Dont create double threads and theres no such thing as a better rom or anything like that you need to find one you like and using the search bar would answer all these quistions for you

Gapps is short for Google Apps..

First step would be searching. Search xda and Google...you will find your answer. It's not hard to find.

Just use fw in ur region I think...I'm from indonesia n I used DXKPD...overall all of gb fw for ace is good..

i ever used KPH..bug in KPH i found is mobile data not stable...i think u can use many fw of gb...use fw that u like...kph,kpb,kpd,kw2,etc...

its because the thread you want to reply belongs to development..

I just flashed this rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737449 , and I was wondering (wandering?) if there was a way to keep this rom and still have the stock camera app.
I did not post this question in that thread because I can't yet, due to not enough posts here :$.

No problem
Unfortunately you can't use the stock camera app in this or other Rom's. It's a Samsung-App and it works only with Samsung Rom

Stock apps require some propriety files which are present in the framework..stock camera will require binary files from Samsung framework and hence it is not possible to install stock app on aosp jellybean roms..u will be able to do so when samsung releases its JB binaries..:thumbup:

Hi everybody ! I'm new here on the beggining i have to say that i am quite new in android community ( but i already know that android is the best mobile system )
I was trying to find a answer for my question but i didnt find anything which gave me 100% certainly. So which kernel is the best for my specificationa ?CM 11 android 4.4.2 galaxy s3 . the second question is - if i have installed cyanogenmod thru the cyanogen installer , have i unlpcked bootloader ? I know that this question can be little lame but i want to be 100 % sure

For your first question- I think that the newest boeffla 2.2beta1 is pretty good: http://boeffla.df-kunde.de/sgs3/boeffla-kernel-cm/cm11.0_download/Test/
The great part is that you can configure ANYTHING you want to your liking, using boeffla-configV2 from the playstore.

If you don't have a Verizon S3, then it is unlocked.

"Best" or "Recommend" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion,and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
Don't forget to make a nandroid before you start.

Hi guys. Could somebody please help me? I have a s3 i9305 rooted with nightly cm11.
I want better sound and after readibg a lot i found that the best is Siyah kernel.
But im totally noob in kernels.
Does this kernel works with cm11? Can i flash using cwm? Does it really boosts the sound?

well probably no one replies to you because you ask in the wrong section. this is i9300 q&a
you should rather move to i9305 q&a
anyway. syah kernel has been discontinued for a long time now, and does not support cm11
but I do not know which kernels work for i9305 so please ask in the correct section
