ICS Ringtones? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Themes and Apps

It appears that Samsung is using a different set of ringtones in their stock ROM than I have grown accustomed to with the custom ROMs that come out here. Can anyone extract them b/c these ringtones are pretty lame!

If you've already downloaded one of those ROMs just copy them out of the zip file.

CRT Animations

Where can I get the stock and custom CRT animations?
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA Premium
Almost all custom rom have the crt screen off animation. Try custom rom

I meant the flashable zip files. I have a ROM with a CRT I don't like

I want to put the stock CRT on my current ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327237

Since his roms are built from 3 different phones flashing anything we help you find is only going to get you stuck at the lock screen (if that) I suggest asking the Dev to make a different one and not flashing what you find here
ProTip: dont flash custom lock rings that he doesn't post in his thread otherwise you'll need to nandroid or a new flash

CM9 Boot animation for Note *Now CWM Flashable* (works on GB and ICS see 1st post)

I Resized the new cm9 boot animation to fit the note. Looks awwsome. Cant wait for it to hit the note but until then enjoy this kick butt ba. You must have custom kernel installed that allows boot animation change. Check development threads to find these kernels.

Zip is now CWM Flashable!

Can we flash that or what?

Rename it sanim.zip and place it in system/media or use absolute system from the app market.

Nice!!!! Thanks!!!
I'm assuming you forgot to mention this only works on GB, not ics
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Sorry thats correct. I know theres no kernel out for ics that allows boot animation changes. Thanks for pointing that out for those who didnt know.

Renamed it to sanim.zip, added it to system/media, rebooted and nothing. Still stock bootscreen.
Fyi, I'm rooted and stock GB.

did your move the original one after you placed your new one there Ive got it working and it looks great
just a AFAIK
I remember noticing that on "the unofficial (GB)" the file sanim.zip actually linked to a file called bootanim.zip (or close, you can check by doing a properties on sanim.zip with root explorer) Anyway I had been just renaming my animations to that, putting them in the /system/media folder and not messing with sanim.zip
I think that's called a symbolic link or something?

You have to flash kernel that allows the boot animation change using sanim.zip. Check out dagr8s in development section

I renamed the original to a .bak file and left it in system/media. Still no go renaming new one to bootanim.zip
Is the kernel needed for GB?
Btw, yes I set the permissions.

I'm now on UCLE2- via Flappjaxxx Rom, I removed the 2 bootsamsung files within system/media and placed the CM9 zip (renamed to bootanimation.zip) and now get a blank (all black) bootanimation, I flashed your zip w/ my fingers crossed but still to no avail... If anybody has the 2 bootsamsung files I will gladly be happy with the animation that comes w/ the UCLE2 build.. Thanks
Esco...
I dont believe that build is compatible. It uses stock kernel. If no one beats me to it I'll upload the Samsung files for you in an hour or two when I get back to my shop

Or just clear cache clear dalvik and reflash rom. That should do it

Gotcha, thanks, I've been debating doing a reflash, I just have this puppy running so smooth @ this point I think the two files would be more feasible, but I'm on brink of reflashing.. I'll hold on for a bit longer..
Edit:
Just reflashed... Pure Bliss now w/ UCLE2!!!!!!!
Or you guys could install the cm9 in the dev section

Try to search the cm thread for the gapps. Most roms have them integrated into the zip though.

[Q] Cleanrom lidroid setting

Anyone know how to get the lidroid apk and toggles from Cleanrom ace on to Cleanrom Verizon lovers. I like the Verizon lovers but would like to have all the toggles available in the ACE edidtion..
If you are familiar with ROM building, it should be a simple transfer of system apps and permissions.

Im kinda a noob at this. Rom building isn't my strong suit. Yet!
There are plenty of guides about custom ROM building but the best way is to download CM10 copy it to your desktop and open it up with win rar and just look inside it. That's primary how I learned

That's a good idea I think I just might give it a try got nothing to loose..
As long as you back up and don't touch boot.img or the kernel, you should be good.

GApps required for Note 2

So I'm not entirely sure there is a thread already on this and apologize if there is, but I'm not seeing an additional file to download when installing custom ROMs which I'm accustomed to with the Galaxy Nexus. Are the GApps baked into the ROMs? Thanks. Or is it because there aren't any (or many I should say) AOSP ROMs?

Yep. Also they are already included in the TW based so do not flash another one when using these.

Also when flashing Gapps make sure you flash the most recent version.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Right on. I figured they were baked in with the TW roms. Especially since the size is so big.
