No. Better stay with Stock.

Those are Samsung features. Cm9 is not a Samsung ROM. So no.

New phone

I'm having trouble on deciding which phone to get. Should I purchase the galaxy s 2 or the nexus s?

I presume you meant Galaxy Nexus
Do you have a prefernce between touchwiz and google android? If you prefer the look and feel of the latter (e.g. CM9 look), go for the gnex, otherwise i'd go for the S2

The Google update alliance fizzled out a while back.

Does samsung intentionally delay 4.0.4 update?

Does samsung intentionally delay 4.0.4 update? (because they want s3 to have more softwate feature advantage maybe?)
I mean where the hell is 4.0.4? I'm pretty sure they have the update ready since s3 and s2 rom are very similiar..
Maybe. Marketing.

Have you ever wondered that they will never release 4.0.4? Just saying...
Its possible but updates always lag behind the latest Android version. Its always been the case whether a new flagship is on the horizon or not.

Yes. Purely to piss you off. It's a conspiracy.
what will 4.0.4 bring new?

Almost nothing usefull. But the OP thinks that 4.0.4 turns his phone into a rocket launcher.

Hahaha, clearly it is going to power the next space shuttle.
It may not turn any phone into rocket launcher but it is rumored that it will fix the problem of the e-mail app with the exchange servers and other problems that you might have not faced but exist Warhero141
It is fixed in WLPG, at least for me.
nothing to do with SGS3, how long did they took to launch 4.03?
this should be enough to know how long..........
4.04 brings many fixes in ICS, its the stable of all ICS yet
If Sony even released the 4.0.4 update for the low/mid-end xperia ray, and Samsung won't support/update a 1 year old high-end phone, i say shame on them!

is dual boot possible?

i was wondering if it was possible to do a dual boot on the s3? it would be cool if we could have both ics and also jellybean when it comes out.
Why? Jellybean is an enhanced ICS. They are the same thing.

idk or maybe ubuntu and jellybean? lol

Why?
For sales people like me this would be great because then I can still demo my s3 while I'm at work with out worry of them noticing that I'm not running stock, then everything else I can do a custom rom for normal use.
If we could get this working that would be fantastic...

Now when the 4.2 is on aosp, has anyone on cm-team started to port it to our device?

I doubt that we're going to get the port soon because cm 10.0 is barely 'stable'!

4.2.1 is being worked on by the Slim team at the moment, so keep your eyes peeled
Excuse me, but i can't post at original post of cm, and i want to know how i can paste or move archives in file manager please.
Thanks a lot

I doubt it'll be soon as its very difficult to build for non nexus devices due to changes in the infrastructure of 4.2 we also dont have a recovery with 4.2 support yet because without it your sd card is moved and files are lost as stated in the gnex forums

Well it's my personal view, I find stock slow. Have you tried a recent nightly?
If not stop spreading lies..

Yes I have tried recent nightlys, have you tried some latest stock roms? I agree that stock is not as fast as cm10 but I cant seem to get cm10 stutter free. It's a known issue with hwcmposer so PB isnt really functioning. ..and its not more stable then stock , you don't get random fc with gallery or whatever with stock.i love aosp and I really hope their latest breakthrough put an end to the stutter

Well, now when codeworkx has ported cm10.1 this thread is unnecessary.
Devs please close this thread.
