BackTrack is a distro based on the Debian GNU/Linux distribution aimed at digital forensics and penetration testing (Hacking)
If you've never heard of it watch this vid http://www.backtrack-linux.org/
Theres an arm version available on the website. The file extracts to around 5 gig and wouldn't fit on a fat 32 sd card
But now I have nAa-ics-04 kernel (that supports ext3/4) backtrack on the pro has become a possibility once more.
and....... heres a thread on Multiboot / Boot From SdCard
however im not sure if the x10 mini / mini pro can cope with such a large os
would anybody els be interested in this project? Team work makes the dream work
It works on x8, so it should work on x10 mini / mini pro. Though, not enough SD storage space for me.
forget..... small display

Hello fellow XDA-ers
I was looking around on the internet, and I found this:

Pantech's SMP-301 "SKY the Player"
A relatively unknown PMP, that never made it past Korea, made by Pantech. Based on that site, the player comes with 32 GB Internal Memory, a 3.7" 480x800 AMOLED display, and from small research, I hear it's capable of 1080p video playback without conversion.
There's one thing which I feel is a let down to this device though, and it's got Android 2.1 Eclair on it, and I have tried to look for developments for this device and found none.
My question is this, do any of you know of android developments for this device, if not, based on experience and perhaps knowledge, how difficult would it be to port a Gingerbread, if not ICS Build on the device? I'm thinking a good starting point would be to work from other developments on Pantech devices already.
Thoughts guys? :O
Hello community,
I wanted to know if it is possible to convert this whole firmware:

Into a single .img or .ius file to be able to burn an SD Card for manual factory resetting a tablet with a Elink_MR706_D3V6 board. I know you can create a template with IUW but I don't know about commands, codes, memory addresses and that stuff.
I bricked a Quo Blaze 3G tablet, which is based on a elink_MR_706_D3_V6 board with a MT8312 CPU (A9 @1.2GHZ Dual Core), Kingston DDR3 RAM 1GB, Dual Sim (3G - GSM), front/back camera (0.5 MP - 2 MP) and Android 4.2.
The tablet is completely dead, it won't be recognized by the computer, you can't charge it. I checked the current battery power and it is still charged (2.93 v / 3.7 v) so I can make a miracle happen with a compatible sdcard-burnable firmware.
Thanks in advance!

Major Kernel error found... Need time to fix it
The goal behind this project is to make a Cheap and Fast computer for Android Developers in hopes of inspiring more ROM development. I really need help to make this a reality my goal is to make at a Pi based desktop (maybe down the road a laptop). My idea is to have a 3D printed case and the pie preinstalled with the latest version of DevBerryPi.
IT IS NOT MY FAULT IF THIS BREAKS YOUR PIE(S)!
Nice to see this development!
Excited to see this, did you ever get time to fix the error you discovered?
I'm also interested. Any updates? Will there be images for both the RPi and RPi2?
Thanks
You can develop on the PI depending on the OS but hardware limitations will never allow you to make it "fast"
I recently purchased an iPhone 6S clone while in a small dusty market in Myanmar (Burma) near the border with China.
I'm a total Android noob but overall fairly techy. The device runs slow & constantly says it's running out of space.
It claims to have "iOS 9.3 (13E234)" installed but we all know that ain't true. So after installing CPU-Z i found the below details:
model: NGAJ2CH/A
build: ALPS.jb3.mp.v1
kernel: armv7l
I have successfully rooted with KingOfRoot.
Now, what do I need to do to get this fake iOS off & a clean Android install onboard?
BONUS! call me crazy, but is there a way to check for and/or wipe any possibility of hardware-based keyloggers?
Full screenshots of CPU-Z's analysis are attached below:

HUGE THANKS WITH ANY HELP YOU CAN PROVIDE!
(i am on a Macbook so any tools that are needed, i hope Mac apps exist!)
I have found this link with a ROM but i'm sure what to do with it...
help?

What is your issue? Problem with installing Magisk? Don't speak in fragments.

what was tested with Xperia L3?
BTW: Latest Magisk is v26.1
AFAIK the 4 years old entry-level Xperia L3 can be expanded by up to 512 GB with a microSD card, it is powered by a Mediatek 6762 octa-core processor with a clock rate of 2.0 GHz and has 3 GB of RAM, it runs Android 8.1.
