Better method is moving apps in system/app partition.
Any good file explorer can do that.

i used mini tool to create ext partition and swap partition swapper2 has linked to my swap partition but link2sd wont mount the ext partotion. ive reformated it with all the formats but none of them work and ive tried to mount sdext in cwm mounts & storage but it says error mounting sdext aswell. im out of ideas
just double check n make sure all ur partition is in primary partition
In mini tool partition,
First create the main storage
second should be ext
Third is swap
U partitioned like above bro?

yep, but i dont creat swap partition coz i dont use it. but make sure fisrt partition (fat) n second parttion (ext) both are primary not extended or logical partition.
just to make sure if u dont have any importand files in ur fat partition or maybe back it up first then re partition all over again n choose primary not logical

what you need to do it first backup all your data on your system.. then format the memory card(check to make it fat32)... then create the partation..copy back your data to memory card back again... hope this will work for you
here is the full tutorial of how to use link2sd card and mini tools..

Can anyone help me about find the solution for enabling ext4 and swap partition in ICS roms.
on GB i flash script by darktermor and then my swap partition and ext4 partition works perfectly and after installing apps, they move automatically to ext partition.
But in ICS this script doesnt work and when I install link2sd it ask about my partition but it moves my apps to android.secure not ext partition and my swap partition doesnt work.
I tried mesa kernel, kernel panic, but in terminal my swap partition is 0 .
Can you help me please
Thing is, darktremore a2sd doesnt work well with ics/jb. Try mount2sd script, can mount swap partition too.

thank you,I installed from this topic but still it doesnt work
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342387
it will work. i'm using it.
My phone is xperia mini pro
with kernel panic.
Can I use your kernel will it enable this ?
Or it is because of my rom that it cant support this ?
mount2sd need a type of sysinit that invoke init.d script after boot, and my kernel does support it.
just make sure u create partition correctly eg:
1st partition as fat32, primary. this is for usual sdcard files.
2nd partition as ext2/3/4, primary, this is for mount2sd use for moving dalvik, apps, apps data etc.
3rd partition swap.
I use swap and ext partition on GB as well and had no problem.
but now even use mesa but it cant mount my sd card i install both aroma installer and legacy install of mount2sd script but it doesnt work.

If youre ext4 is mounted, it should always work. I never had any problems restoring my ROMS and have the apps on ext4 restored.
Im using Link2sd btw, and it has always worked great.
I have around 115 apps moved and linked to my ext4 and they always been restored.
Check that there is nothing wrong with your ext4 partition
