i have Omega v11 rom / desimlocked ( vodoo ) / free ( french operator )
i can send MMS but i cant receive MMS, any clue ?

some detail : i dont even have a notification about MMS, some ppl receive a notification and cant see the MMS but i have nothing when ppl send me MMS !!
Are you using stock message App or a third party app like gosms or handcent?

hi snowwhite007 i'm actually using GoSMS didnt think about it but gonna try the sotck application
Well,
I installed the SMS stock application ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1587408 ) from here.
the stock application wasnt working correctly cant send or receive any thing ( SMS or MMS )
the GoSMS application was crashing most of the times and had bug ( maybe beacose of a conflict between the 2 applications ? ) but i was able to send and receive MMS !!
anyway the application was too way crashy to be viable, then i uninstalled the stock SMS application and everything went back as usual, cant receive MMS.
i must admit that the unstability is maybe becose of my big amount of SMS ( i have more than 21 000 SMS ).
anyway i guess it's a problem from GoSMS, if somebody have another idea ?
The last maj of Omega 12 fix everything, just incase some ppl have the same problem.

ever since i flashed 2.1 world, i text fine, but when a message comes in as i send one or if i send a message while one is already sending, it will say it failed, without even queuing them, so i have to manually resend. its VERY annoying.
help? is there an updated conversations.apk or something?
I'm having the same problem too, and its very annoying when you have multiple conversations going on...
Of the 100 or so messages I've sent since first flashing to 2.1, I've had 2 messages do this to me (both shortly after I originally rooted last Monday). I was using Handcent at the time.
had the same problem. was also using handcent..so im not sure if it handcent or the new firmware
Is handecent the stock messaging app that came with the 2.1 rom?
Also when texts come in most of the time I have to scroll down to see the messages I received

I have the same issue on 2.1 world. It also happens when I try to send the same message to multiple people. Comes up with a failed notification for every recipent. Sometime it says failed and the recipient has actually received it. Happened before and after rooting. Hopefully there's a fix coming from a dev...

Hey guys somethings wrong with my aria, I don't receive text messages and my market apps don't update, but sometimes ill just get messages randomly but with like 12 of them at once! People can receive them from me but I don't receive....its annoying, also it will sometimes receive them after I reboot the phone. The reason I know that my phone is like this is cause my friends told me that I wasn't replying to them. So I borrowed an old iphone and used that for a week and got all my text messages just fine and had no problem :/ does anyone have a solution? And is this also happening to other people?

What rom are you on and what messaging app are you using?
Also what do you see under settings > accounts & sync

Are the two check boxes checked?
Im using cyanogen 6.1.1 with the gingerbread theme, and im using the built in messenger, yes the two boxes are checked lol any ideas?

I have this problem where my sms notifications show new messages, but they cannot be viewed. Default app is turned off, im using gosms. Tried them all same thing. Searched my folders cant find anything. Also every now and then I gang receive messages then it starts working again on its own. Please help thanks...

Now to be more exact...when i pull down the notification window it says "compose new message." But still can't view them yes ive searched the threads...yes ive tried deleted cache, clearing delvik cache, uninstalling apps, factory reset, donew it all any help please...thanks a bunch!

Well having not used gosms i cant be sure but it sound like an icompatability with gosms and the x10 android version
Have you tried for uninstalling gosms and using stock app to see if this helps

Hi, I'm having the same problem ! A sms notification of an old message which i deleted 2 months ago pops up often in all sms tools like handcent,gosms except sony default msg app ,,, When i click to open the notification it opens an empty msg... It annoys me, how to get rid of this ! Pls help me!!

I did a fresh install and it seemed to fix it. I cant receive texts sent from textplus however is it the apps fault? my default messaging is fixed though

I use Handcent SMS & I have verizon service. Sometimes it takes like 8 tries for my phone to finally send a text message.
& sending an MMS is just out.of the question now.. I cant send pics or anything anymore. Ive tried being on wifi, ive tried not being on wifi. Its so frustrating.
I dont know a whole lot about kernels & modems.. etc. But here is what my phone is on:
Android 4.4.2
Baseband: 1545VRUFNC5
Kernel: 3.4.0 [email protected]#1
Build: KOT49H.1545VRUFNC5
Anyone having issues with sending texts or MMS TOO,?? Any ideas of what I might be able to try to get it to work??

Stupid question probably, but do you still have the stock app installed? Have you checked the "use for all sms" setting in handcent?
I've ran into the same issue since going to 4.4.2 ... If wifi is enabled no mms will be delivered (regular sms seems fine). I've tried the safe mode trick which didn't work and neither did changing the others.xml or using Verizon APN settings.
Stock messaging, Handcent, textra and gosms... None of them seem to work without toggling wifi & resending.
Factory reset did work for 3-4 days but it's back to not working

Have you tried clearing data on messaging?

I finally had to remove Handcent from the phone. Reg app works now.
How do I clear the data on messaging?? & yes I still have the stock messaging app installed. & yes handscent is set to be used for all messages.
I cant send an MMS, with WiFi on or with it off..
I know that putting in the MMSC , PROXY & PORT settings may not help.. but I just wanna try anyways. So does anyone know what they are supposed to be?? It never hurts to try.. right??

Try uninstalling handscent. then go to stock messaging. hit home, then hold in home, long press on messaging, hit app info, then clear data.
see if MMS is working... and if it does you can try to reinstall handscent.
