Microsoft Exchange Server password bypass - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

Has anyone been able to bypass the security requirement yet?

Why would you need to do that? Besides, all the settings are on the server side, so no app could bypass that.
Are you looking for an exchange app that will automatically log you in? I use Enhanced Email app and it automatically logs in, and delivers push email, and I can reply without any password.

On my old Skyrocket someone had set up a patch that would make your device look like it had a password to the exchange server but in fact you were able to disable the password on the device without any warnings.

If that's true then:
1. I want a copy of that patch to look at.
And
2. That's a mighty big security hole if true.

its a 2.2 feature for apps that need administrative rights on your device.
for example some companies exchange email system requires a pin code to be put in to unlock the device, this allows them to force a pin code as well as wipe the phone remotely should the need arise.
this feature is mostly for company phones, or for people that check their company email on their phones.
usually a larger company will have you sign something before giving you the right to access your work exchange email, this usually states in the fine print that they will wipe your phone upon termination, and device administration is how this is accomplished.
for more info look here to see what Google themselves say about the feature.
Ahhhh I underunderstand! Thanks

Email sync

Trying to set gmail account using email app instead of gmail app. Setting it up using exchange. Have always used m.google.com. I've done this time and time again on my captivate. But all I get is is periodic pop UPS saying unable to connect to server. Anyone else get this figured out? Email and password are correct. Thanks

Basically the Exchange Administrator can enforce security policies on the device, e.g. you must have a password or pin set. Not everyone wants to play that way.
Sometimes you can persuade the Administrator to relax that policy, but if it is a work account, that may not be possible. If you can bypass, therefore, everyone is happy.

deleted emails keep coming back.

AT&T Galaxy Note.
Deleted emails from one of my outlook.com accounts keep coming back.
I've read them, deleted them from phone and desktop but they keep coming back--not new ones either, the same 20 or so emails.
I have the same email on other devices but only on the note do they keep coming back.
Any suggestions?
thnx
Is there a setting for deleting the email off the server when you delete it from the phone?
The Outlook App uses POP and not IMAP. They do not get deleted from the server unless you are using IMAP. So when you delete them it is only locally and they download again when the device syncs. You will have to delete them on the server to stop them from appearing when the app sync's.

If that were so then Id have the same problem on all 3 devices as all 3 have that email account. only on the Note do they keep coming back after I delete them.
I use profimail and IMAP. There is an option to delete email on server when deleted on phone. It works just fine. This is not dependant on your phone/ROM.
The reason for your problems is not your Note.

Not quite. The issue comes in when it re-syncs. It grabs all of the mail and since it doesn't delete from the server cause it is POP and not IMAP, they download again. The other devices are not grabbing all mail, the note is. Change or settings to only get new mail and not all mail.
You will see that everything I have said about POP and iMAP are true when you read about how they operate via Google. The device is setup different.

You just said you use IMAP and delete the email from the server. You do not have the same issue cause you are not using the same setup. Yes it is the phone. Again POP does not delete email from the server and if the app is set to sync all mail from a certain time frame it will download the mail again.
Since you are using IMAP and deleting from the server you do not have this issue. Use the Outlook App which is POP, set it to sync all mail for the past 30 days and see if the results will be the same. Bet you will see deleted emails comes back.
So yes it is the device and the app used with how it is setup.

thank you everyone for your help. I think the problem was with the emails still being on the server and pushed to my device. I just deleted them from the server side and now they are gone.
thnx
I hit the thanks button for all you guys.

Google Apps Device Policy Anyone Using It?

Anyone Using It? As I Have To Use It To Add My Campany Email Account Thats Not The Issue The Issue Is Its Necessary If You Use The "Google Apps Device Policy App" You Have To Add Password Which I Dont Want To As I Like Normal Swipe Lockscreen Please Suggest Me Can I Enable It Without The Password Or Any Other Alternatives
i figured it out
the only way to make it work without password is to decrypt your device
Gawd. I would dearly recommend you to use encryption and strong authentication wherever possible.
Your company would definitely not be happy with an unencrypted phone with no security accessing their email servers.
That's just a recipe for disaster honestly! What if you lose your phone?

As long as the missing phone was noticed immediately.....
Would be similar to having a corporate laptop with no passwords and such IMO.

I take it this is for exchange access? Use Exchained on the app store. It removes all policy requirements. I've used it for a year or more with no issues. My companies polices where a pain in my ass too...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.biko.exchained
Surely the best solution is to use Secure Folder for work related stuff?
