Let me begin by saying i am a relatively a novice in the field of android smart phone and installing Custom Roms in short i am a noob
I have a Sony Xperia x10 mini E10i Smart phone which already had Ginger DX Custom Rom installed, which was installed by my friend. And now he is gone, and i wish to do Install new custom roms like Ice Cream Sandwich or which will be the most suited for this phone with most apps working and stability according to the users??
Could anyone guide me on how to begin with a step by step Tutorial for beginners (noobies) in order to install a new Rom with complete fresh install.

Hi there! I started playing around with custom roms for my x10 mini pro u20 about two weeks ago, it's both been a lot of fun and a good bit of frustration. This is the thread that helped me understand rooting (unlocking the phone for installing custom software), installing (flashing) kernels (base software/ installs drivers), and installing (flashing) ROMs (GUI/ User interface software/operating system)
!! Use titanium backup or nandroid to back up all your current install to your SDcard. If you don't, you're gonna be annoyed later.
1) Download and install Flash tool for Xperia devices http://www-stud.uni-due.de/~sfanmakr/X10Flash/X10Flash-2.1.zip
2) Download nAa kernel for ICS http://minicm.googlecode.com/files/E10_nAa-ics-04_2.6.29.6-nAa-ics-04.ftf (Your kernel must always match the build of the rom you are going to install)
- save the .ftf file in the /firmware directory of your flashtool install
3) Download ICS ROM appropriate to your phone from http://code.google.com/p/minicm/downloads/list
4) Download Google Apps package for ICS http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
That should be all you need to download.
You do not have to format or loose data from your SD card. It is where you store the ROM zip file and the Gapps (Google Apps) zip file, without unpackaging them, in the root directory of the SD card.
Here is a step by step on how to flash the new kernel on your phone using flashtool, then how to install the zips. It is a page about an x8, but the process is more or less identical between the x8, x10 mini, and x10 mini pro.
http://apgalaxy.com/minicm9-v3-0-2-xperia-x8-ics/
Good luck!
I have found I prefer gingerbread/miniCM7, my u20/ mini pro gets very slow on miniCM9.
Remember to hit the Thanks button!

What the guy above said except don't download a ROM That's not for our phones! Smultrom or whatever it was isn't the mini. Robyn is the mini. Download miniCM9 from the x10 mini android development section

Thanks x10man, was kinda confused because of the poster's description of his phone. What's the shorthand for the xperia x10 mini? I know the x10 mini pro is u20. Kinda important in this particular case.
and that'd be 'What the chick above said...' (LOL)

Hey thanks bro i finally installed CMmini 9 on the phone
So far its looks great, has improved alot from the last time...
Anyway i have few more queries
1- What are the other custom roms i can use or try? Like IceCream Sandwich, GingerBread, Froyo and where can i get these custom Roms?
2- Are there incompatibility issues with certain Roms in case of my device?
3- I wish to try veetle App on my phone, i installed Veetle app but it asked for Adobe Flash Player 11 which incompatible with my E10i model
..so i did some googling and got to some page where in comments someone said Its possible to Install Adobe Flash player 11 in GingerBread and Froyo. Is it possible? and where can i get the Latest Roms of Froyo and GingerBread
4- What is the best app for downloading paid apps on the phone like applanet?
Thanks bro :victory:

More folk are going to have to post to answer those questions for you! I've gone so far as just the custom roms myself. I tried one of the nightly builds of miniCM7, and it rocks! It looks like CM7 and CM9 are two different branches instead of actual in-line software version updates. Aka, a newer build of miniCM7 (like 2.3.6) can be just as up to date as miniCM09.
One of the helpful tools on this site is the 'search in this thread' box on the right hand side of the page. You have to navigate up to the appropriate forum, and then type something like [ROM] in the search box, and then press enter, and browse the search results. That usually helps a lot with searching for custom roms, for example. Try starting in 'XPERIA X10 Mini Android Development' http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=726 that's where developers are supposed to post their Roms.
you can try searching, for example, for '[ROM] Adobe Flash' to see if someone has made a rom with adobe flash player packaged already in the rom, or if they comment about it.
Always browse the last few pages of a ROM thread, to see if folk are reporting errors you don't want to run into.
Always look at the ROM requirements- the developer will almost always tell you what kernel to flash before installing the ROM.
INSTALL ANTIVIRUS! Avast or AVG from the google play store are the best. Download, install, then open the Antivir program to get it running. Android is one of the most hacked OSes out there because it's so popular, and even google play has malware in it. Antivir should be your FIRST step when getting cozy with a new rom.
You can install android software from the web too... You first must allow 'Unknown sources' - I think it's under either Applications or security in settings. Then use browser to navigate to the page/software you want, and you can download from there. If it's a *.apk file, you can browse to it using file manager under the SDcard's /download dir, and then open it to install it.
Sure, there are plenty of incompatable ROMs.. just like there's a whole lot of android phones. That's why it's best to use the forum/search tool, and read to make sure the ROM is built for your particular phone. I've accidentally installed, for example, a flash kernel for the E10 on my phone, and a ROM for the u20i, and then successfully booted it, but could not use the touchscreen! The Kernel is one of the most important parts, having the wrong kernel is often the reason for Wifi not working properly, etc.
Thus.. always make sure that you are using the right kernel for your phone AND for the rom. You are using a kernel right now for ICS, and if you were to try and install a ROM for gingerbread (android 2.x.x) on it, you might be able to boot the rom and even use a bit of the software, but certain functions would be buggy.
If you do everything and then reboot and just get the kernel's animation for minutes and minutes on end, something went funky with the install. reboot it, enter the kernel, enter mounts and storage and then mount USB, and then re-download the ROM and install again.
Remember to press the thanks button!
Enjoy, -illys

Thanks alot man :victory:
You made a a lot easiar for me.
I installed CM9 based on ICS and turns out adobe flash player isnt going to work in this ROM.
So as stated i downloaded the CM7 GingerBread Rom from this site (h t t p: // code.google.com/p/minicm/downloads/list ), as i read on the forum people saying adobe flash player is working on this ROM smoothly. This is the one i downloaded (MiniCM7-2.2.1-robyn MiniCM7-2.2.1 Build featured x10 mini MiniCM7) Release date June 10 88.1 mb <-- I hope i have downloaded the correct Rom
Anyway so i proceeded with the same process as explained to install a Rom. Except i did not flashed any new kernel or anything.
I copied the GingerBread Rom (MiniCM7-2.2.1-robyn) in the SD card and restarted and tapped the back button during the nAa kernel boot and got to the screen where i can install the GingerBread rom from SD card. Ps- I did Wiped Data/factory reset,Cache. Dalvik-Cache, Battery Stats, and formatted the system and then installed the new GingerBread Rom from sd card. And it got installed smoothly and when i restarted the screen got stuck at the bootlogo of Mini CM7
I got confused what have i done wrong here
Anyway i did some search on forum and i found maybe its the kernel?? For GingerBreal CM7 there is a specific kernel??
Is this the reason why the GingerBread Rom got stuck on Boot logo screen? or there any other reason to it
And If i have to install a new Rom say for instance CM7 GingerBread Rom over the already installed CM9 ICS Rom what are the steps for doing that. (Ps- As the steps i tried didnt work)
And if it is the kernel issue where can i download the kernel for GingerBread Rom CM7?
Lastly i have some adventurous stupid questions
1- Like PC we have dual boot where we can choose the OS out of all the OS's installed, Can this be possible on the phone?? Like Installing more then 1 Rom on same device?
2- And is there a way to Connect my phone to my Pc and use the rom on my desktop?
Like i have 40 inch LCD TV which is connected to my CPU via HDMI output... so can it be possible to run the Rom on the desktop by connecting the Phone to Pc?
3- Like is there a Virtual machine on which Android custom roms can be tested before usage?? Like Vmware and Parallels for Windows
Again Thanks a lot for guiding me, this post really made my life easiar
Waiting for reply
Regards

Yes you need the nAa-GB kernel from here
Just flash it with flashtool and your MiniCM7 installation should boot.
Not sure about the dual-boot, i think it's possible by installing one ROM on the sd-card and the other one on the internal space (which is where the rom normally goes), but we have only space for one kernel, so both roms should work with the same kernel. How to go about it, I don't know though.
Connecting your phone to your pc won't run your ROM on the pc, since your pc has got an x86 architecture and your phone is based on ARM, I guess connecting the phone directly to the hdmi-output of your TV might run the ROM full-screen, but unfotunately, our phones don't have HDMI out. and i don't think it's going to work through usb.
I'm fairly sure there is an Android-emulator that will run Android ROMS or Apps in a virtual machine for testing or trying out. I think that is included in the official Android Software Development Kit from Google.

[TUTORIAL]Up/Downgrading, ReFlash/ing, Rooting/xRecovery[For Noobs ONLY]

Hi guys. yeah hi to you guys.
this thread are probably only for newbies, and when you're reading at this post,
YES , you're noobs. (i once was)
what purpose im posting this thread?
since there's been couples of, i mean tons of new x10 mini/pro that with no ability to solve their problem with:
bricked devices, downgrade, upgrade, rooting, xrecovery.
not all member can help you guys everytime when kill your device or asking for tutorial how-to thing with posting new thread.
so i decided this post gonna help you solved most of your problem.
ABOUT SECTION
Before wee get started, lt me explain little more details ABOUT:
1. Rooting
2. xRecovery
3. Flashing, Downgrading and Upgrading
4. Troubleshooting
1. Rooting
Code:
What is Rooting? and what are the benefits Rooting my device?
Let me tell you why.
What Is Rooting?
First of all, for the newbies, let me define what rooting is. Getting root or
rooting your phone is the process of modifying the operating system on your
device which will grant you complete control over it.
This means you can overcome limitations that the carriers and manufacturers
put on your phone, extend system functionality, and even upgrade it to a custom flavor of Android.
The name root equally known as Administrator on Windows is called root.
Benefits Of Rooting
Full Control Over Android
1. Back Up The System
2. Save Space On Your Phone
3. Move cache data to SD card
4. Move installed applications to SD card
5. Install Custom ROMs & Themes
6. Run Special Applications:
some of application that needed rooting access
# Super User – allows you to approve or deny root access to any application
# Auto Memory Manager – kills tasks you wouldn’t be able to otherwise
# Move Cache for Root – move cache for browser, market, maps, street view,
and gmail onto SD card
# Startup Manager – Clean up android system from system startup to boost
system power and memory from the get go
# SetCPU for Root Users – Overclocking your rooted device lets you speed up
your phone’s processor when you are using it and lets you slow it down when it
goes into "sleep" mode. It can either be a battery hog or battery saver.
# Root Explorer - working as file manager, where you can manage file not only
on sd card, but also in system files.
# Rom Manager - which allows you to easily flash a custom recovery image
which is what you will need in order to backup and restore your phone.
2.xRecovery
Code:
What is xRecovery? and the benefits of xRecovery?
What is xRecovery?
xRecovery is a custom recovery console proudly made by Zdzihu for Sony
Ericsson Xperia X10, Mini and Mini Pro devices based on the source code of
Cyanogen’s recovery
Benefits Of xRecovery
It lets you easily perform:
1. Manage and Restore Backups.
(good options before flashing or installing custom incase of bricking your device, you can always use xRecovery to restore backuped files)
2. Reboot.
(allow you to reboot)
3. Installing and flashing ROMs, Themes and Applications From Zip Files.
4. Wipe Your Phone, Factory Reset, Wiping Cache, Data, Dalvik Cache and
Battery Stats.
5. Mounting, Unmounting System Files.
(allowed you to to modified files and folder inside system files)
6. Formatting Partitions.
7. Fixing Permissions.
(allowed you to modify, set the right permission for certain files)
3. Flashing, Downgrading & Upgrading
Code:
What is Flashing, Downgrading & Upgrading??? are you retarded?:D
I don't think i have to explain these more details cause eventhough you're noob.
anyway i'll just explain it in simple way.
0. Flashing are the universal word for Downgrading and Upgrading and installing.
(thats the way im using the word for flashing.)
(eg: im going to flash the old firmware/ the latest firmware/the awesome
Sony Blues Theme/ the Froyo ROM.)
1. Downgrading is the proccess where you're reverting your android baseband
and
firmware to the old version.
2. Upgrading is the proccess where you're going to update your baseband and
firmware to the latest version.
3. Both of the proccess above can be perform with Flashtool and Sony Ericsson
Update Service(you can't downgrade using SEUS)
Nujhum Sensei, i got couples of question.
1. What is Flash Tool?
-FlashTool now is something like an all in one Tool for your phone.
It can:
- Flash original Images (Android 1.6 & Android 2.1 Images)
- Root your phone (Only if the phone is on a 2.1 android version)
- Install xRecovery, Busybox
- Clean your Rom (remove /system/apps apps of your choice)
- Clear dalvik cache
- Optimize (install of JIT v2)
- Customize (installs apps found in the custom/apps folder of the flashtool)
- Clean uninstalled (remove any references to system apps removed in the Clean (root needed) step)
- Edit /system/build.prop
2. What is Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) ?
-Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS)
It can:
-Update your phone for optimal performance and get the latest enhancements.
-Regardless if you have the latest software, it is a good routine to run Update
Service to improve software stability.
-Also, if you experience problems with your phone this may be solved by a software update.
4. Troubleshooting
i. Bricked Device
ii. Waranty Void
Code:
i. bricked devices
- normally a bricked device happened on the proccess of installing/flasing
custom ROMs and Themes, Down/Upgrading using flashtool and etc.(i only
experienced all those i've stated).
- most problem you'll encountered whith bricked device are, endless loop
reboot, loop reboot and can't load xRecovery and else. :D
- and when it happen.
- "MOM, i killed my phone that daddy bought for me last week. he's going to kill
me". DONT WORRY, THERE'S ALWAYS HAVE SOLUTION TO EVERY PROBLEMS.
- You can always flash your device using Sony Ericsson Update Service (SUES).
which i've include where to download and how to use it in the 3rd step of
Flashing/Down/Upgrading Tutorial.
ii. waranty void
- the most critical part, at least the most of you guys will think after rooting,
xrecovery, installing custom room now your waraty are void.
- why? because Sony wont like it when we messing up with their device.
- don't worry you can get it back by flashing it using, yes, again using SEUS.
Done with the details.
First of all, the link im gonna post are not mine.
you can thank me (i don't mind if you didn't), but thank the original creator.

DANGER DRAGON A HEAD!!!
Just for reminder, before you guys flashing a custom rom or theme, make sure you back up you original stock rom with xRecovery. WHY!!?
when you did something wrong in the flashing process, you can always retore it with xRecovery.
just like that~

i will think about that later, either to post it or no.
it should be no problem if they read the instructions, and the requirement, and the right base band/firmware for installing themes and custom roms.
well, lets see, if more request to come.
if wouldn't hurt, but
im not sure if it goes well with the dev that own the rom or theme.

dont have to change permission.
reboot your device, right after the white sony ericsson appear, hit multiple time the back button.
Well this is perfect, but the only problem that I see is Root Explorer app is not anymore free, so it is better to update post with alternative apps!
Thanks

flash kernel

hi there!
first of all, i would like to thank you all guys. its amazing the massive amount of stuff being developed here!
i am writing to you because i am seriously considering flashing the kernel. after uninstalling an app the 'iptables' somehow cant be used by firewall, and so a cleanup from scratch seems sensible. i have been checking the forums for a couple of days already looking for more info about how to flash kernels, but all i found either seems to be quite beyond my IT skills, or the risk of something ruining the phone is just too high. hence my question:
does anyone know a safe and/or user friendly way of flashing the kernel?
i am kind of familiar already with flashing roms (using cyanogenmod cm6 now, and might consider upgrading to cm7)...although thats it.
thanks for the help!

The only way, as far as i am concerned, to flash a kernel is through flash tool. You put the kernel file in a folder run flashtool and press flash its simple really just do you research and you should be fine.
Here is flashtool
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
Download FlashTool version 0.2.9.1 Beta, not the new 0.3
Here is a link on how to use
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943643&highlight=flashtool
And check out this too it is about bootloader
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225
The last link will explain everything you need to know really.
Cheers,
Evil.
as far as i understand, i need to mess with bootloader in order to flash kernel. Is this true? even if i just want to go for the safe option, the default kernel?

any clue? i'm currently using CM6.1 rom.

[Q] Xperia X10 Mini Pro Firmware

Hi there,
I've not really had any experience with Android handsets, however my wife has just purchased an Xperia X10 Mini Pro and I read that you can't install/run apps from the memory card.
I have also read that as of Android 2.2 this is allowed, however Sony Ericsson haven't released this for this particular handset. Please correct me if I am wrong on this!
So to get to the point...I am looking for the easiest possible firmware (and a guide) to install to allow this functionality. I must also point out that I would like the most stable firmware that can do this, as I do not want to lose functionality that some custom firmwares bring with them.
Thanking you in advance
Easiest way: Root standard rom, partition sd card and use Link2SD
This is also most stable option.

You must unlock bootloader... install new kernel and flash, for example, MiniCM Pro v18 (I'm using it and it's totally crash free... works everything... fast)
Start with this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225
This post will help you to unlock the phone's bootloader ... (damn sony and their locked bootloaders)
Then follow with this:
http://www.multiupload.com/H9THXDXQZK
This .zip file containst a readme.txt that will help you to unlock/root your x10 mini pro and install CWM (Clockworkmod) ... right after that you need the rom for MiniCM Pro... its here:
http://www.multiupload.com/GPQOE7ZDYJ
You must copy this zip in your SD card... then shutdown the phone, start it again and when you see "Sony Ericsson" in white, tap the back key several times... that should get you into Clockwork recovery...
The best practice is making a full backup (there's an option in the recovery to make it)
Now you must make a Factory Reset/wipe (CAREFUL!! THIS DELETES ALL THE PHONE'S CONTENTS INCLUDING SMS, APPLICATIONS, DOCUMENTS AND ANYTHING YOU HAVE IN THE DATA PARTITION, SDcard files aren't deleted though) and then Install ROM from zip file and select the zip file you just copied on your sdcard.
Once finished tell it to reboot... it will ask you a pair of questions... answer then "no" for the first and "yes" for the second (this questions are because minicm v18 changes clockwork from 3.X to 4.X ... everything is ok)
Reboot your phone and voilà!!
Hope this will help...
Cheers!!

Aaaaah, i guess you just gave me a so much helpful point there. I'm using MiniCM7 Pro v16; when i try and start a v16+ (17 or 18) install, i always get a "can't open archive. Installation aborted (bad)" or something similar.
I installed the v16 the normal way. So is it possible that the v17 and v18 need a new, separate-to-install kernel, as otherwise the installation won't start? v16 is pretty cool, but as WLAN got some attention in v18, i'd like to try it.
To the threadstarter: i can only speak for v16, but concerning this, i can totally recommend this rom. Had absolutely no installation issues, everything worked fine, battery lasts way longer, more options to configure the device (if you want)... the developers did an absolutely great work to complete the task Sony Ericsson was not able to.
If you read carefully what needs to be done (Links were posted), there's not much chance to do much wrong and it'll be worth the time.

Unlocking the bootloader and installing a new kernel isn't needed at all for MiniCM Pro. Other ROMs, such as GinTonic.SE, can also be used with the stock kernel, one just needs to flash the kernel modules besides the main ROM. As he is a new user, I think he shouldn't unlock the bootloader, as it's adding unneeded complexity to the task.

I think the file you downloaded got corrupted.
I'm using v18 with the stock kernel, and I think this is what is recommended by paul-xxx, as you need to manually remove some kernel modules from the ROM if using the custom kernels available in xda.
Please check the md5sum of your file to see if it matches:

I'm not using a custom kernel either... but I unlocked my bootloader because I thought it was needed. Well in fact I had to do it because my phone company installed a custom kernel 2.x.B.5
Maybe the problem is that allyouracid could be using xRecovery instead CWM ? I think v17 and on REQUIRE CWM while the previous ones worked with xRecovery
Cheers!

[Q] xperia Mini Pro Questions

Hi this is my 1st thread in this forum,so please dont bash/mock me as i am completely noob to android stuff
I have a Sony Xperia Mini pro sk17i
Android Version 4.04
Build No 4.1.B.0.587
Region India
Windows OS 8
I want to install latest jelly bean custom rom,but don't know which one to install as I saw lots of roms in rom section
I am following this method
Charge phone fully
Unlock bootloader by going to Sony website or is there any other method, apart from modifying hardware??
Put the custom rom on mmc
Then install or will I have to format the phone??
Are this process right or do I need to root the phone to install custom rom??
Also i heard unlocking boot-loader removes Sony DRM keys.So if I ever want to revert to stock firmware will the DRM keys enable itself??
Also if anything goes wrong can I revert back to stock firmware or will I never be able to do that??
Any links to latest firmware, tools is highly appreciated.
Please don't say search the forum,I already did but each thread mentions different methods so I am fully confused!!!
Ps i hove i posted this in right section,if not mods please forgive me:highfive:

first of all, no you didn't post in the correct section, theres a q and a for ... well for q and a (and i recommend reading the faq by alokbina too)
yes first you have to unlock bootloader to get to jellybean.
theres mihanns guide for three methods to do it.
i think a format of your phone shuld be done as it is needed (just data/factory restore type),
you missed a step of flashing a custom kernel with flashtool
no need to root it as custom roms and kernels come prerooted (though if you are a newbie, i would advice to learn to root and with that experience start on flashing roms)
unlocking by official method removes drm keys and you will NOT get them back in anyway, so try tespoint method(see manufacturing date restriction though)
Yes youll be able to flash stock using flashtool and by downloading your stock firmware as ftf file(google)
for firware tools etc see this by predator.
aaand i've got an advice too, Please READ READ READ more, then youll automatically know more and will be able to do it.
hope it helped
Don't forget to hit thanks

There are many kernels present and each kernel has different features. some are good for battery life, some are good for performance etc. read the description of each kernel and decide. if you are flashing a custom rom, the rom developer will mention the kernels that are working with that rom in the rom thread. as I think DRM keys are not very useful. apps like TrackID use them. there are 3rd party apps that works like TrackID.
nothing will go wrong if u follow all the steps exactly.
this thread will be useful for you.

Go to settings and change usb connection mode to msc mode (mass storage) And turn usb debugging on in developer options.
then reboot to flash mode and connect.
And when you want to flash the firmware, then first select the firmware and hit okay. You will see a popup to put your phone in flashmode, then plug it in in flashmode, not before. Should work

Boot never end after installation of "Unofficial JBv6"

Hi @all, I'm new there as user but I read this forum since a lot of time.
I've installed Unofficial JellyBean V6 by devswift on my XperiaU. I was coming from cyanogen 10.1 (always by devswift) and that's what I did:
-Wipe DalvikCache/Cache/UserData/System
-Flashed the .zip and 2 other zip for themes (taken from this board jb pack v1 and v2 but not remember the author, will check later)
-Rebooted.
... and now is not working anymore. Probably I did something wrong, but the real problem is that now I can't flash a stock firmware and try again because on win8.1 flashmode seems not working. The driver are installed correctly with advanced reboot but on flashtool (from flashtool.net, the latest one) when it ask for connect the device, the green light disappear after some seconds and it doesn't get it.
Any suggestion ?
p.s. Thanks for the awesome work that any developer is doing for that device, even if is a "low price" and not a "top" in the android smartphone market.
p.p.s. Sorry for bad english and confused post, and I hope is the right section
Look for someone with a PC or laptop with windows 7 and restore your phone with flashtool! I had this problem too with a xperia J today and I couldn't restore it on windows 8.
Enviado a través de XDA móvil desde mi Sony Xperia S
Yeah I have another laptop with Windows 7 and Mint, I'll try both, but since win8.1 is better in terms of permormance compared with 7, that's a pity that I can't update to that system definatly.
Why it don't work if it say drivers are installed correctly...
Is normal that when I launch a driver check it says:
Code:
18/007/2013 11:07:01 - INFO - List of connected devices (Device Id) :

There is another way to copy a zip files in the sdcard maybe ?

Flash stock rom
Sent from my ST25i using xda app-developers app
Please read also the previous (and longer) posts before answer.
I would know why I can't flash stock roms using flashtool on win8.1. Btw I already flashed a stock using win7 and then installed again Unoff JB. Now it restart showing kernel logo every each seconds, but doesn't boot.
Sorry for double post, but after get it working I'm not satisfied about this mod. I can't change illumation (even manually) and is a bit laggy.
Could someone suggest another JB where everything works correctly, and enough stable/smooth?
Also a CM or CM based is ok, but I not find yet a CM with bluetooth and gps working...
Mhhhhh... I found no way and I came back to win7, now someone can suggest the more stable unofficial JB or a CM where GPS works?
Should I bump the thread ?
No one answer
BTW I tried many JB and I found that the best one is this --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2484443 but the GPS and Auto Brightness is not working, how can I report that to the developer, in the development thread ?

What's the question?
If you still have windows 8.1 try installing flashtool drivers as explained here or like in this post
I already said that the driver are installed succesfully, but when I connect the phone flashtool don't recognize it.
Since no one give me a suggestion I came back to win7 to "recover" the phone. The question is this (ignore the previous since no one answered and I decided my self):
