Anyone have a copy or know where to download it.?
Flapjaxxx rom that we discussed in the other thread is 4.04.

Agreed on using the UCLF6 Flappjaxxx rom....It is by far the smoothest, most stable 4.0.4 rom we have for the note to date...IMHO
however, if you want a pure stock, rooted, zip aligned, crt rom etc.......with only minor enhancements, you might try this one from bigfau.....
It's considered a pure stock....g

I came back here to say I found what I needed.
The FJ rom works great for most items but a few.
The GPS is ok, but still does not lock sometimes, not a show stopper.
The google-body.apk says it is not compatible, and I know it worked on ATT ICS.
Just wanted to revert back, and then go forward with FJ again, kinda concerned since he mentioned he is finished with us XDA users.

Tap the good tools FJ included in his rom.
Tap this tap, then install att gps and reboot. Lightning fast locks.
Perfect, well I have the stock plus deodexed and what ever installed now, and foxfi works, now that I have flashed several roms, I feel like pro now.
Will go back to FJ this week-end. This is more fun then watchin porn.

I've been searching and reading for the past two hours. I currently have stock Vibrant with the new J16 OTA update. I want to root my phone and install a custom rom. I see there are many ways to root, but can someone guide me to a tutorial that guides me through the best way to Rooting and flashing a custom rom? Secondly, is there a tutorial on how to get back to original factory rom for warranty?
Thank you

My $0.02, skip the FroYo ROMs for now, they are all broken to some extent. Bionix Fusion, for me anyway, is the best and most stable custom ROM available for the Vibrant. EVERYTHING works, and it is fast and rock solid!
Root Vibrant
Bionix Fusion 1.1
You can't go wrong from those links.

When it updates, yes, your mainver will update to the new one. Until then, though, you can use one of these fixes...

I don't get why people don't just use the "edit the android.text file" fix EVERYTIME they hit a mainver error??
Seems to me that is by FAR the simplest fix, ALWAYS WORKS and it takes about five seconds.
I keep an extra android.text file on my card just in case I need it.

As a relative newbie, I have a question. I have flashed a Rodgers modem, onto my ATT note. In an attempt to improve the GPS function. The note is rooted, and running Flapjaxx's latest Rom UCLF6. Now I appear to be having voice issues. If I try to re-flash another modem, how do I go about removing the Rodgers modem? And which modem works the best?
Thanks
Are you a Rogers subscriber?
No? Then UCLF6, the stock modem is best for at&t. Just get the zip file and put it in your sd card. Boot into recovery and flash it. The flash process will write over the top of the Rogers modem. Reboot, give the phone a few minutes to settle in.

if i understand once you flash another modem on top, it will do away with your last modem no need to remove old modem you had...which modem? That depends on the location.
edit: sorry ranger didn't see you posting, you slip in under my radar...LOL
I just tried something for you.
Just reflash the Flapjaxxx rom and it will overwrite your modem. You only need to wipe the cache when in recovery before you flash.
To fix your GPS issues Flapjaxxx includes a gps fix in his tools. See your settings menu:

Updated to the new liquid smooth rom and my menu and home buttons light up but don't work. I went back to an older version and all work as they should. I have tried everything I can think of. Any help would be great. It looks like an awesome ROM but with the buttons not working its aggravating.
Try redownloading the ROM. I am running the new liquid with kko x and they work fine for me. And also are u using the liquid gapps?

Try flappjaxx 2.3.1 alt kernel for the button fix. You can get it from goo.im.

The flappjaxx alt 2.3.1 kernel fixed mine. I just flashed all three at the same boot and it worked. ROM,gapps and then the kernel.
Thanks guys.
didnt really know where to put my experience's
but my home/menu button had been working fine, I flashed a rom synced with 10/22 CM/AOSP and they stopped working...
Flashed the alt-kernel and now they work fine....
I have no clue what happened, the only changes I made where going to TWRP from CWM v5, then my usual superwipe, then fresh flashing the 10/22 rom...
So my thought is this could happen to anyone! :/
Hi, i've just installed a custom rom to my Galaxy s2 and everything went ok. But the only issue i've got is that my lockscreen isn't showing some buttons like SMS, Contacts and that kind of stuff.

Are you using the lastest one 4.2.1? If so not many features have been implemented yet, go back to 4.1 as it is much more stable and has lots of feautures.

Lockscreen shortcuts are not yet implemented in 4.2.1. If you really need these shortcuts you can revert back to 4.1.2, latest version being V3.2. Hope this helps.
