idle battery usage on x10 mini pro - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

THIS POST SHOULD BE DELETED, ITS NOT IT THE RIGHT FORUM
Hi, I wonder whats normal battery usage (% per hour) to expect on the x10 mini pro? Battery is manufactured in 2010 week 37, but i just bought it from a webshop.
This is my girlfriends phone and she never remembers to charge it. Right now im on MiniCM73.0.4 naa13 kernel.
I use "My Battery Drain Analyzer" and during night/idle it uses 2,5%/h.
All data and synch is off, only phone radio is on.
BetterBatteryStats shows deep sleep all the way, Cant see anyting eating battery.
Can it be the baseband/radio?
Greatful for any advice to get out of charging-hell.

Hey Magnemann, i think that your question must be publish on Xperia x10 mini pro forum, maybe other users of that forum has the same problem with this device or the same doubt =)

Nah i don't use JIT either. It is great for Quadrant, but not much else. The phone started to stutter (Ninjump and Drop game suffers from it). Restart happened only when the CPU load stays on 100% and very much activities on the background, so yeah it's unstable.
About the battery, maybe you need to try to:
1. Delete data/system/batterystats.bin
2. Fully charge the phone (recommended to do it while phone turned off)
3. Drain the battery again to the last charge available.
So hopefully it will be better next time. O yeah, if you're on .06 version, you can go to User Support in the Drawer, there is Battery Optimizer function inside there.

I have the same experience too with the supplied charger from the box. I don't know how to rectify this, but after i updated my phone to .06 i haven't experienced the issue so often (ocassionally still happened but can be operated easier than before) while charging.
Well maybe you can follow vlissine advice. but since i have not experienced it lately, i'm okay with it..

Well like i said, as for now, it does not matter me too much. I don't feel it often. Almost none exactly with my latest firmware.. So then i won't waste my time for that Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

The phone works fine with me. It's definitely usable. Just because one experiences a problem doesn't mean that everyone else does.

I dont have battery overheat. Capacitive buttons accidentally start only when I breath on em.
Plus I edited my keyboard layout so I can only unlock with power button.

thanks for your answers but i am referring to ST15i (without hardware keyboard)
but this is a global problem almost 44 members are shouting their problem at sonytalk @ http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/112523#112523
Like you, my last unit was wildfire and it wasn't charging, there's a problem with the mobo and the warranty is expired a week after it happened that's why I chose xperia mini with Adreno 205 compared to wildfire S adreno 200.
Other users are definitely having problems with the capacitive buttons namely the back and menu key. So far, I had my xperia mini for over 3 weeks now and it doesn't have that problem. Honestly, I'm worried that the problem might show. However, from the moment I had the unit, I charged it overnight and been doing it ever since. I've been playing games with it like nfs shift for more than 30mins and the battery doesn't overheat the same as with charging it overnight. Overall, it's a fairly powerful phone and can play HD games with no lag at all. The only thing I don't like about it is sometimes I struggle reading texts while using its browser.
And oh, the sound(xloud) is awesome especially while using its stock earphones.
thank you for the info ....i am going to wait until sony finds a solution to this problem
you are quiet a lucky one ...i hope you wont have any such problems with your device
Dude its the best phone ive had. Coming from galaxy s
Hi. May i know when did you guys buy your xperia mini? I'm planning to buy the phone this week then I read the problems. I'm choosing samsung fit, lg optimus net and xperia mini. obviously, xperia mini as an edge to them but because of the problems I read, I'm having second thoughts. Help!
Like I said before, I bought mine for over 3 weeks now and doesn't have any problems(hoping it would stay that way). And I'm very happy with it.
dude, it support multi-touch? ?how many finger support?

Maybe does not seems to be so bad, but it's even worse: ST15i become totally unusable, when the capacitive buttonns are going crazy.
My phone has worked just fine for more than one month, but now it works only until the temperature goes above 34-35 celsius degree. Then the capacitive buttons starts activating, and the phone does not respond to any other command untill the temperature drops below 30 degrees.

yes but not my mini ;-)
I also bought my mini september 9. And so far so good, as it doesn't give any of the capacitive buttons malfunction.
Me too bought this about 1 month ago and didn't have any problem. the only problem was LCD brightness which was flashing sometimes in medium light places. but it solved after upgrading to 2.3.4
it's a good phone with many good features and suitable price
well, can we put some geographical or Weather classification here ??
i mean hot countries having this problem, while COLDER ones not having them ???
or it's irrelevant ???

Battery

Hi all
l got a new battery. The problem is that the phone suddenly turns off when it still shows 30-35% of the battery. Is there a way to improve it or to calibrate the battery?
thx
Search the forums - you'll find how to calibrate battery - but i don't think that is your problem . Btw are you on stock ?
would recommend an apk for that
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...EwOSwiY29tLm5lbWEuYmF0dGVyeWNhbGlicmF0aW9uIl0
and if you have just flashed a ROM or so, jusst go in recovery mode, reset battery history and calibrate

Well firstly rule #1 of XDA is to use search, which you clearly haven't done or you have and haven't read topic properley. This topic has absolutely no reason to be created anymore, we already have plenty of them so users can simply read/reply to those. Also when creating topics use descriptive titles.
Where did you buy this battery (give link). Its likely that you have purchased a cheap/fake battery that is labeled as having one capacity but actually has a lower one or its just plain low quality/faulty.
Purchase genuine Samsung battery or a generic one from high quality manufacturer/seller.

I didn't ask where you bought the phone, I asked where you bought the battery. If you meant you bought battery of ebay then that is your problem, You have very likely purchased a cheap fake/faulty version so your battery meter is completely irrelevant and calibration wont make a difference (if battery is faulty/fake).

Battery Drain Issue

H guys. I have Xperia Go. I do nothing, but battery will last maybe 2 days, when my other devices with more power working much longer and I use them time to time. Maybe just bring my phone to Sony service? I have latest, original ICS update.

First of all try to Repair soft by SEUS after that make hard reset and try again. If it still drains a lot send it to Sony center.
If you search there are many threads and about saving your battery

I see numbers in Sony site, GSMArena.com and everywhere else - stand-by about 450h on 3G (I use 2G), so it's 18 days. Music play up to 45h. Give me four days stand-by and I will be happy. In any case, I just did full factory reset with Sony Update Service, turn off my phone, charged to 100% according Sony integrated ****, turn in on. After about 4-5 hours battery is 94%. If battery will be on 02-22 evening about 5-10%, I will just send phone to Sony center, because I got failure, not a small smartphone for sport. It will be good two lessons in one year - do not buy LG or Sony. My every HTC and Samsung devices are working very good.

Odp: Battery Drain Issue
You are joking right? Of course, smartphone won't be forever alive(especially not 18 days, lol). It's a small computer, powerful processor, a lot of RAM, screen, internet. Never believe for sites. You should ask somebody before buying. Your fault. Smartphones aren't just phones. They are better than old computers.

I agree, if I use smartphone. But if I use this piece of **** (I still suspect failure), I will get 4-5 hours for music and GPS We will see what will happen after factory reset, but as I said, my Optimus 4X HD working longer than Sony Xperia Go, although Go is on the table untouched, 4X HD always in the pocket with email, calls, GPS and SMSs. Oddly to me.

I'm not dumb, my work is about these things and Xperia Go is great for sport (good shape, water resistant), but if I get failure, who can I do after many factory resets? Go to Sony service.
Yeap, going to Sony center today. After 14h, 43% battery, did nothing.

You're kidding right? Did nothing?
Just the phone trying to get full network signal will spend the most amount of battery, plus what have you turned on also?
3G? Data traffic? Wireless? Bluetooth?
The companies say that x phone will last y hours in standby if it has optimal network signal (wich happens 1% of the time)
I have a SXU and use it very lightly and the battery lasts 1-2 days and it has no problem, it's normal!

Man, I used airplane mode (no 3G or 2G), no WiFi or Bluetooth either, just system in sleepy mode. I did this on purpose, of course. I think I have failure device, that's all. Today I did not have time, but I will have tomorrow, so I will go to Sony center.

[Q]Sony Xperia Neo V MT15a & Battery Problems

Hello guys, in first place good forum . Keep up the good work. Now my question. Since 2 weeks ago my cellphone Sony Xperia Neo V MT15a was experiment some problems with the battery. Some days later the battery just dead but this is the weird part: the battery inflated. Well, np I just bought another battery. 5 days ago, the same problem... Now im using a new battery for third time and its working but with problems like "slow interface", "graphics problems", "random disconnections" and I worried about it. Today I checked the battery and it's starting to inflating...
So, guys, please can somebody help me, what is the problem? I read in other forums about the board, but i'm not sure. What you think is the cause and where can I buy that replacement?
Thanks in advance.
