Guys two days ago I got s2 with Samsung exyonus cpu . That's great!
But I had random black screen to get arid of it I had to reboot.
Happened once with original ROM I think after a call...and now happened just out of nowhere with custom 4.1.1 ROM from xda...
Ideas?

I think for now most, if not all 4.1.1 rom available for S2 are not stable yet. So either go back to earlier version or get use to it.
I did found on google some ppl had it on stock as I had too... any ideas?

Hi everyone,
I have been using the F1 Galaxy nexus rom on my Galaxy s2 and have had a problem with it freezing on me a couple of times.
Today I finished making a Skype call and the phone froze as I tried to pull down the notification bar. It just sort of hung halfway down. After that it pretty much froze up apart from the fact that I was able to power off using the power button.
I am wondering if I have the right Clockworkmod recovery on my phone. I installed recently CF-Root XX_XEO-LPQ v5.4 as previously I tried out the official samsung Ics ROM XX_LPQ.
After this I flashed the nexus f1 rom using the same version of clockworkmod.
Can anyone advise me if this is the correct one to use to flash the nexus f1 rom or is there another version that is more compatible with this rom. I have read that you need the correct kernel to match your phone's firmware and that certain kernels don't work with certain roms.
Please excuse my general ignorance. I have tried searching for an answer on the forum but couldn't find what I was looking for
I did do a full wipe and factory reset before flashing the rom.

Have now siyah kernel installed. Did a full wipe with ultimate kernel cleaner before flashing new kernel. Still getting the occasional freeze although 90 percent of the time it runs just fine.
Shame because I really like this from and want to stick with it.
Was wondering if anyone else has experienced these freeze ups?

Having weird problems that others don't, do what other have done and you don't......
Full wipe, don't restore using titanium, keep it as is for a while that is no kernel changing and see how it works.
Hey everyone,
I'm noticing a bad loss of connectivity on my Note, currently running Black Star using Blaze 4G modem (was on UVLK1 before). It seems like it keeps losing signal, the bars are there, the '4G' is there, but it won't communicate. No texting, no web, no calls (they disconnect immediately). Both modems are doing this.
The only way I am getting around it is to pull the battery + SIM, put back and reboot. That is only a temporary fix as the problem returns. I did not notice this when I first bought the phone (used), and it was running stock GB.
What is the best GB ROM out there now? I am really desperate to try anything and would like to flash a different ROM next...I would try CM9 but I heard there is no S-Pen with it since AOKP.
Thanks!
Flappjaxxx's will prolly be your answer. You want a semi, well mostly stock rom with everything working then this is it.

This is the one rom that since I've put on my phone I've never taken off in case I had a problem...I know its there and keeps me from worrying

sharky got it...
but i'd like to suggest that you try flashing the stock GB UCLA1 modem, and try it out with the ICS Rom.
I've had great success using this modem on virtually all of the ICS roms i've tried...
It can be found in the "note everything" thread, or in the first few posts of Flappjaxxx rom i believe..
It is a CWM zip file, so no odin or kies is needed.
Here it is....

Good luck, and happy flashing......g
No better GB ROM than Saurom 7.1.

If you need S-Pen then go FlapJaxxx' Samsung ICS build. Forget about GB and welcome the new smoothness.

I just bought a used working 777.It has a cracked screen.I aim to replace it screen(been doing that with cappys).I haven't got the phone in hand yet but am reading up on it.Was wondering if 9100 screen is compatible?
Ive been playing around w/captivates for a couple of years.I've enjoyed that phone.Just bought wife new 777.Thought I'd experiment with one. This phone supposedly has supernexus rom.On my cappys have prefers CWM7.2
with glitch kernel.Prefer gb Tom's,at least on captivate.Would CWM 7.2 run well on 777?
Can't wait to start playing with the 777.Any suggestions or tips are appreciated.thnx,rbb1robert:thumbup:

On the i777, recovery is in the kernel. I think the latest CWM I've seen on here is 6.0 and minor revisions of it. As for the screen fitting, it likely would, but I would look into it more first.

The screen for i9100 has a hole where the physical button is, which the i777 does not have. So I would say no. Even if it did work you wouldn't have a home button....I haven't tried cm 7 for the i777. I personally use captivating x4 Rom which is based off of cm 10.1 with ajk kernel.

Thnx for replies.
I got the used 777 in hand today,so,so starts the fun!It works with the cracked screen,so that will be when I find deal on screens.
I'm assuming this phone came stock w/gb like my wife's phone. Now it has supernexus. My ? is,can u tell if it has gb bootloaders? My first thought is Odin/simply stock. Then flash corn kernel for cwm. From there root and flash.
If this phone is as indistructable as the captivate,it should give me hours of experimenting.
Again,thnx for the replies.rbb1robert

You won't have root and it will erase everything. Check the super everything thread on how to root.

i've done a bunch of reading on 4.1.2 and see that its laggy. Can someone tell me if 4.0.4 or 4.1.2 is better as a stock rom?

4.0 is probably better on everything, cause its older, better battery too. But not as many bells and whistles. A lot of the lag can be eliminated just by disabling ripple effect on lock screen. The remaining with Trickster. I know you don't like to read too much, but if you went to p355 - 378 in Padawan thread, all lag issues (for most) disappeared. My phone never ran better. I've gotten comfortable with bells and whistles though. Stock is very bland for me now.

Sounds like modem issue. Try flashing a separate modem on top of. Don't know what other 2 ROMs you flashed? Not sure what the effect would be, but Padawan doesn't need gapps.
But I would check modem

Is that i need my device to be rooted and i don't wanna touch hot cpu.Can you think of an advice? Thanks in advance
