With the recent leaks about the Galaxy Nexus being delayed, I have thought about purchasing the Rezound. What are your guys initial opinions on it? Do you regret purchasing it? What is your main gripe? Also, does the device have a locked bootloader?

Yes. I would highly recommend it. The only thing the GNex has that this doesn't is instant root, and NFC. We will get S-Off soon, and then can flash ICS roms, and to be honest, how much do you really see yourself using NFC? I got mine on launch and love it. My only gripe is VZW's 4G is down right now (Nationwide Outage). I constantly get 42Mb/s download speed on it. But in the end, it all comes down to what you like the most. AOSP, or Sense. Samsung, or HTC. I personally love Sense, and many of the devs from the original Incredible came here also, so it was a no brainer.
Rezound has a better screen. It's so clean and clear, it is amazing.
I love this phone, but then I have nothing to compare it to never having used a smartphone before. I researched for the last 8 months, constantly changing which phone I was going to buy (incredible, tbolt, evo 3d, sgs2..) and I'm glad I got this one.
I love sense so HTC is a plus for me.
Poke around the forum and check all the threads. Loads of comments all over the place.
verizon g nex won't have NFC actually(at least not stock).
both phones are comperable, just that the GN does not have microSD support but it does have a slightly bigger screen.
additionally, Rezound has a better camera & of course its biggest selling point.... "Beats By Dre". w0rd

really??? There have been many threads started already on this topic. Walk your lazy ass down to the verizon store when the nexus gets released (if ever) and play with both of them. We know nothing about you and your needs.
Rezound is the hands down winner. The Dev's who got their hands on it, coupled with reports of the bloat, lack of Google Wallet for Isis, etc have made me turn my head further from even considering the Nexus a viable option even as a warranty replacement device if the option ever arose. I would kick the CSR through the phone if that happened.

Thought this question seemed familiar . Honestly in the end it would be best for you to just try them out both and see what you like. I'm happy with the Rezound it's hands down the smoothest phone I've used. Even with all bloat and stock launcher, I've recenly debloated and de-sensed and have like 500 MB of RAM free upon reboot or when I end apps w/ go launcher. Couldn't be happier with this phones performance, build quality, and most importantly the call quality. I've never been impressed with any Sammy phones for call quality or build quality, cheap plastic and tinny sounds.
I have had my Rezound since launch and have to say its an extremely nice phone. I am in the lucky position to be able to have a Rezound and also be able to get the GNex when it comes out. But without it being in my hands I would say the Rezound is by far the king of the Android phones for now. On the plus side: First, 16GB built-in and a 16GB micro SD card which is expandable to 32 for a grand total of 48GB. Second, best screen out and is better than the GNex. Third, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor (also at the top of the market). I could go on but you get the point. The plus side of the GNex is that it is Google's "phone". Google likes to save all of their newest/best technology for the Nexus line. So that basically guarantees updates and most of all a development community. I am definitely excited for the GNex but the Rezound is definitely a solid phone that will not disappoint.

Hey chief, I would love to be able to compare them in person, BUT as you stated the Nexus isn't out and I would like to get an idea now. I guess I am not able to ask for a general idea of what the phone is like compared to the Nexus. Silly me.

how are we supposed to compare??? We don't have the nexus either. How about asking people who have tested both devices? Like Android central, engadget, the verge.
Though all will say the galaxy nexus is superior based on it being vanilla android.
Nexus lacks expandable storage, has a lower camera and less ppi on the screen. I don't like samsung products, so it has to blow away a htc phone for me to get it. My rezound has 46gb of storage, and is here now.
Yeah, expandable storage. It's even more than advertised. I saw a post in accessories where someone put in a 64gb card and the Rezound formatted it and it's working. So 80gb total. Pretty sweet.
See the multi-quote button? It is usable you know?
I wouldn't recommended the Rezound until the bootloader has been unlocked. Clearly it will have to be unofficial since Verizon decided to cockblock the official unlocking.
I got the Rezound shortly after it came out and will be exchanging it for the Galaxy Nexus when it arrives. The Rezound is good (much better than my aging Nexus One) but I don't care for HTC Sense and want a Google Experience phone. Not a fan of the Rezound's locked bootloader either. As for Google Wallet on the Nexus, it will likely work after rooting. See: http://gigaom.com/mobile/galaxy-nexus-and-google-wallet-my-first-nfc-purchase/
I went from the Blackberry Bold 9700 -> OG Evo -> Evo 3D -> Rezound. To give you my history. My girlfriend has a Captivate (the retarded cousin of the SGS line). I've used all of these extensively.
Obviously the Rezound is the best one. I honestly wasn't expecting a huge difference in performance between the Rezound and E3D, I wasn't sure that the extra .3ghz/core would make up for the pixel count difference. I was, however, pleasantly surprised. Again, obviously, best performance I've seen out of a phone. If you don't like Sense then use a different launcher. Yeah it's heavier on resources but I have yet to use a single app, play a single game, etc. and notice any lag whatsoever. This is, serisously, not an exaggeration.
On the other hand, I currently have Team Hacksung's alpha ICS port on my girlfriend's captivate (build 7.1) and it is gorgeous and snappy. Surprisingly snappy. Not that I am at all jealous of her hardware, but I now seriously want ICS on my Rezound. And my Touchpad. However, I am willing to wait.
All it comes down to, in my opinion, are these three things: Do you like Samoled more than SuperLCD? Do you like Samsung phones in general? (If you've used one you know what I'm talking about - thin and light, yes, but to the point of feeling like a happy meal toy). Can you wait a few weeks/maybe months for s-off/a good ICS port for Rezound?
And, beyond that, which feels better to you in general? Wait until the Nex hits the store and go pick one up. The one that feels better in your hand and that you like looking at more is the one for you.
Also, check out the Rezound's camera software. The HDR backlight mode and low light mode are killer.
Them's my thoughts, anyway.

That's pretty much what they're saying for the Nexus that it's "superior" because of ICS. Imo the hardware on the Nexus isn't as high quality as it could be. Pentile matrix for the amoled screen, plastic casing, sub par camera, external speaker lacking in volume. In the end it's personal preference.

No problem. I hope it gives you the additional insight you seek to make your final decision.
I love my Rezound, I consider it the best phone/smartphone I have ever owned, and I am 45 and have owned a helluva lot of phones.
Am I a bit disappointed by no S-off yet? Not really, it will happen one day. I've been keeping busy rooting other phones lol. I rooted my wifes Thunderbolt and installed 5hift AOSP for her yesterday. Today I rooted my father in laws new HTC DInc2, and installed CM7 for him. His phone was a bit more work as I had to downgrade GB 2.3.4 to 2.3.3, and had to downgrade the hboot also.
Is the Galaxy Nexus a great phone? No, not in my opinion. I have never liked Samsung phones. They feel cheap, and their SAMOLED screens have always looked cartoonish to me.
I'll stand by my Rezound, root/s-off or not . The Rezound does so many things so well. I really can't find anything I don't like about my Rezound!

Hi, I have dilemma, the time has come to buy new smartphone
I know this question was considered many times but let me describe my point of view.
My adventure with smartphones started with Nokia N82 and now I have HTC Desire Z. I was really happy having Desire Z and HTC made a real impression on me. Now I am considering to buy HTC Sensation or Galaxy S2. I really liked dev support for HTC and Cyanogenmod ROM and also other ones. I didn't use stock ROM. I am reading about many positives for SGS2 like display, camera, RAM and cons like Touchwiz, display resolution.
I would prefer to choose HTC maybe beacuse I know their product, I didn't have any samsung before.
My preferences:
For me the most important is performence, customization possibilities and dev support. I don't care about outside but only what is inside. I like sometimes to grab a picture or record a movie. For sure I am using the phone for multimedia: playing, web browsing and waching films. It would be nice if some newer games could be played smoothly. And I was really impressed by HTC custom ROMs (especially CM7).
Could you give me any view for situation repsecting my preferences? I wouldn't like to miss HTC and would like to have sure I will be satisifed if choose SGS2 (it said better performance/hardware).
I hope you understand my uncertainties.

I have got the SGS2 and will be going for a HTC or Nexus next time as the devs seen to have more freedom with htc and definlty Nexus. Also if rumors are true then smartphone compinies like samsung, sony e.t.c are going to be making their phones harder to root and more closed except for googles own phone range.
Thanks for your reply. Can you tell me what is your feeling and comments about SGS2? Did you have before any HTC smarthphone?
It is a powerful phone, but no more powerful than the HTC sensation XE. The s2 fells like it could break at any moment, it would be broken by now if my wife owned it. The camera is ok, their are a lot of custom roms for the galaxy s2 as it is a popular phone, although. I do like my phone, but next time try nexus. I have has a HTC desire before and they are very solid phones.

Hmmm to be honest, both Sensation and Sensation XE have the same type of processor and also the same amount of RAM, the only difference which I have noticed in specs is clock value 1.2 MHz and 1.5 MHz but 1.2 can be overclocked to 1.5 MHz. In that case SGS2 is winning by 1GB RAM. Hmmm hard choice.
How can comment below
For SGS2 in comparision to HTC Sensation I get known:
- SGS2 salmoled display better than LCD but worse resolution
- SGS2 1 GB RAM, for HTC left 200MB RAM free on stock ROM
- SGS2 pretty nice photos, better than for HTC
- SGS2 better movie recording
- SGS2 better movies playing
- SGS2 faster GPS sattelites localization
- SGS2 10 multitouch counted, HTC only 4
- SGS2 worse built than HTC (personally prefer HTC onecast built)
- HTC "death grip" issue
- personal - no experience with samsung products
- personal - fall in love with HTC - THE MAIN REASON OF PROBLEM TO MAKE CHOICE
I've used a Sensation and quite honestly prefer the S2. Not sure what more can be done to this phone than whats out there already, runs fast, battery lasts long, has a nice camera, has a great screen. I used to have a HD2 and I loved it (And also thought nothing could beat HTC phones) theres nothing wrong with the sensation but the S2 tops so many top 10 lists and for good reason. The CM range is nice but my S2 is pretty much perfect without it so I have no strong urgency to run it

It seems you know my dilemma It is pretty convincing in case as you'r writing you also had HTC phones, I am getting more for S2
My wife has sensation.I have SGS2.
HTC wins in raw resolution, but the s2 screen is truly gorgeous. The s2 also has far better camera and is much much slicker (faster) on the ui..
the screen is the MOST used part of the phone
so choose between best colors vs best resolution
I prefer the S2. Makes all other screens seem ancient
Tomorrow I have to decide in case I am going for new phone but I've already made decision thanks to your comments, thanks. S2 won.
If you are going to go for a custom rom then you will free up most of the Ram for the HTC, as sense is the ram killer. How about going for the HTC phone and then induldge in a Samsung Galaxy Tab, or go for a the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
The case that I am going to extend standing charge in Tmobile and they have special offer galaxy s2 or htc sensation for 0.25 E , there are some more phones but these ones are the best ones.
Was in the same dilemma. Decided on S2. Screen and better mic is why it won out. Only thing I will miss from a HTC phone is Sense. Which as above uses ram but personally I like the UI.

welcome in our club
If you buy S2 I suggest to use custom luncher like go luncher ex
because touchwiz is a bit too stock by means of customization.
and for sms -> handsend sms
all the other stock bits are very good, you may never bother with custom roms
(in the first months at least)
since we are XDAers not just stock phone users, how is dev support for the Sensation compared to the SGS2? I imagine its easier to develop drivers for the Sensation even though the SGS2 is more popular overall in sales figures...

Actually I'm not stock user but as well custom Roms, now I have Desire Z and I really apreciate all devs support and it is also for me one of the key points.
That's why I'm also asking whether support for Sgs2 is as well developed as for sensation?
I think the dev support here is fine, have no idea what the sensation section is like. But as I said before, what things can't we do with our phone due to lack of dev support? Only things I can think of are source drivers for things like ICS but tbh I wouldn't buy a phone just because it can run an update possibly 2-3 weeks early. On the whole, to me anyways the SGS2 is simply the better phone overall hence why I chose it.
Good answer thanks I am already convinced about SGS2. I was going to get it today but there was no black one in the store, only white Tomorrow I will have my SGS2
htc wont be getting that much dev support since they lock bootloaders
gs2 or galaxy nexus would be the best option for you
you can check the development section
we have cm7, cm9 , miui ggbread, miui ics, B2geeko and many others project
Hi all guys.
i have to buy a new phone. i actually own SGS1 and i am quite happy with it.
i just want to know... wich one should i choose? i love both. maybe i like more htc for disegn and sense. but i think SGS3 is more powerfull and got more things i like for example the rgb notify led, bigger battery(and i can extract it) and MicroSD. i dun really care about cameras. so.. give me your opnion ^^
thx all for help!
wait for the gs3 to be released. then wait a bit longer to see what problems it may or may not have. read the reviews. then make your own decision. they are the same phone more or less. only dif is some software tweaks.
as for me... ill be getting the gs3 if i decide to upgrade.
The One X has the same screen, everything is almost the same: camera,RAM, android version...
But there are 2 differences:
- The GS3 has an Exynos quad-core 1.4 GHz processor when the One X has a 1.5 GHz dual/quad-core processor (depends of your location),
- You must choose between HTC Sense or Samsung TouchWiz interfaces !
Iv got the one x and gs2 choosing between the gs3 is just down to design and feel for me as ill root it as i have with ny hox and gs3 so TW doesnt nake a difference to me aha so decide on design
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
but isnt tegra far behind exynos?
Its not far behind. Just not quite as fast. They are both a9. Samsung is just a little bit better at designing the chips
ok =) and another question. am i wrong or the blue gs 3 is lot darker then this forum image? coz from videos on youtube its near to black
You know as good as anyone. May 29th it'll hit he stores
These are the things that set each device apart from the other in my opinion. Almost everything else is fairly similar in both devices:
GS3:
- MicroSD card
- Up to 128GB storage (64GB handset + 64GB MicroSD card... really expensive though)
- Replaceable battery
- GPS + Glonass
- Touchwiz
HTC One X:
- IPS LCD display
- Cheaper
- 32GB storage
- Tegra3 games
- Sense 4
I think people aren't really representing how much better the S3's hardware is over the One X (particularly the international version).
Advantages of the S3 over the One X (international version):
Better SoC, also quad core but the HK-MG technology means significantly battery saving Vs NVIDIAs solution
Better GPU
Better battery capacity
Battery removable
Micro SD slot with exFAT compatibility
Likely much better sound quality given Wolfson DAC (I have the One X now and it's sound is passable, not a patch on the S1 I used to own)
Better GPS with GLONASS
Much better video capture (stills quality still unknown, but GSMarena preview makes me tend to think the S3 will best the One X there)
It hardly boils down to design and TW Vs Sense (S3 loses on both counts, but since most here won't use the stock launcher regardless the second point counts for a lot less than it will for the general consumer).

Here's my opinion OP, if you want the best designed phone, you like sense, you want to spend less money then go for the one x. If you want something more reliable, better battery, memory expandable and an very smooth user experience go with the S3. That's really what it comes down to.

it all depends on user..
Since you are happy with GS1, most probably you will happy will GS3 too. If you think you like HOX designed, let me assure you that is not worth sacrificing removable battery, sd card slot and overall features which GS3 is indeed better than HOX. Anyway, wait until you are able to hold the real device on your hand before deciding.

Don't choose white one x if you wear jeans, apparently.
Samsung's white plastic should be fine (booyah).
If you want a real quality flagship smartphone to experience go with SGS3.
My thoughts (not going to help you, OP - sorry, lol):
Whichever is available with AWS (so I may have to wait for a US/Can variant). OR, whenever T-Mo finally refarms their 1900 MHz band for HSPA+.
Barring that, I'm torn, too. For me, I'd buy the One X if they would have added a micro SD slot. It doesn't matter if it's the S4 or the Tegra 3 ... both seem hot, but I'm leaning towards the Tegra version only because the dev community would be larger there.
I would have liked a removable battery, but it's not as big of a deal as no micro SD.
I'd buy the Galaxy S3 if they would have put better thought to the design. TW is just "okay". Lots of features make me worry that there may be unforeseen things that can go wrong. Plus, I'm siding towards the HTC's camera app over the TW one.
I would have to pick up the SGS3 and also play with the camera app first hand to make a decision. Also, I'd like to see a real camera review between the HOX, SGS3, and the iPhone 4S.
The software/camera app may be a moot point if/when the OpenDesign feature pack for CM9 becomes a reality. HOpefully it's an addon pack so that users who don't want all that fluff can continue to use a clean CM9.
EDIT: I want to add that if the HTC EVO 4G LTE was a pentaband HSPA+ phone, I would have bought one by now. Seriously, the only thing I feel that is strongly missing the microSD.
I've been going round and round in circles all weekend . Currently got an HTC ONE X which other than a few multi tasking issues is perfect. I love it, hands down best phone i've ever owned. Its going back today because I've had a fall out with ThreeUK and have canceled my contract. I now have the option of a new phone. So its ether the new SIII or the HOX. I'm currently swaying towards the SIII due to battery life and slightly more power. I have a few questiosn I hope the community can help me with?
In the future will there be any ROMs which have Beats Audio cooked in or will it clash with the SIII DAC?
Is it possible to get Tegra games working without root?
Could the HOX camera app ever be ported to SIII?
Can you place multiple apps within a folder on the home screeen?
Warrenty, the HTC warrenty is void as soon as you unlock the boot loader. Whats the story with Samsungs and warranty?
The way I look at it the SIII has more potential. Since the HOX runs so hot, OC'ing doesn't look that promising. Hows the SIII? Does it get toasty or are increased clocks possible later down the line?
Going to ahve a look at the SIII tonight after work. See how it feels in the hand and see how I get on with the screen. Clearing up the above quations will certainly aid in my decision.
I cant answer most of your questions but i had the same choice HOX or S3,i wanted the HOX since launch because i really like the sence software but changed my mind at the last minute........
to answer one of your questions, yes you can have folders but you have to create the folder rather than just dragging one tile on top of the other like you can on HTC phones ,i had a htc sensation xe before this S3
in some ways i still prefer the HTC sensation mainly due to the sence software, the beats software also sounds better via headphones than the audio on the S3 (just my opinion) music has abit more "punch" to it on the beats , if that makes sence
anyway good luck choosing im sure both phones are great
I'm hoping with ROM development there will be a nice stream lined release.
Other than the fancy clock widgets what does sense actually offer over TW? I'm finding it hard to spot in the videos other than the obvious theme changes.

1 - Seems that Voodoo Sound is coming to the SGS3 - huge SQ improvement, and a million times better than Beats. I'd be surprised if any ROM chef choses Beats.
2 - In most countries warranty is voided by rooting or flashing non-stock ROMs. It's easy enough to restore a stock ROM and reset the flash counter if neceesary (via Triagle Away).
3 - I've been giving my phone a very heavy workout for almost a day now, and it has been slightly warm on a couple of occasions and no more. Very impressed.
I've had my HOX up to 52C and my Battery Information widget is saying "Over Heating" this is just from playing GTA3. Most the development on the HOX is to undervolt to get more battery not performance. I think the S3 since it uses a smaller Nm manufacturing process it may well OC better than the HOX. 5 hours screen time compared to 3.30hrs is much better IMO. Just looking at beats headphones and a 64GB SD card now. £96 for the two very tempted to click purchase and go get a white S3 at lunch.
Couple more questions:
How is the MHL working with the S3? Is it 720p output or does it do 1080p? The HOX has a small boarder when using MHL adapter and drives me mad!
I've read that 1080p on BBC iplayer is currently laggy. How is 1080p on youtube?
Appearently the s 3 supports the new mhl standard (V2.0) which is limited to 1080p60 and 8 channel audio.
If that's true the S3 seems to one up the HOX a little on most points. Waiting on the cable and wireless charging from Samsung now!

Hi there, I'm sure you get these kinds of questions all the time, but please indulge my relative newness. I tried to use the search function; however, it kept timing out before it retrieved any results. Something wrong with my internet, I am sure.
My phone network have given me a choice between some lovely phones (turns out paying bills on time gets you in their good books!) and I am tending towards the GS 3, I was wondering if any owners could tell me if I'm making the right call or a mistake.
My choices are the new Nokia Lumia WP7, HTC One X, Galaxy S 3 and the iPhone 4S.
I like the WP7 because I use the Zune software anyway (I actually use a Zune as my main mp3 player,) but that's just about the only reason. I'm not a massive Apple fan, but if it's the superior phone I would be tempted to go for it. I've been using a Desire S for a while, so am quite used to HTC (as well as liking Sense UI quite a bit, apparently that's contraversial.) The Samsung looks really nice from the reviews I've watched, but I've heard there are some build quality problems as well as Touchwiz UI (not a fan. Apparently that's contraversial too.)
Or is it worth sticking it out for HTC's next inevitable offering?
Any help would be appreciated
Go into a phone shop and ask to try each one out, prod, poke, play, stroke, drool, only you can really decide what's best for you. Don't listen to the guy in the shop, he's almost certainly going to be an Apple fanboy (aren't they always? it's bizarre!)
Lumia - low resolution screen
HOX - poor battery life, as well as a sealed in battery
iPhone 4S - tiny screen
These are just a few areas where the S3 beats all these phones, and that's without going into software. Physically the hardware of the S3 is hands-down the best overall package, screen is great (whether it's the best is debatable), great processor, great camera, great call quality, decent speaker volume. Great audio chip inside too, if you're really into your music like me.
Any minor issues the S3 does have can be fixed NOW with custom ROMs, and/or will be fixed by Samsung later with official updates. The issues mentioned for the other phones CANNOT be fixed at all.
It's really horses for courses - I know many, many people who love their iPhones, but when I show them my S3 with a live wallpaper Facebook/Twitter/weather ticker, scrolling launcher dock with all my main used apps on it, the great photos it takes and how great they look and video looks on the AMOLED screen, and how I *Swype like a boss* (phrase stolen from another XDA user), it's written all over their faces how jealous they are.
The only possible real criticism I can level at this phone is that it's very big, and the difficulty with which you have to operate it one-handed could be a show stopper for many people. Aside from that, I think it's easily the best phone on the market right now.
EDIT: Oh and if you don't like Touchwiz then you can get rid of a lot of how it looks by using a different launcher. Or go the whole way, root and flash a vanilla Android ICS ROM. I haven't looked, but I'm sure there will be a Sense ROM floating around for it soon too, if there isn't one already
EDIT 2: As for build quality problems - the only prob I've heard about was the hyperglaze coating/paint job. The first handset I received had a small imperfection in the finish and I sent it right back. The replacement is perfect.
I have heard about dodgy solder connections inside the HOX which can break if the phone is knocked hard, and disable your wifi, Apparently HTC have admitted it's an issue and resolved it now, but there's still plenty of the dodgy HOXs in stores I would imagine - bit of a gamble to buy one, you might end up having to send it back much later, and that's even if HTC don't refuse you - if it's got any exterior damage from the knock/drop then they could tell you to get stuffed, even though the solder prob inside is a known issue.
I guess it really depends on what operating system you like the best. WP7, ios and android all offer different things and it really is quite subjective so the only person that can answer that is you. Now if you choose android and are trying to decide what phone you want I'm pretty sure everybody here will suggest the SGS3. For obvious reasons..

I also came from an HTC Desire S, just moved to the GS3.
I found some of the SenseUI a bit confusing and find the GS3 more straightforward in that respect.
The GS3 hardware is stunning, especially the GPS which is a million times better than the Desire S.
If you are used to connecting your HTC device as a USB disk drive, then you're going to miss that because the GS3 can't do it. I was dissappointed by this apparent omission at first, but after a few days I have got used to the connection method provided by Samsung and it's no big deal transferring music or videos to the device or SD card.
My GS3 apparently also synchronises contacts, calendar etc to Outlook properly using KIES, which is something that never worked properly for me with the HTC. (It annoyingly kept changing my Outlook contact name format etc)
Big thumbs-up for GS3 from me !
Thanks for your advice! It seems like a really nice device. Tachikoma_kun is right though, got to go and have a look first.
Again, thanks!
If wanna changed to new phone, might as well change network. Loving my sgs3. Highly recommended. Best phone. Period.

Luckily, the OP is in the UK where we don't have software patents yet. Nothing like competing via the courtroom if you can't compete in the marketplace.
I had the One X and its not a bad phone at all, but the S3 is much better:
- better battery life
- external sd card
- removable battery
- touchwizz 5 has improved a lot and seems lighter on the system than tw 4
- better cpu and gpu
- better camera
- better soundquality and volume
For me the S3 is king
Thanks for all the information again, although with regard to the sound quality: HTC keep touting that they have Beats audio on their phones. I don't know much about it (I normally keep away from things Dr Dre does) but it's supposed to be pretty good, or premium at least. Is Samsung's one really better? I listen to a lot of different kinds of music (from classical to electro to black metal) but it's normally on the heavy rock/metal side. Is Samsung's better for this?
Cheers
The whole "beats audio" thing is just an attempt at a branding gimmick. Bit like a perfume company recruiting Victoria Beckham to put her name to it.
Not sure it's even a good branding exercise. When was the last time Dr dre was relevant? Wasn't his last biggest tune "still dre" back in 1998.
Now if HTC had done a deal with David Guetta.. it might have caught the attention more of their target market.
In short beats audio is nothing to take into account .
Choose anything except Iphone
WP7? Wait for another one year.
Anyway, since you have used HTC for quite some time, why not try Samsung.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to thank you for your advice. Settled on a Galaxy S 3 in white in the end.
Cheers
