I think I've bricked my neo v! - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

this was my first attempt with unlocking the bootloader and rooting
so when i rooted and boot-locked my phone successfully
then the cwm didn't mount the usb connection to my pc for me to transfer the xperia ice cream pureness rom to the phone so
i tried to unmount the sd card and transfer the .zip file to the card to flash the rom as i was trying to do so THE BATTERY FELL :crying::crying:
I instantly knew that something very wrong has happened to the phone as i have done all the wiping steps
1.Factory reset in cwm
2.wipe cache partition
3.wipe dalvik cache
4.Format /system (in mounts and storage)
5.Format /cache
6.Format /Data
The phone at the moment displays just sony with no light at all from the power button even when connecting it to wall charger
seus doesn't recognize it nor pc companion.
Is there any thing i can do

Flash oryginall firmware from Sony with flashtool..
Wysyłane z mojego MT11i za pomocą Tapatalk 2

hard to understand all things you did..
You flashed custom kernel with CWM or you used the one in system, which you installed after you root it?
Fact that you see sony logo tells me that you probably using stock kernel, and that you installed CWM after root, like whats done with CWM for locked bootloaders. Am I right?
Since you have unlocked BL, flash suggested(in pureness thread) kernel and boot into CWM, and use mount USB storage option from mounts and storage section.
Btw. why the hell did you go with wipe process until you manage to put pureness ROM zip on your card?

No I was trying to flash a custom rom not a kernel (I'm on the stock kernel )
and i successfully unlocked and rooted my phone
then i installed CWM after gaining the super user privilege
the problem is that I forgot to put the rom .zip file in the sd card as i was trying to do so the battery fell turning off the mobile

what do you mean by unlocked? boodloader unlock? if yes then do what I suggested.
and I really don't get what you are talking about battery..

I tried booting with CWM but no luck at all

Why did your phone shut down? Was it because your battery was empty?
The kernel seems OK because you see the Sony logo at start. Next that you should see is the boot animation. That's missing because you couldn't finish the rom installation.
Install seus on your PC and repair your phone. Your bootloader is unlocked so flash a kernel that comes with root and cwm.
After that install your preferred rom.

Have you even read before you replyed? You even quote part where he said that seus failed.
No wonder, he wiped entire system, seus nor PCC don't know phone it is.
2 ways, custom kernel with CWM, or flash .ftf with flashtool.

if u have unlocked bootloader,go change your kernel which have built-in CWM

What do you want me to say?
I have used seus so far only one time. But I am pretty sure he can repair his phone with it.
Even if the phone isn't recognized correct he can say seus which phone model you have and then it flashes the rom.
At the point he recognized his missing zip file he also could power off the phone. Take off the back cover, pull out the battery and sim. Then he could transfer the zip to his micro SD card via a sd card adapter.
Anyway congratulations to your now working phone.

The main idea is to restore your framework-res.apk. U can use aroma explorer if you have installed CWM from boot. If u havent, u should unlock your bootloader, there are several methods, i would suggest the unofficial through s1 tool with testpoint. Do you have a custom ROM build, or the official that came with your phone?
Take your battery off, start flashtool, put battery back in DO NOT power up.
Connect to pc when flashtool tells you holding back button.

thanks guys for replying.
but I don't want to unlock bootloader. so I flashed it completely using flash tool. And had to give-up my all app updates. Now working fine...
Install cwm this time, even if your staying on stock, so that if something like this happens again, atleast it's easier to recover without loosing data.

dont forget to wipe the phone before flash the new one
Try using flashtool and downloading generic 4.0.4, if that doesnt work use SEUS as last resource

Go to recovery mode, wipe phone completely ( cache, data, dalvik cache, battery stat if you want to ), then flash your rom. it will be fine
back to cwm again.

Thanks. I just did that. I flashed it but it came back to CWM again.
please help.
after reboot it came back to recovery ? Okay if it so. try these :
1. do as i said earlier + before flashing rom, after wiping phone , go to mounts and storage and formate /system, /data and /cache manually. then flsah rom and reboot.
if this didn't work,
2. then as the first comment on this page says, download ftf file (rom) for your device and flash it via flashtool. all instructions will be given when you'll select to flash ftf . dont worry this will work definitely.
but sorry i haven't asked you earlier, you have locked bootloader or unlocked ? because if you'r using wrong kernel which is not for the rom, you'll get bootloops.if on wrong kernel, try flashing right kernel for your device. good luck

X10 mini (E10) bootlooping after Rom flash

Hello guys,
I've got an X10mini (E10) (second hand but should not branded)
I'm actually stucked in a bootloop. It happened after I tried flashing the miniCM7 ROM with CWM.
I've tried the wipe data/factory reset frome CWM but nothing happened
I've tried the recovery option from my previous backup
Nothing
I've tried reflashing the Stock Rom (found in one of Xda-developers thread)
And I still got a bootloop (with the Sony Ericson logo)
Could anyone help me? =)

Why don't you try a repair with SEUS or PC Companion, that will get you back to original.
You said you did wipe data/factory reset, but did you wipe cache and dalvick-cache too (second one in advanced menu in CWM), because they're filled with useless junk from your old ROM, causing many errors.

I saw your thread.
I also have an x10 Mini and got stuck in a bootloop (colors swishing around on screen). I rooted, installed xrecovery - what shows up in the screen is cwm recovery v 5,0,2,8. I unlocked the boot loader, flashed this Kernel using flash tool (an older version): U20_nAa-14_2.6.29.6-nAa-14.ftf I tried to downloand nAa 11 but 14 kept coming up, so I put that in the firmware file along with the stock Kernel. I forgot to install the drivers, but the flash tool said it was successful. After disconnecting and starting the phone "Ana" words not the symbol came up and the boot loop began. Alternatively, on start up, I can get into cwm recovery. I didn't save the rom or google app zip on my sd card as I assumed I could that after flashing the Kernel, but the bootloop makes impossible
My goal is to install Android Fire 2.3.
I would really appreciate any guidance.

I don't know, apparently it worked fine when you connected it to your pc...
Maybe you could pull all your files off the sd-card to your pc, boot into cwm and format the sd-card (in mounts and storage), then reboot into the rom.
If that's all successful, put the files back on your sd-card.

Should I restore from Nanadroid. i s this necessary?

The 'Apply Update.zip' does exactly the same thing as the 'Install zip from sd-card', but the first option only works for zip-files named 'update.zip' in the root of your sd-card, the second option will let you browse the sd-card and select a zip-file with any name. The second option is the one you use to install your ROM.
Restoring from nandroid, just fills your internal phone-memory with the old stuff you had in there, it won't affect your sd-card, other than that it reads the nandroid from that sd-card.
Your sd-card needs to be formatted with the fat-filesystem to work properly, so partitioning or not makes not much of a difference, only that the available space for your stuff (music, photo's, etc.) is less because the other partitions take up space too.
If you can flash your ROM in CWM from sd-card I don't really see any problem with your sd-card.
worked like a charm. many thanks!

flash stock sony firmware via flashtool...if you dont know how, there are several tutorials in this forum
or unlock your bootloader and flash a kernel with build in recovery like vds kernel for example. than you can install the backup of iced bean via that recovery and you cant wipe that recovery
You may want to flash your phone back to stock rom if you desire..
All you need is ftf and flashtool
you can download stock rom ftf here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36177572&postcount=1
then follow tutorial how to flash it here : http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/35239

Neo V stuck rootloop, can't access anything...

hi all!
after successfully flashing and rooting my neo v i started trying these excellent roms of XDA developers.
so, with locked BL, after installing XPERIA Ultimate HD and Zelly Bean i went for a try on Ice Cream pureness v14.
i guess my mistake was that after a full wipe from CWM i installed the ROM, the neo v patch and the upgrade without any reboot but the last one.
anyway, i am stuck on a bootloop now
can't access CWM (i guess because of system format....(?))
i flashed stock rom with flashtool but still nothing
i am searching for hours to avoid posting such an embarrassing "first post" but i really can't find a solution
thanx in advance!
EDIT : Just managed to recover the phone using Sony Ericsson update service software, turning it back to 4.0.4 stock. So i am going again for root etc. I guess there should be an easier way so if anybody knows it please share.
and if any admin could fix that "rootloop" in the title....
cheers!
Yes, there is an easier way. Unlock your phone bootloader with one of two methods. I would choose testpoint method.
Just some tips: When you flash zip, always do wipe cache/data (don't wipe system like someone does), check that it is for locked bootloader, for Neo V not L or Neo etc. I never had those problems. Anyway, I don't see advantage of those ROMs on locked bootloader except of removing bloatware, which you can do by yourself.
And it is called bootloop not rootloop.

I feel like a noob again. My (rooted, bootloader unlocked, custom rom) Neo V is stucked at bootloop. I tried flashing a stock kernel and it just stucked at the Sony logo, Then I flashed a custom kernel and it only light up the screen and nothing happen. Really need help...
I was trying to flash a custom rom and it was telling me to wipe battery stat and cache in advance option

Ok, I flashed the .ftf and I was able to get into CWM, but when I go back and download the stable cm9 from Cyangenmod, It shows status 7 when flashing...
every rom I try to flash, I get status 7, I tried edit the "updater-script" and it just show installation aborted right away.
Flash kernel first and then ROM

Let me clarify this to you first,
CM doesn't work on Locked Bootloader.
So if you're having locked bootloader, there is one way to fix this:
Reflash ICS .ftf & do the whole rooting, installing CWM Recovery procedure again. Go to recovery & install the ROM with instructions stated in ROM thread.
If you have unlocked the bootloader, two ways to solve this problem:
1. Flash any other ICS kernel. Go to recovery, wipe everything except SDCard of course xD
Then power off the phone & flash kernel from CM9 zip. Install CM9.
2. If above doesn't fix the problem, reflash the ICS .ftf again. Flash CM9 kernel & install the zip usual way.
Cheers!

I have unlocked my bootloader lol. Finally I got it back to normal now. I flashed the stock ftf, then update it to a newer firmware to root it. Flash CWM, Follow the instruction on how to flash cm10 (I use cm9) and everything is fine now, but I still want to flash other custom rom...
@Gemichi
If your Bootloader unlocked, you dont need install CWM or root your phone...
What you have to do is just flash kernel which have built-in CWM.
I advice you read again how to flash kernel,I see your post you install CWM,from that I know your bootloader NOT unlocked

HELP! Sola in bootloop

Hi everybody, I've just rooted, installed CWM and flash experience v2.1 and everything worked.
Than I flashed AC!D, wiped, then flashed Cybeshot 4, wiped, then flashed cybershot 5. After that I rebooted and from that moment it is in bootloop. I've already, wiped and reflashed the ROM, but it continues to reboot and a couple of times also the AROMA installer got stuck.
I really need help. What can I do to fix it? I mean, there's no reason why it shouldn't work after the flash, right?
Wipe everything (data system etc etc) then flash some ics kernel.. Then flash official ics .54ftf... This should work:thumbup:
Flash official ics firmware using flashtool

I've got a .10.ftf and a .54.ftf kernels. I've created a zip for each other, then selected install zip form sd card in CWM, but it says installation aborted. Why? What's wrong now?

I cannot flash via flashtool because I can only work in CWM and flashtool doesn't recognize the phone in that modality.
You mean to say flashtool doesn't recognise you're mobile?? In that case.. You are missing some flashtool drivers.. You'll find them in /flashtool/drivers/ whichever folder you've installed flashtool in... After this flashtool should recognise you're device... If it doesn't then try flashing any ics kernel through cwm.. You'll find them in dev thread.. N then flash ics Rom

Remember that I can access only the CWM screen, flashtool can recognize the mobile even in CWM mode?
However, I've already tried to flash the kernel via CWM, but it says installation aborted. I've zipped .10 and .54 kernel in two different zip and renamed them kernel.10.zip and kernel.54.zip.
What's wrong?
EDIT: ok, I've been able to use flashtool. I've flashed .10 kernel, then flashed .54 kernel, then reinstalled experience ROM, wiped and restarted. It continuos to bootloop. Now I try to flash a stock ICS ROM.

Omg in order to use flash tool, just shut down ur phone, and then press the power button and the volume down button. If the led becomes green then u can succesfully use flash tool... Man, do some research first!
And also, get the ftf file by extracting the zip....

Ok, now I've wiped and flashed only MT27_6.1.1.B.1.54_KERNEL.ftf file through flashtool. Restarted the phone and it continuos to bootloop. When the phone says preparing internal storage it restart the phone.
sorry for my noobage. Now I've flashed MT27i_6.1.1.B.1.54_Global.ftf (big file) and flashtool had a problem. It says "err severity=major err code="0009"" err dynamic: block verification failed".
Now the phone continuosly shows screen with "sony".
Now what can I do? Can't even enter in CWM mode.
Ok, I've solved the problem. The last firmware I flashed was for unlocked xperia sola, this is why I had problems. Now I've resolved the softbrick thanks to a guide of doctor_droid.
Now I have to reroot and reinstall CWM, right?
Also thanks to you guys for your patience.
Yes... N after you install cwm.. Please make a back up through cwm for god sake!! happy rooting!!
Another question: the first time that the bootloop started was when I flashed cybershot and ac!d without restarting.
Do you think that the bootloop started because I haven't resarted between the two flashes?
Nothing as such.. May be conflicts between cybershot n acid files!! It's better you restart everytime you flash.. N do wipe cache partition n dalvik
Oh gosh, another funny problem. Got a problem with rooting.
I've flashed .10.tft kernel, then run "runme.bat" (from rootwithrestore) and this time says that there's "old adb" or something like that. However, I manage to conclude the process, but when I reboot I've got black screen. After that I've flashed the .54.tft file and the phone works fine, but there's no SuperSU app. So I suppose it's not rooted.
What's wrong with the runme.bat?
Yep not rooted!! Try again!!
