Hi everybody!
I have an HTC Touch Pro from Bell and for some reason it has stopped notifying me by sound or vibrate that i have recieved an email. Text messages work, alerts of meetings work, everything works except mail.
I also do not get an icon in the top bar telling me there is a new email alert.
I have one account set up, but it is not set up as the "Outlook E-mail" account.
All notification settings are set as on.
I'm stumped. I also checked all the "tweak" apps i have in stalled and none of them have a feature to turn of mail notification.
If you have any ideas I would love to hear from you! PLEASE!!! It's driving me batty!!!
Solved

Navigate to HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\A877D65A
Quoting from XDA now:
The values in these keys will determine what options are available (AvailableOptions) and which options are selected (Options).
The values relate to the following (in the order on the Notifications tab):
1 = Play Sound
16 = Repeat
8 = Display message on screen
4 = Flash light for ...
2 = Vibrate
Add the numbers of the notifications you desire. So if you wanted all of them selected you would put 31 in the Options key. If you only wanted a message and vibrate you would put 10.
Next step.
AvailableOptions determine which boxes are available and which are grayed out. (we will leave out Repeat until later). Options determines which are selected, and yes you can select something in Options that is not selected in AvailableOptions, it will appear as a grayed out check box that is selected.
So if AvailableOptions is set to 10 only the Display message on screen and Vibrate check boxes will be available, the rest will be grayed out. If the Options value is 14, the Play Sound will be grayed out, unselected; the Display message will be available and selected; the Flash light will be grayed out, but selected and 5 min (Duration key = 5); Vibrate will be available and selected.
So set the options you want to select and unselect using the Available Options key and use the Options key to specify which are selected. Changing the selection in the Notifications tab will change the value of the Options key, but will not change the AvailableOpions key.
The only values accepted for either are 1-15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31
Is is because you can't have Repeat (16) without Play sound (1), that's why there are numbers missing. I tested putting 16 in AvailableOptions and 31 in Options and all boxes were selected, but grayed out.

Alarm bugfix
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications]
"MuteSoundOnClose"=dword:0
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications]
"AlertInterrupt"=dword:0
Another option is a customised tone made from original but looped for say 4 minutes & save in WAV format, not as elegant as registry fix !
I mainly use an old version of G-alarm as like its settings & faultless performance & integration into Windows standard alarms.

Thx for your help Mister B
But I d'nt understand what is " clack & alarm " (software ?) and " CPL " (courant porteur ligne in French : connect 2 box via 110/220V).
To make it simple : I must just modify registry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{15F1 1F90-8A5F-454c-89FC-BA9B7AAB0CAD}
Delete or set the DWORD: AvailableOptions = 0
Create the DWORD: Options
Set the DWORD: Options = 1073741841
Reboot
to have Play Sound + Repeat endless (1073741841) ringing alarm ?
Only do this ? , not install any other software ( clack & alarm ) ?
Tell me and after I do this
Thx , Sko

Clock & Alarm is the default Windows alarm found in Settings Control Panel (CPL)
When you go to alarm via this route you should see an option for repeat that may or may not resolve your problem.
If it does not resolve problem try adding registry as in your reply & see if you get result you are after. the new settings for alarm notifications will be found in Sounds & notifications Control Panel .
I do it and NOT WORK .....
By defaut , at this location I have :
Default = Rappels
AvailableOptions = 15
Options = 5
Duration = 5
Wave = \Windows\Alert-Solft.wma
I delete AvailableOptions= 15, put Options= 1073741841 , Reboot HTC HD2 , not work : play only 3 time sound
I try Duration= 0 , same , I delete Duration , same ..... play only 3 time sound
I THINK YOUR LOCATION IS BAD :
Defaut= Rappel (Reminber) and Wave = Alert-Solft.wma NOT SNOOZE like clock alarm : SO, THIS LOCATION IS BAD,
this location is for Reminber , NOT CLOCK ALARM !!!!!!!!!!
Only other registry I see linked to alarm is:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>ControlPanel>Sounds>Clock
On WM6 we could add an extra String Value here to create looping alarm clock.
go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER>ControlPanel>Sounds>Clock
Right click: New>String Value
Enter Value Name: Script
Enter Value Data (for no vibrate): apr
or
Value Data (with vibrate): av0pr
If you want to add a delay between each ring add 'w(delay)' before the r(repeat), for example: av0pw3r would have a vibrating alarm with a 3 second wait before looping the ringtone
Delete the 'Script' value to revert back to the normal alarm ring.
You can look into this but I don't think it works on later WM6.1 onward builds.
If no good only option is custom longer alarm sound files unless can find some way of customising the repeat count beyond current 3x repeat :-/ I will update post if find anything that seems relevant ...
do this, D'NT WORK ...
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>ControlPanel>Sounds>Clock
String Value
Enter Value Name: Script
Enter Value Data : apr
Always play sound Alarm-Snooze.wma 3 time and stop after ......
The guy at Microsoft that do this Alarm is really an idiot : just ring 3 time !!!!!!!!
Yes not a smart setup & not easy work around on some later wm6.x builds.
making the ring tone custom with extended length could for example make it ring for 15 minutes if ring file has a run time of 5 minutes.
Would be ideal to find a hack for the amount of repeats but I not see one & most people went to other alarm options so work on WM alarm got a bit thin ...
I search Alarm-Snooze.wma in registry (I use it for sound alarm) and find it at this location :
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Clock\0 and 1 and 2
3 directory for 3 alarm in HD2. But I d'nt find a key for longer.
There is Len_AlarmSnd = 12. Perhaps is Lenght_AlarmSound ?.I try to put 0 but after each power Off,
I have always 12 for this key .... So .....
I think the Len_AlarmSnd & Len_AlarmText relate to character count of displayed name of alarm & sound.
AlarmOneTime key looks more interesting !!!

Mister B " I have WM6.5.5 NRG & works for me, have repeat option if do alarm via clack & alarm from settings CPL ",
u have really repeat option, never never repeat me and I do all yours tips ..... ???
If anyone still searching for an answer (i sure was) and you have wm65, you can check AutoSnoozeMins at
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\Reminders\AutoSnooze\AutoSnoozeMins
it's default value is 2
which means that reminder will be snoozed after 2 minutes.
And
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\Sounds\Repeat
it's default value is 0
And it means that sound will be repeated.
Could someone please tell me the Defaults under the Settings in Field Test, specifically Toggle ENS, Toggle CMAS
Newbie mistake but the darn Touch Screen is so awesomely sensitive.
I fear I Toggled either the ENS or the CMAS ... Should they be On or Off?
And are there any tell tale signs as to which way they are set before and after a reboot?
I have not done anything besides exit back to home screen (did not do a reboot)
I currently have Polling = 3, Network = automatic, Limit SMS = Off, Toggle ENS= On, Toggle CMAS = Off
Also is there an FYI for what these actually do.
The first 2 are self explanatory but curious to what the other 3 are and the repercussions of Toggling them
Thanks!
P.S. I did find the meaning of CMAS RMT (Commercial Mobile Alert System)
So does this give the "Emergency Alert" setting under Messaging gain an Off option if toggled On?
(presently you have the Default: all alerts as well as Presidential Only, Presidential and Extreme alerts)
Correct
As far as I can see in my Lumia 1020, the current settings that you have are the default one.
Please help I am a new member here, I need the code blocks for
Hello guys I am a newbie here and also in android programming, I am using Sketchware app to build my first app,
This is my project. it's only a try to make my own app (even similar app is available).
My app is to perform functions like:
1) show the current battery percentage (Save the current battery percentage value in a number variable p
(range 1-100))
2) Read minimum value and maximum value in edittext1 & edittext2 respectively
(Don't know how to convert it into a number variable)
Read a minimum value (as a number) (range1-35)
Set two buttons
1 ) to set alarm
2) to stop alarm
Remainder need to be work as follows as possible:
When the user opens the app
1)The current battery percentage is showned (variable p)
2) the user sets two values as min and Max (say 20 as min
& 80 as max)
3 ) user set the alarm by clicking the 'set alarm button'
(Toast messege:" alarm set successfully")
NB:-AND CLOSE The app and CLEAR the app from RECENT APPS LIST
ACTION:
When the percentage p
Is getting down and reaches 20 : the app should popup & the phone should make a sound with a message ( "please charge the phone" ).
Then we plugged it in charging
After some time the percentage p
Is reaches 80 : the app should popup & the phone should make a sound with a message ( "please STOP charging the phone" ).
When both this happens user can disable the notification remainder by the second button to stop alarm.
This is a request please don't kill me with huge jargons
My app's name is. Battery remainder
Ever since I updated Android version to 11 (and the ColorOS), I have noticed the new notifications (icons) aren't visible at all the places.
- Always on Display = Visible
- Lock Screen = Not visible
- Notification bar = Not visible
- Expanded notification panel = Visible
I've contacted Oppo Support on Twitter but even they couldn't recognise and resolve the issue. Hence I have to put in additional effort (sometimes even opening the apps) to check for any new notifications .
