[Q] Compiled recovery - distorted screen... How to repair? - Android

I've compiled ClockworkMod Recovery from CyanogenMod sources and I tried to boot into this recovery (via fastboot boot recovery.img) and all I see is that:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Is there any way to repair it?
I can select something from menu (but I don't know what)...
The phone is GSmart G1317D ("Rola").
Edit: If this could help, this phone doesn't have any GPU (MSM7225).
Edit2: I tried again and I see something strange...
You can see the launcher bar at the bottom... It's darker than usual and I can't do anything with it.
Edit3: Ok, I've fixed it.

It would be very useful to describe how did you fix your problem, or what did caused the problem.

No problem - I just had to change branch to ICS and compile recovery from new source - perhaps its older version was broken somehow.

[Q] Need some help with 2nd-init recovery

I have been working on porting 2nd init recovery to my device, LG L70. I have already built cwm for it and tried just placing the rc, prop, fstab, and qcom files in there, then recompiling it and testing. It booted to recovery but when I was there, the little android guy was black and white and also very pixelated and on top of that the recovery seemed to be stuck on an infinite load. This has happened when trying both the cwm I built and the stock recovery.img. If anyone has experienced this problem and would help me or point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I think menu is not displayed or by a compiling error or a problem with hardware buttons... I will try to fix.
I cannot know if sd ext work for the reason of menu.
Hopefully you can successfully completed this CWM! Keep up the good work mate!

The sd card problem is in the kernel i think. The mmcblk1 is not mounted by the kernel, so probably also CWM have the same problem like Cyanogen and TWRP recovery. I'm trying to understand how mmcblk partitions are mounted by the kernel and solve the problem.

Stupid mistake Firmware update bootloop (Flashed twrp too early)

Hi Guy's,
I think I may have made a really blooming stupid mistake. After re-flashing stock due to some funny errors in my rooted rom I attempted to enter the bootloader again and flash trwp without unlocking the bootloader. I had the same adb window open from my first root and cycled through the commands and simply pressed the wrong command
So I'm in the infamous yellow "lock the bootloader" problem wherein it simply boots me into the firmware update. I had tried to do my previous restore to stock with LGUP that was successful however it throws up an error now as I believe it doesn't like that I updated in the mean time from buggering my phone up. (see attached pic) I have also tried to use a kdz for the 10i found here from the forum to only have LGUP crash upon initiating usb connection at 3%.
I know of no way to go back at lock/unlock the bootloader and I do apologise for the inconvenience but any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a million!

LG L3 II won't (kinda) boot

Hi there.
I just want to make some premises:
-The device is NOT rooted
-The device was NOT flashed or been modified in any way
Anyways,
I just picked up this phone after some years of being in some boxes, and wanted to see if it still works.
Here's what he does in booting:
-Logo
-Logo with screen less brighter
-Vodafone animation (yeah, my phone is branded)
-Stuck (like the image)
-Home button light still flashing tho
I tried to hard reset it, it kinda works, by booting, going into the setup, and 1-2 seconds later it boots itself straight into the animation (yup, no logo) and remains stuck.
I seriously don't know what to do.
Can you guys please help me out?
Thanks in advance

yes and no
let me explain:
yes because I have everything set up for the process
and no because the LG softwares don't recognize the phone

in short, no
[FIXED]
so I recently fixed, here's what I did:
-Downloaded and installed KDZ;
-Picked my software file (un-branded, while I were at it)
-Opened KDZ with Administrator Privileges (very crucial step, or else KDZ will crash for some unknown reasons)
-Flashed
-Waited
-Done
