So I have three Android Devices.
Samsung Galaxy S3 (ICS 4.0.4) (Stock)
Galaxy Nexus (JB 4.1.1) (unlocked but jelly bean re-rooted)
Galaxy 7 (JB 4.1.1) (stock)
The problem is, I can't transfer pictures between any of them. If I try to send a pictrue from the S3 to my Galaxy Nexus I get this.

If i try to send a picture from my Galaxy Nexus to my S3 I get this error message.
"the receiver device does not support large file transfer via beam"
When I try to send a picture from either S3 or Galaxy Nexus to the Nexus 7 I get nothing at all as if the NFC is turned off but all three devices do have it turned on.
Am I missing something here?
Sending pictures with the help of NFC was only introduced in Jelly Bean. This is why your Galaxy S3 is unable to send pictures to your Nexus, or the other way around.
I'm not sure what the issue with your Nexus 7 is, but it's possible that you're not tapping the phones against it in the right place. The NFC antenna for the Nexus 7 is located behind the Nexus logo on the back of the device.
If NFC isn't working on ICS why is Samsung advertising it in the S3 videos? And is there any announcement for JB's release from Google?

NFC is working on the S3, but Samsung have opted to use a different method for transfer than Google.
Jelly Bean has been out for the Galaxy Nexus for almost a month. You'll have to wait much longer for Samsung to push it out to S3s.
Just tried this with my friend's s3 ics. Definitely doesn't work. So dumb to advertise or even release phones without fully working capabilities. Sick of all this word play on Android devices instead of fixing quality issues.

I had ICS on my GS3 like 3 months ago and I used it just fine... I tried to send a picture between my GS3 and my Mom's GS3 on ICS and it said it was TOO LARGE.. a picture... wow..

i'm on T-Mobile's network (off contract) and have no intentions of switching carriers as T-Mobile has been cheap and provided excellent service in Philly.
i used to have an Amaze 4G which i sold to get an unlocked AT&T Galaxy Note. now i'm using my brother's G2 (awesome upgrade from the Note huh? )
so i'm wondering what my next phone should be and have narrowed it down to 3 choices.
HTC One S - not sure how to feel about this phone. updated sensation 4G? but great size and feel to the phone. fast fast fast S4 processor. having used the Note, i wish it had higher res and NFC capabilities. the plus here is that my brother is willing to get this phone for me for $200 using his upgrade.
Galaxy Nexus - i've always loved nexus phones. Direct Google updates, tremendous dev support, 720p screen, etc. but outdated internals (compared to what is currently available on the market)
Galaxy SIII - no concrete details yet, but willing to hold out until May 3rd...although i'm itchin to replace the G2
assuming the SIII is not all that it's hyped to be, then One S or Galaxy Nexus?
the One X would be nice, but i want to stay with T-Mobile...unless AT&T's version has hidden support for T-Mobiles AWS frequencies a la Galaxy Note.
One S hands down. The oxidised metal and design is great!

Does anybody know if the US version of Galaxy S3 to be different from international version? I remember trying galaxy note. I got unlocked international version of galaxy note, but i got screen protector for US version, which didn't have cutout for the home button.
For galaxy s3, it doesn't look too different as having the home button is same, but do you think they are all in the same size, as well? Does anyone have the information about dimension?
Thanks.

Int: Quadcore, mali-400 (GPU), Wolfson audio, no LTE
US: Dualcore (28nm), not sure yet about the GPU but will be different from the Int version and probably sightly lower. Same for the audio we don't know yet, LTE support
That said rom for int version will not be compatible with US version and US version roms will not be compatible with Int version.

Physically they will be EXACTLY the same!! They will only differ in terms of whats inside, specifically the processor and the RAM!
This time Samsung decided to go with identical devices all over the world, which is good thing in a way!
The only difference is the inside ..
I just bought a screen protector that said it fits all carriers GS3 plus the international one off amazon
Obvious the Galaxy note INT and the US version is different .. the only accessories that will fit are ones that don't cover the navigation buttons

I know all those hardware differences!!!! please the question before you reply! I meant dimensional information, and it turns out Verizon one to be a little bit bigger. :/
Who and another did not preorder a Galaxy Note 7 ? Do you still consider buying Samsung’s latest phablet ? Samsung Galaxy S8 is nearly half a year away accrording to this report
Would you wait for the Galaxy S8 or S8 edge, or would you buy a non-Samsung smartphone this year instead?
I was all set to buy a Note 7 on release day in the UK. I didn't pre-order as my contract wasn't due for renewal until the day after release. Obviously it's now looking like late October/early November before they will be widely available.
At the moment I'm waiting to see what Google bring to the table with the Pixel XL before deciding. They launch that on 4th October.
S8 Edge is an option but despite the crazy rumours I suspect it will be little different to the S7.
Answer is yes; question is when.
Samsung Galaxy S8 display rumored to carry 4K resolution and support for VR.
yes if price reduced
surely i will buy it but price should be reduced to at least 30-40 %
yes, I want another one!
Do you guys know that Samsung Galaxy retains No.1 spot in brand value despite recall, a local brand research company said Monday.

Here are the 5 reasons to buy note 7
It's the prettiest phone Samsung has ever made
It's one of the best smartphone cameras
It's the most stylus-friendly Android device
It has more bells and whistles than other flagships
It's better than the Galaxy S7
Yep... ive already gotten mine. Works great and have not had any issues whatsoever!
I actually managed to get mine last week wed. I am not sure why I was allowed to have it But I love it.

Agreed.
If it had a flat screen and front firing stereo speakers it would be perfect

The Galaxy Note 7... Like a phoenix, will rise from its ashes of despair
And soar!
Who's with me on Project Phoenix? A fitting name for Samsung to deliver our next incarnation of the Galaxy Note series.
---
Anybody? Well I just thought we hear a lot of people slating Samsung and the Note 7 for the whole battery fire fiasco.
Can they not rise from that to produce something stronger, more exciting and more determined?

Nah, they missed their chance with the failure of 'Project: Release a revised Note 7 without the same issue'.
Sorry but on that one Samsung fu*ked up badly. The second recall was a joke and Samsung basically killed the "Note" series with that mistake.
If they ever release a new "Note" phone, with a S-Pen, it won't be called a "Note". The brand "Note" is damaged beyond repair...

I understand that they did screw up. I agree. But I guess the point of this post is to see what Samsung can learn from all this. I am hoping that they can raise the bar and produce another excellent S-Pen based phone that we love as much as the Note 7 and be given another chance to do it.
I think the Name will change but we can all still appreciate that underneath the new name it's another Note.
I hope so. The Note series was THE flagship smartphone by a clear mile.

Note 7 is mess up, but not note 5, 4 ,3, 2, note
I'm in. My Note 7 (second) was great. Samsung should just use the 7 Edge inards for the new next Note.

project phoenix... a.k.a. Galaxy Note 8
Hi everyone I’m currently debating picking this device up. It seems this device so far has a lot less activity than the Galaxy S2. I’m curious if this is because of the price. I see the tab S2 can be had for about $300 these days and it has a lot of custom development. The Tab S3 on the other hand seems to be a newer device and we have TWRP and some ROM’s but I would hope when Samsung drops support for this device that lineageos or some other AOSP ROM’s would be out for this device. What are you guys opinions on getting the Tab S3 over the Tab S2. Do you thing development will pick up for the S3 in the future? I was really hesitant at first due to the Tab S3’s battery draining Wi-Fi bug but it seems Samsung may have remedied that in recent releases. And I really do like the S pen and that is one of my major motivators to get the S3 over the S2. I see Costco has a sale for the S3 for $470.00 (Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Wi-Fi Tablet - 32GB - Quad Core - Black - with $20 Google Play Credit)

Wifi bug is still very much present but at this point unless Google surprises us with a new Pixel tablet (which does not have it's own share of wifi bugs like the first one lol), there is no other option for a decent spec Android tab.Sucks.
All we really need is the Note 8 hardware on a larger screen, which samsung will release as the Tab S4 with a 10.5" screen next year (I wonder why ? ) , hopefully without any anymore bugs.

Yes I would wait but it seems that tablets have a longer lifecycle than 1 year and Samsung is more on a 1.5 year schedule.
If you want an android tablet now the tab s3 is the best in my opinion. Best and brightest screen, processor( for a tablet anyways) and comes with a spen. The wifi bug isn't that bad the tablet still gets great battery life. I set turn off wifi when screen is off in settings also. Try it for a while..if you don't like it return it.
