Hey guys I have been running OAT's ROM lately and have no issues what so ever. To me this has been by far the best and most stable ROM I've run yet, getting about a day and a half on battery life with light to moderate usage. My question; is there any patch to fix the audio through the headphone jack? I know on previous Gingerbread ROMs they had got it working. I don't know if this is an ICS issue but I would love to be able to connect my touch pad to an auxiliary source and enjoy my music.
Thanks in Advance
Dorian
Turn screen off then plug Aux cable in then screen on and it will work, repeat everything you need it

Broken audio? When was there ever an issue with audio? I use mine all the time to plug into stereos, and there's no special technique. I can plug it in first and then play, I can have screen on or off, etc.
Am I missing something here?
There were issues like this on CM9 which were fixed about 4 - 6 weeks ago, first with an extra patch and then built in to the nightlies. Not sure whether OaT has picked up the fix in his build.
Thank you all for your responses. He just posted an updat to his ROM addressing a few things and the audio fix... But I really appreciate all of your guys help!

Greetings,
Well I took the plunge today and cooked up a ROM with your 2.3.1 and so far everything works pretty good except for one unexpected thing. The mini-usb audio output seems to have quit working properly. With the stock ROM I just kept a mini usb to 3.5 in the car, at the house audio, and on the end of my Bose phones and could launch a player or SelectRadio and listen awaw. With the new ROM I plug in and the little speaker mutes like it should but then the sound does not come thru the socket on any of the 3 devices. I did discover by accident that if I plug in the adapter to the unit then the 3.5 into the adapter that it would play, but only until I change stations or the sound is inactive for 3 seconds exactly, then I must unplug and do it again. Just to be sure I flashed back stock ROM and it fixed it, but going forward again breaks it again. Any Ideas ??? Tips ??? Help ????? Thanks everyone or anyone.
there are a bunch of threads on this but there is a big 5 page thread in the Titan forum about it. nobody has fixed it yet...its a huge problem for me as well. so far nobody has fixed it, but i don't think dcd has tried yet.
Hello
I searched and there was nothing on this topic..
OK so here is my problem..when i Plug in my Headphones the sound is louder from one side than the other, it is not the headphones because it also does it when i plug into AUX in car.
AUX wire in car is brand new . and isnt a cheapo cost me 15 bux, and that didnt solve my issue.
This started happening after i installed the last 2 Beast mod roms that came out, this was a known issue that X knew about..
i then moved on to Bulletproof, and the issue carried over to the new rom.
I have done all the wipes i can do on recovery, and i tried super wipe that X released.
NOTHING has helped..
so please X or someone help me! i want to bump my music in my car, that is why i spent my money on a 32gb microsd card.. and i cant
it shouldnt be a hardware issue because i have never used headphones excessively, and it was a known issue in beastmod development.
HELP PLEASE

beastmod never had such "known issue". However long story short get new headphones and next time try not to speak PhD level of english...keep it simple, is better
yes it was a known issue, many of us had that bug.
I said its not my headphones, ive tried multiple ones. I have also tried multiple AUX cables in my car, even bought 15 dollar one and it didnt help. Every other device sounds fine in my car, just not my Amaze
Don't panic bro.
Sometimes foreign object happened to got into the audio output port on your phone
How about try to clean it with a dampened Q-tip with a little alcohol or something like that and see what happen
Stupid question:
Do you have a case on your phone?

Volume boost apps can cause distortion as well.

I sure hope you were joking with that one. PhD level?
Anyway...to the OP. If no other solution is found you could always resort to
adjusting the balance in an app like PowerAmp. I know it's not the solution you want but it may help in the interim.

Recently as of last night my audio jack on my phone wont work when i plug in my headphones or when i plug in my auxiliary cord from car.
It's like it doesn't recognize that i plug something into it because the audio still comes from the back of the speaker on my phone instead of transmitting through my headphones. Nothing happens at all when I plug them in.
I'm running the latest MIUI v4 release from the ported section.
All help is appreciated.
Try a q-tip and some alcohol to clean the port and use a small flashlight to see if you got a chunk of lint or something inside it.
If the port is clear, and alcohol does not help, sadly the port is borked, return to AT&T.
I'm not aware of any setting that might be off that would disable output, although I could certainly be wrong.
Did you change anything before this happened? New ROM? New Kernel, etc.
Nope. I was just using the newest MIUI with the stock kernel it has. It was working yesterday afternoon. All i did was charge it and then I noticed it stopped working after that. :/
Thanks your for help by the way

My guess would be a pin broke off inside the adapter on your phone, necessitating a warranty replacement. If alcohol did not help and you can't see anything in the hold blocking it, and music works on your phone it would appear to be a defective jack.
Miui seems to have broken headphone jacks on multiple different phones of mine, it could be a cause but I'm not sure. I just went and got mine replaced and didn't think about it.

Nook Tablet 16GB, CM10 Pure AOSP 4.1.2 JB ver 20121115.
I used CM7 by CelticWebSolutions for a long time and finally updated to CM10.
Great ROM and very happy with it.
There is no sound output from the speaker though the headphones work fine.
(This problem existed also with CM7)
I would appreciate your thoughts/feedback to test whether this is hardware/software related.
Sending the tablet to B & N is not an option as I am in India. (tablet gifted to me from USA).
Thankyou for your response.
Based on the fact that it does it with 2 different ROMs leads to a hardware issue.

Thanks for the reply.
I fear so also...
Me, sometime when I connect the headphone to my nook, and leave it for the long time with screen off. My nook can not play sound via speakers. After that, I connect the headphone again, play the sound again, take off the headphone and speakers work again

Thanks - something worth trying.
when the headphone jack is inserted, I think it mechanically switches off the speaker
will try when I return home
So i actually have two issues of concern i want to bring up in this thread, and hope there are a few who are expierencing the same issues i am so i know im not going crazy.
I would like to start by saying i am a music lover/audiophile i have over thousands of dollars of headphones and amps. Now both problems can be addressed if i purchase a usb dac but there are two reasons why i dont use portable dacs, 1) i cant use software eq when using a dac, 2) i just dont like tugging around another piece of hardware on the go.
My first issue is that from the day i bought the phone when i have any pair of headphones plugged in there is a ridiculous amount of white noise and cellular feedback that i never had on my htc one. This noise has also gotten louder over time in my left earphone. There is also always a popping noise that produces driver flex in the left earphone every time i plug them in and when im switching from app to app or navigating a handfull of apps. Driver flex is not ideal for any earphone and it can damage an earphone pretty quickly.
Second problem is as of the last couple months across all roms(stock, 4.4.4 aosp and 5.0 aosp roms) 90% of the time i plug my earphones into the port i will not have audio, i have to either open more than one audio app and start pressing play until i start to hear something from one app to the other. It started happening on lollipop roms so i thought it was only an issue native to lollipop roms until i decided to go back to a stock rom. Once i was back to stock i was able to replicate my issues. Then i went to 4.4.4 aosp rom and still the same issue.
So my questions are, Do any of you lg g3 owners experience these issues(noise, popping) and no audio output from time to time?
Have you found solutions to any or all of these issues?
Do you think they are hardware related?
I i think it is hardware related. I plan on getting a replacement phone soon to see if i can replicate my issues on a fresh new lg g3. If this is the norm for any of these issues i will be getting a different phone. Inlove the lg g3 but audio playback without issues is a big concern of mine when purchasing a phone.
