!NEED HELP! - Weird Message in Notification Bar - Motorola Droid RAZR

Just recently, I tried downloading a picture off the internet (and if you must know it was a picture of a cow with its tongue sticking out ) from my phone and instead of downloading the .jpg or .png file it shows the message "9k=.bin" I've tried turning the phone on and off and even a hard reset as well as toggling the airplane mode but it still shows that it is downloading despite having no internet connection. I can't get rid of it no matter what I do. PLEASE HELP!

Have you tried opening downloads, canceling the download and deleting the file?

Deleting the file likely won't clear it from the taskbar. Instead, go to Menu -> Apps -> Download Manager . . . force stop and clear data. That should clear it from the task bar and allow you to re-download it.

Try to connect using wifi

try hitting your phone with a hammer... sometimes the buffers get stuck and you have to do a "Hard Reset"...

Lol can you imagine some taking that advice to heart? 8)

Ive tried researching this but I have came up empty handed. It appears once my screen is off google talk is logged out. How do I keep google talk always logged in?

I really hope this isnt a wide spread thing. I use Google talk heavily. I cant afford for it to disconnect upon my screen timing out. I havent used it since I activated my phone to test though.
Maybe check under the power saver option in settings. There is an option to turn off background data when the screen turns off. Maybe that's it?

I will try that setting out and report back

Just uncheck auto away status and it will stop logging out.

Is anyone else having an issue where google talk won't load for them? I touch the icon and it looks like it loads for a second then flashes back to the app drawer. I tried clearing the application data, didn't help, and of course I can't uninstall/reinstall

Yup, I have to restart the phone to get it working. I also notice that Restart does NOT restart the phone for me. It powers it down.

See if u can do the 4 corner touch bypass (youtube if needed) then go into settings-accounts and sign into your Google account if needed. If all goes well try activating your phone from the dialer. I can't remember what thing to dial so see if u can locate a computer or someone else's phone and Google it

You have to go to Verizon's website and get rid of the feature that's causing it. For wifi try to modify it (long click) and click advanced, change the IP to static, fill in the blanks with what you see there, save and exit then modify again and change IP back to the other option. Then it may connect and disconnect a few times just let it go and it should work

Sign into Verizon and click change features (first pic.) Select ur device and click next. Then go through the list and just disable all features that r enabled (2nd pic) (I don't remember the exact feature for fixing the problem so just disable them all or disable one at a time then click next towards the bottom to confirm the change)

Once I disabled the features I stopped getting the texts. The last two I got had stop or something in them. I also deleted my email account just in case after I disabled the features from Verizon. Since then I haven't gotten anything. Google it that's what I did and those r the steps it took me through

i have looked everywhere and cannot find them. can one of you please post the link...they got so bad i had to put my stock rom back on...the texts are numbers...i got a bunch with the number 1 then 2 then 3 and one was 4....then they went back to 1, i kept wiping cache and all....so please post the link and could someone plleeeasee tell me whats causing this all of a sudden cause my girlfriend has the exact same rom flashed and she is not getting any texts like this....
So when I worked for a wireless kiosk we had a lot of issues like this. It ended up being backup assistant plus. We would take that off peoples accounts and that would stop the texts.

If you get the text messages from Verizon (6250 or whatever). This is how you get rid of that. Login to your Verizon Wireless account. Towards the top, mouse over where it says "My Verizon" and look under "My Plans and Services" and click on "Change Features." Select your phone or the phone that is getting the messages. Now when the next page comes up, look for "Cloud Storage and Sync" and remove the Email Sync option. It's free and will not change your billing. There you go, no more texts

I got those too. I finally found out that I inadvertently signed up for the backup assistant from Verizon. I don't remember exactly how I did it. But I think if you go to their website and remove your account or its connection to yours or something like that. Anyway hope it helps.

Well i finally found it was Backup Assistant....took it up, got a text saying delete from that number and i havent gotten anything else since then.....thanks everybody!

It's notification in the notification bar is still there which does not go even after rebooting. Notification when pulled down does like this...

USB Debugging doesnt work

Well I don't know how to start but here it is. I have a Droid RAZR XT912 Jelly Bean 4.1.2. Here is my problem so I cant get access to USB on my phone all It does is charge through computer of course. Im trying to root my phone again but I cant since I cant access USB debugging all this happened because of AVAST anti-theft in which I set up on another ROM. If some one could please help me here I tried z4root doesn't work if someone could tell me how to manually root my phone without a computer this would really help. Thanks for reading this and for the help as well.:good:
Have you disabled the avast antitheft, and tried?
You can't root without a computer

When you plugin your usb cable, in the notification bar it explains how the device is connected, are you verifying it is attached as a media storage device? Phone is unlocked and screen on when attatched to the computer? Have you tried reinstalling avast and see if the settings are still the same... and if you can change them?
When I connect to the computer it does nothing no notification no sound all I see is that it's charging the only way I get something is when it's on diagnostic mode on which I need flash MZ600 drivers which the computer can't find. The phone is unlocked when I plug it in and the screen does stay on and yes I did download avast and I can't change the settings since I'm not rooted.
