Pure ICS ROM 7.5 -> 7.6 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I have the S2 GT9100 running Spike's PURE ICS ROM 7.5 ... what I'm basically asking is, could I just download the new PURE ICS ROM 7.6, copy it to my SD memory, and flash it through CWM, without the need to wipe any data, pre-root the device, install new kernels etc...?
Thanks much...
//M

Yes you can but its recommended to make backup using titanium backup apps or nandroid backup
Then flash
And full wipe then will be better
You should ask in the Q &A field not in the android development
Or in the rom theard
If I helped press the thanks button
Sent from my GALAXY S2 using SALMAN ROM last version 4.2

1. Backup all your apps via Titanium or any other app on your external SD.
2. Place your rom in your external SD
3. Reboot into CWM and wipe data / cache and dalvik.
4. Install ROM from SD and you are good to go!
OPTIONALLY: In case you want additional peace of mind you can flash the stock XXUFME3 via Odin and flash CWM

Thank and will the binary counter be increased once we flash custom rom? Or if not, any circumstances will be the binary be increased?
Your counter will increase if you flash the 4.2.2 leak. But status will remain official. The counter can be reset if you want to claim warranty etc
Nokia 2110-->Sony Ericsson k750i -->Nokia 5233 --> Samsung Galaxy R(GT-i9103)--> Samsung Galaxy S3

So flashing this rom Purelook HD v0.1.2 will not increase binary counter? Or is this a custom rom build by leak 4.2.2 firmware as I saw it on the thread subject?
Flashing anything via cwm will not increase your binary counter.

1) Root your phone... use eRoot. It's simple, guaranteed and safe. (hint=google for eroot download)
2) Install Clockwork Mod Recovery. There's a lot of tutorials here on xda...
3) Restart your phone in recovery mode and do the backup...
Option: You can use MTKDroidTools to do the backup... just click in the tab "Backup Options" and clik in Backup. Select all options and click OK. BUT CWM is more safe...

Make sure you have root and a custom recovery(like twrp) and take a backup(make sure you have a efs backup)
And before flashing do a wipe
Check android development u can find whatever you want

[Q] From stock 4.1.2 to xosp

I'm new to s2's modding, i'm currently on last stock 4.1.2 rom and i want to install the latest stable version xosp rom.
In addition to this what do i need to download? And also which are the best settings of internal system (like cpu, partition, ecc)?
P.S. I nedd guides to root and install the right twrp.

[Gapps] can i flash gapps on my fresh stock rom? Everything is stock

Alcatel pop c9
Rooted
Stock ROM
Stock firmware
Jelly Bean 4.2
Planning to flash gapps nano to delete unnecessary google built in apps. Is that possible and safe?
Since your phone is rooted you can remove built-in app, Remember Dont delete Essential app. You might end up in boot-loop.
