USB Debugging doesnt work - Motorola Droid RAZR

Well I don't know how to start but here it is. I have a Droid RAZR XT912 Jelly Bean 4.1.2. Here is my problem so I cant get access to USB on my phone all It does is charge through computer of course. Im trying to root my phone again but I cant since I cant access USB debugging all this happened because of AVAST anti-theft in which I set up on another ROM. If some one could please help me here I tried z4root doesn't work if someone could tell me how to manually root my phone without a computer this would really help. Thanks for reading this and for the help as well.:good:

Have you disabled the avast antitheft, and tried?
You can't root without a computer

When you plugin your usb cable, in the notification bar it explains how the device is connected, are you verifying it is attached as a media storage device? Phone is unlocked and screen on when attatched to the computer? Have you tried reinstalling avast and see if the settings are still the same... and if you can change them?

When I connect to the computer it does nothing no notification no sound all I see is that it's charging the only way I get something is when it's on diagnostic mode on which I need flash MZ600 drivers which the computer can't find. The phone is unlocked when I plug it in and the screen does stay on and yes I did download avast and I can't change the settings since I'm not rooted.

Sometimes using front pc usb doesnt detect the phone, have you tried using main usb ports on your pc ( back ). If fails try restarting your pc.

When I plug the USB cable into the XPERIA NEO phone and then into the PC the Mount option in
the notifications never shows up. The usb cable
is fine because it does charge and the drive icon
shows up in the PC, however, when I click on
the drive it says please connect the drive. If I
pull down the notification bar it isn't recognizing
the usb as being plugged in / doesn't provide the
option to mount / unmount the device. If I go
into application settings and then development i
can select the usb debugging and when i
connect there it brings up the popup that asks if
you want to allow or not, if I select yes it does
say usb debugging connected, but again,
nothing shows up in the notification bar to
actually mount the device to the computer. The
phone was reset to "factory settings" already
and there's nothing on it apart from what came
with it right now. How do I get to mount it to
the PC and get the mount notification back in
the notifications drop down??
settings->Sony Ericsson->Connectivity:
check what is set under "USB connection mode", and if it's set "Mass storage mode(MSC)" check if you marked "Auto connect on MSC"
Hm, but even then you should get a message in notification bar
Nothing helps..
My sd card working in other phone, in same usb port with same usb wire.

Managed to fix it ??
Keep trying to use FlastTool
Required me to try like 25-30 time :O
Try different Data cables :/
Or do a factory Reset in CWM, it will get rid of the ububtu apps and drivers
Ok, all story
I installed custom zip, who broke my phone.
Reflashed phone to 2.3.3 with flashtool
Connected usb to pc, sd card working great.
I restored my backup 2.3.4 via cwm.
And thats all, usb doesnt work.
That cwm backup i made long time ago.

Clear everything (factory reset) and reflash "properly"... backing up or restoring an OS or ROM is not a great idea, integrity wise.
Agreed, since your USB working now, flash a clean firmware
Ok, i try this

[Question] how to remove superuser

Just updated my phone and I forgot to remover root first. The phone works fine but superuser is still there and I can't uninstall it, I tried using the script but no joy. I don't use many root apps so its a bit pointless being there.
Thanks

Use Mattgroffs razr utility. It allows you to unroot. But there really is no point in removing it as it wont effect the phone. The only reason you would really need to have it gone is if you had to turn your phone in for a replacement.
Is mattgroffs utility different from doomlords? I wanted it gone just on the off chance something does go wrong, no point having it on my phone of it its rooted.
Thanks

I have never used doom lords so I would say they are different.

Need help! Screen not working

I need a way to pull all data from my phone. the screen turns on but is completely unresponsive in the middle of the screen so I can't type half the letters. Anyway to pull data from recovery?
Have you tried creating a backup from cwm?
Its not rooted, completely stock
Guessing you tried auto rotate? When mine went bad, I turned it on, and rotated every direction as needed. Worked for me. Kind of a pain, but allowed me to get all of my info......
Ya I tried, doesn't rotate
That's terrible. Sorry to hear.
The only other way would be a lapdock. I did that as well.

What data that you want to pull out? Do u familiar with LINUX platform?
Sent from my MB860 using xda app-developers app
Mainly pictures And a few contacts. Pictures weren't saving on SD card unfortunately. No I'm not familiar with Linux
Try install airdroid and see whether u can backup from there.
Sent from my MB860 using xda app-developers app
If XP try android commander
Load it up and you will see all partitions for your phone. Tick sdcard or mnt/emmc and pull to pc
But may not work with you being stock and unrooted

on my mums atrix the touch screen was unreponsive like mentioned but this went away after a while.... it could be a software issue
Do a restore from proper .SBF with rsdlite, this will reset back to factory ROM. If your problem was software, this will fix.
Consider unlock and use CMW...

!NEED HELP! - Weird Message in Notification Bar

Just recently, I tried downloading a picture off the internet (and if you must know it was a picture of a cow with its tongue sticking out ) from my phone and instead of downloading the .jpg or .png file it shows the message "9k=.bin" I've tried turning the phone on and off and even a hard reset as well as toggling the airplane mode but it still shows that it is downloading despite having no internet connection. I can't get rid of it no matter what I do. PLEASE HELP!

Deleting the file likely won't clear it from the taskbar. Instead, go to Menu -> Apps -> Download Manager . . . force stop and clear data. That should clear it from the task bar and allow you to re-download it.
Try to connect using wifi

try hitting your phone with a hammer... sometimes the buffers get stuck and you have to do a "Hard Reset"...
Lol can you imagine some taking that advice to heart? 8)
