Hello! I am new here. I'd like to flash a ROM. I have TWRP. What lollipop-like ROM or something with many personalize settings(except Cyanogenmod) can you suggest me?

Make sure you have root and a custom recovery(like twrp) and take a backup(make sure you have a efs backup)
And before flashing do a wipe
Check android development u can find whatever you want

Hey what's up guys I need your help please.
I modified the latest rom by LiquidSmooth(and it's a KitKat Unofficial ROM for the i9300, no bugs), and I didn't have a computer at the time I was making it, so I modified and did it all through my phone. So what I am asking is, is there any way I can take that ROM I modified and make I flashable ROM out of it, so I can upload it and people can flash it to their own phones?

Hello gentlemen, I have Galaxy S3 and I have there stock rom from samsung android version 4.3 (specifically i9300XXUGNA8) and I would like to try a MIUI rom. However I find guide only with downgrade on stock rom version I9300XXDLJ4 which is android 4.1.1. But I know that it used old EFS file version 1 and in my rom is EFS v2. So if I downgrade it, the telephone was not work - especially signal from operator. Does anyone have any advice or some guidance on how the stock Samsung rom to MIUI. Thanks for the advice. (and sorry for my english)

I've used the MIUI rom for s3, and trust me, it's really good. The only downside is that you have to downgrade to android version 4.2.2 which is CM based. The latest version is based on 4.2.2, not 4.1.1
You have to do this:
1) Root your s3 following a proper guide. There are plenty on the net. Just google it.
2) Install a custom recovery. I recommend TWRP or Philz Touch recovery.
3) Download the MIUI rom from their official website en.miui.com
4) Flash the rom using the recovery.

A friend has a Samsung Galaxy S III (I9300). He would like to change ROM, now he's on latest firmware (4.3 if I remember right).
He like Android Lollipop based ROMs, but if there are other ROMs (KitKat for example) that are best we'll install it.
I don't know how to flash a kernel, a recovery and a ROM on Samsung phone (I have a Sony).
So please can you tell a good ROM smooth and stable for this phone? And also can you tell me how to flash it (noob guide because I don't know Samsung phones).
We don't want to try all ROM (I'm impressed, there are very many ).

Here you will learn everything about flashing a custom ROM on a Samsung Galaxy S III I9300.
To choose your ROM, you can first of all decide if you want a Samsung-based or an AOSP-based ROM.
Another thing not mandatory but positive is to see that people are still using a ROM, so look in the I9300 Android Development and Original Development forums for active [ROM] threads.
Once you’ve chosen the one you want, be sure to read its thread carefully before flashing it.

I'm currently using the PhilZ Touch recovery on my I9300, unfortunately I'm experiencing some random problems, so I would like to flash a new recovery. Can somebody recommend me a good, supported custom recovery for Galaxy S3? I use Android 5.1 ROMs if it changes anything.

I don't know if these threads are allowed (since ROM discussion isn't) but TWRP is love <3
CWM or TWRP. CWM is not supported anymore. TWRP is easy to use and in my opinion stable. I use it too. Don't want something other.
1 annotation: there's no developer atm, so we've to use the last official 2.8.6.1 or @Naveed Abbas' builds, fe from here.
But it's for sure the most recommendable recovery.

Hi all. My device is Samsung Galaxy s2 and I use [ROM][5.1.1] [DIRTY-UNICORNS v9.7] [Dirty Deeds] [OC/TRIM] based on AOSP 5.1.1 (TWRP recovery), I made an advance over TWRP. I want to try the ROM on based CM. What is the procedure if I want to go back to the ROM based on AOSP, because the backup is created through TWRP Recovery and Recovery on based CM does not find a backup created on based TWRP, so I can not restore the original ROM. Thank you for any advice and assistance.
Most TWRP recoveries support flashing CM roms. You shouldn't need to switch unless the dev specifically states it's necessary. If it is, and you want to restore the TWRP backup, you'll just need to install TWRP by itself again through Odin or a recovery zip, if one is available for your phone.
