Yep...otherwise you won't be able to push the hacked exchange apps to system/app and change their permissions...

I'm looking for the tablet specific E-mail app.
I would also love a stock email app with security bypassed for exchange.
Is this is the reason I can't send only some of my emails ?
If I try to Replay or to Forward emails - they "stuck" in Outgoing folder.
But if I compose a new massage or replay a massage without quoting the original text - the massage is being sent.
It drives me crazy!

No, that has nothing to do with exchange security. This thread is about trying to surpress the server policy which mandates a pincode to unlock the phone every time you resume it from sleep.

I can't for the life of me remember which forum it was in- possibly the Galaxy S2 forum

Is there any mod available for Email app which can bypass the security policy enforced by the exchange server on a corporate email account(like locking the screen with a pin/password) ??
it is very annoying to lock my beast with a password for this purpose...does any know about any mod or trick by which it can be bypassed??
Thanks!
I believe that CheckROM has this hack incorporated into it.

so can I simply extract and place the email.apk in system/app with required permission?

Has anyone been able to bypass the security requirement yet?

Why would you need to do that? Besides, all the settings are on the server side, so no app could bypass that.
Are you looking for an exchange app that will automatically log you in? I use Enhanced Email app and it automatically logs in, and delivers push email, and I can reply without any password.

On my old Skyrocket someone had set up a patch that would make your device look like it had a password to the exchange server but in fact you were able to disable the password on the device without any warnings.
If that's true then:
1. I want a copy of that patch to look at.
And
2. That's a mighty big security hole if true.

Is there a way I can get my phone to prompt me for which email client I want to use when clicking an email link? Under settings in App Associations I have it set to the built in email.apk, however I can only change it to Gmail, I want to clear it completely so it will ask me. Right now I have to cut the email address and paste it into Gmail if that's what I want to use. Is there an app that can do this?
Settings > apps > stock email app > clear defaults

Thanks for the response, unfortunately I tried that already and it just goes right back, I believe because it's set under App Associations.

I've never heard of a settings section for app associations. Which ROM are you on?

I've hardly had either installed. Looks like you should be able to set it to Gmail just fine, though I think I remember reading recently that app associations were screwed up on sense 4+.You could always disable the stock email app in settings as well.

I use the stock email app for my work Exchange account and Gmail for my personal email. I often work from my phone so I would like to find a way to have my phone prompt me for which account I would like to send from everytime I click an email address or mailto link. I have been trying to look for an app that can do it but haven't had any luck. Maybe Tasker could do it?

I don't think tasker has that ability. Have you checked the viper ROM thread to see if anyone else had the same problem?
Hi, I am using Omni rom and it's great, fast and stable.
The only one big big problem for me is I cant create an exchange account.
Someone knows when will be fixed?
There is a workarround?

To setup a exchange mail account, you must go to "Main Settings -> accounts. There you can choice add account, and choice the one for exchange.
I use enhanced email. The is a cost for it, but it's worth every penny, specially if you want to use several accounts

After more tryings the problem was very stupid: in android 4.3 the wizard detect automatically the correct server name. In KK don't, I need to change it manually. It wasn't the kk exchange mail issue.
Thanks for your answers! :good:
