Still Shot Feature While Recording on .211? - Motorola Droid RAZR

Quick question for those of you running stock .211: I know one of the ICS aosp camera features is the ability to snap stills while recording video. Once you press the record button, the camera rotate button turns to a shutter icon that you can use to snap stills while recording. I'm currently on .215 and the feature is there but i don't recall seeing it on 211.
Could someone on .211 simply start recording a video and see if the still shutter option is there? If not, i figured I'd add it to the list of differences between the roms.

Yep just checked it and its there in my .211 built ROM

I'm using AOKP b40 and it has this feature. Funny, I never knew it existed until reading this thread. Sweet.

[Q] Touch-to-Focus while taking video?

Has anyone heard or seen any demos/reviews/preview videos of someone taking a video and re-focusing by touching the screen? Relying on only autofocus on the S2 made many unfocused videos unwatchable.
The One S has it (I played with it), as well as iPhone and the Razr.
YAY! Update:
According to the manual, touch to focus while recording video is confirmed!
5 Select [REC button] to start recording.
●● To change the focus, tap where you want to focus. To
focus on the centre of the screen, select [AF button].
●● To capture an image from the video while recording,
select [STILL SHOT button].
6 Select [REC button] to stop recording.
The video is saved automatically.

Update 2:
On another note, it looks like anti-shake is available for video, too, unless it was a copy/paste mistake from the Photo/Still Camera section of the manual.
Anti-Shake
Activate the anti-shake feature to reduce
blur caused by the device’s vibration or
movement.

On TW ROMs while taking a video? Are we talking ICS? I haven't tried taking a video on a TW ICS ROM yet.
Regarding the S2, I'm not the only one who sees this limitation:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1541019
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1471112
Anyways, I'm concerned because I know stock ICS doesn't do it, so I hope the S3's camera app finally has TOF while videoing.
I flashed to the stock ICS TW ROM and verified that touching the screen while videoing does not allow for Touch-to-Focus, either. There's nothing in the settings to allow it either. When I touch while videoing, it says "Zooming is not supported while recording Full HD Video". When not filming at 1080p, it just zooms instead of focus.
Are you using a custom ROM, 3rd party app, or modified camera.apk?
Yeah I've seen many videos where this was done, Samsung even added automatic face recognition when you take a photo and instantly sends them to all your friends in that photo.
That's all fine and dandy, but sometimes, you want to control where you want to focus. Short of an unfriendly manual focus slider, touch-to-focus is a quick way to kick the focus algorithm in gear.
Relying on the auto focus to adjust itself doesn't work well on the S2. Sometimes it tries to refocus when it's already in focus and everything becomes blurry for the next 2-3 minutes, ruining the video. Happens a lot in low-light conditions (indoor).

I'm talking about the stock camera app. I hope someone can verify if touch focus on the S3 will finally have it.

that feature is available in the stock ROM, just tap the screen while recording a video and it takes a snapshot.

I definitely wanted this feature, and I'm glad I saw this topic.
While reading your reply, I immediately double-tapped my home button to launch my camera, and I attempted your recommendation of tapping the screen while recording a video. Tapping the screen did not work, but there's a camera snap-shot/shutter button. Tapping that icon actually takes a picture while recording a video!
Thank you! I recommend putting "solved" in the topic title. ^_^
I attached a screenshot. While recording a video, simply tap the icon above the red, recording icon. The border of the screen turns green to indicate your picture was taken.

Full screen pictures

Is there anyway to take full screen pictures without using the video camera snapshots? It really annoys me when taking a picture with the camera that I see those 2 top and bottom black bars!!!
The 4.2 camera is full screen, if you don't mind the issue it has with the flash (tip: press & hold the shutter button 'til it finishes the flash + auto-focus, then release to take the picture. It'll flash again.)
There are a few features you'll "lose" (bust mode, for example) but gain the sphere and panorama modes.
(You don't really lose the 4.1 features, though, since you'll still have the old camera and gallery apps.)

Ok thanks. So the answer was no. I'll just wait till theres a better fix for the 4.2 camera.

can we get a Cyanogenmod camera? or something els?

stock camera autofocus is anoying need to press on screen.
i like the cyanogenmod camera, fast and good, so can any one sugest me a good camera replacer, looked on market but could find what i want, (have camera jb+) still no auto focus when i pres the buton to take foto...
any port of cm camera or aosp. that works?
it isn't that easy, the camera app on any android device is bound to hardware drivers and libs and framework things. but it's possible though like this one from Razr M, i don't know if it has the option you look for, try it though (just normal apk intall) http://www43.zippyshare.com/v/32432212/file.html
Noo still not. Na its a good camera.
But the auto focus is so bad on this phone. On stock camera when you pres the shot buton is does t even focus.... need to pres on screen. I loved the cm7 camera app. Pres 2sec on shot buton and it auto focus
Try "camera ics" from play store. Its supposed to be clone of stock ics camera. It focuses when you press shutter. It also takes photos while recording video so you won't lose that functionality. The photos and videos look much sharper with this app and the photos taken while taking video actually look good and sharp. Stock lg camera pics and videos look like it was taken by a vga camera if you aren't too careful

[Q][Request] CM10.1 Camera with Burst Mode

Hello All,
Have CM10.1 on my Evo 4G LTE. Noticed the camera app didnt seem to have a burst mode. After some searching i found this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746611
Tried it even though its for another phone and it worked except it didnt record audio and 1080p would not record, pressing record button didnt start record, just did nothing.
Wonder if this either exists for the 4G LTE or if someone could take the CM10.1 camera and add it. The link above had some other nice additions in the options menu if thats possible.
Thanks
Bump, I would also like to know
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 4 Beta
CM10.1 has burst mode but not in the way Sense does it by holding down the button to take multiple pictures. On CM10.1 you have to go to the camera settings and click on burst mode and then select how many you want to take when you press the capture button.

s3 aosp camera
The s3 camera link above works perfect. I have 1080p video and audio, just don't flash it. Flashing it replace your media profiles.xml and you lose working features. Just manual push the gallery2.apk to system/app and set permissions.
