Best cable I have ever used. I'm getting 1.8 amps charging rate but I am using the anker 40 Watt USB hub which I would also recommend for anyone who has to charge multiple devices.

few things i've noticed.
Stock G2/G3 cable. If plugged in to USB 3.0 port charges phone at quick rate. I believe USB 3.0 is rated for 2.0Amps.
with longer mediabridge or other cable only charges at 1.8A when plugged in to stock charger or higher output chargers.

Magnetic charger experia z2

So Ive ordered a magnetic charger stand from Sony. I refuse to buy third party off eBay. Or even when they say it's 'genuine' it's not.
What's your views on them? Do they charge well, and does charge last just as well as micro USB.
I've gone for magnetic charger to save opening up left flap to USB

I don't recommend to buy 3rd party charger unless from famous/trustful accessory company.
because i cannot trust about its configuration and compatibility with phone battery.
(bad voltage, ampere & etc)
:good:
I got one and I don't have a problem with it. Just make sure your casing (If your using one) is not blocking your magnetic charger port. Charging time is good 3hrs around 65-70% charge directly from your wall outlet.
I don't trust 3rd party chargers. I've tried them before and they're always poor quality and overheat etc.
I have the scr10 flip case. I use this for more protection while I'm out and about and at work etc.

By the way Im using Sony's Magnetic Dock Charger.
I've odered mine direct from Sony. It's only £24.99 I know it's alot for a charger. But it's better than continously buying third party crap
That's for the dock and two cables I think it was

I just got the magnetic cable and plugged it into the Sony charger. All is fine, I think it's slower, but not having to open the USB flap all the time is amazing.

Mines just arrived today I don't mind a slower charge. Saves opening USB cover all the time. I've seen people who have just ripped there's off. Why ruin a good handset

I'm using a cable I bought from eBay, only 2.99 and it's been working without any problems and no problems with my phone or battery either for the last 5months.
I just use my Sony cable which came with the phone. And used for dock for first time last night. Had over 12 hours charge so far and on 80+% still
Never really had problems with my battery or cable. I just refuse to use third party anymore
