Hello, I'm sorry for the newbie question. I did a search and did not find an answer, so please forgive me if I am at fault here.
I just flashed this rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737449 , and I was wondering (wandering?) if there was a way to keep this rom and still have the stock camera app.
I did not post this question in that thread because I can't yet, due to not enough posts here :$.

No problem
Unfortunately you can't use the stock camera app in this or other Rom's. It's a Samsung-App and it works only with Samsung Rom

Stock apps require some propriety files which are present in the framework..stock camera will require binary files from Samsung framework and hence it is not possible to install stock app on aosp jellybean roms..u will be able to do so when samsung releases its JB binaries..:thumbup:

Dont create double threads and theres no such thing as a better rom or anything like that you need to find one you like and using the search bar would answer all these quistions for you

Am I asking a stupid question the reason this thread is not responded to or is this issue discussed in another place? Please give me direction because I would like to use this Eclipse ROM on my Note.

It is not a stupid question at all. It does appear that the links are down. The reason no one answered may be due to no one using this rom or having a link for you. You may try contacting the dev directly by pm and see if he can shoot you a link. Or you may get lucky and someone here will have a copy of it to share

I have s duos still it is not rooted and it is out of warranty so I was thinking to root and get 4.4 or 4.3.I have not done any customization on it. As 4.0.4 now about get outdate and offical update of 4.1 is not released I am bored of its ui is also boring so if you give any good ui that would be bonus. Please give the direct download links of rom, rooting app, bootloader, ui and what is necessary. I am at the starter level so try to explain detail as i know very less of all these and if possible do it as early as possible because I already wasted my 2-3 days in search about the rom I could not find any proper site. I would be grateteful to u if u will do just that work for me.

I undterstood to root and installing cwm recovery. But i am confused about how to get 4.4 and the ui can u explain it here rather than giving another link. Please say me what is difference in this rom and which will give me nice ui and latest android.

If you only need ui you can always install a "launcher" from Google Play.
If you want also to have the latest android and its functions then you will need a ROM.
The only rom found about your phone is HyperX
If you have rooted and installed cwm recovery then you will install the ROM.
Each rom has individual instructions.You can take a look at HyperX thread to see the procedure of how to install the rom.

Search more for roms...I can't find anything else than the one I sent you :/.If you don't find then you will need to install CM if it is available for your phone or else you gotta leave it

I was trying to find a answer for my question but i didnt find anything which gave me 100% certainly. So which kernel is the best for my specificationa ?CM 11 android 4.4.2 galaxy s3 . the second question is - if i have installed cyanogenmod thru the cyanogen installer , have i unlpcked bootloader ? I know that this question can be little lame but i want to be 100 % sure

For your first question- I think that the newest boeffla 2.2beta1 is pretty good: http://boeffla.df-kunde.de/sgs3/boeffla-kernel-cm/cm11.0_download/Test/
The great part is that you can configure ANYTHING you want to your liking, using boeffla-configV2 from the playstore.

If you don't have a Verizon S3, then it is unlocked.

"Best" or "Recommend" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion,and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
Don't forget to make a nandroid before you start.

Hi guys. Could somebody please help me? I have a s3 i9305 rooted with nightly cm11.
I want better sound and after readibg a lot i found that the best is Siyah kernel.
But im totally noob in kernels.
Does this kernel works with cm11? Can i flash using cwm? Does it really boosts the sound?

well probably no one replies to you because you ask in the wrong section. this is i9300 q&a
you should rather move to i9305 q&a
anyway. syah kernel has been discontinued for a long time now, and does not support cm11
but I do not know which kernels work for i9305 so please ask in the correct section
