Directions:
* I recommend a full wipe but only if its your first time using JustinBean Aroma.

* Open up the JustinBean aroma file within cwm.
* Wipe Cache within the JustinBean aroma application. (If you are using a new kernel select option three wipe cache and kernel)
* Install what you want
* Finish running installer then you have the option to reboot or go back to clockwork mod.
* Installer will wait 30 sec before rebooting this is to ensure that everything is installed fully.
* Enjoy and please don't forget to use the thank you button.
This is a custom installer that will allow you the user to choose which converted applications you would like to install. The choice now is completely up to you you can pick one to all none it's completely your choice. This is a completely touch process where you touch the screen to choose which you would like to install. You can install the latest launchers you can also install app add-ons such as ES file explorer.
Note:
If you are experiencing touch screen issues please use your volume up and down keys as well as the power button to select your options. Since this is a universal app there is only so much one can do to make it universal for all. You may also press your menu button when inside of the installer for a touch screen config for the app (though this feature is still not guaranteed to work). You will be able to launch my file manager directly from the application while inside clockwork mod this is for advanced users only.

OK, so not to be a ****, but I knew I seen this somewhere else and I'm pretty sure you hot linked all his files and did NOT do as he asked and linked BACK TO HIS THREAD SO HE COULD GET THE PROPER THANKS HE DESERVED! Instead, multiple people have thanked you, for what? For doing exactly what the OP of the hard work done here simply asked NOT to do... of course. I hate disrespectful people, seriously!
BTW, here is the link to one (of at least a few) of the Original Threads where these Inverted Gapps come from that the OP in this thread FAILED to give...

Posting another's work like this is a violation of XDA rules. This could easily been put in a link in the Fixes thread or in another thread. OR if you really wanted to create a thread, you could have posted some screen shots with links to his thread, not his files. Very uncool, as to do theme work like that takes a LONG time, and to not get the proper credit is messed up.

What is it? Okay, well kenjesse put it best with this description : " Pdroid is an app that lets you modify permissions app by app with out breaking them. You also have the option of "spoofing" the permissions by sending randomly generate data rather than your phones actual sim, meid, phone #, etc.
As the app does not need to run constantly in the back ground it has virtually no impact on battery.

On the next page of this thread I have posted the patch zip necessary to install the pdroid app on CM7 for DX2 only!!! I will make patch zips for other roms upon request but it can be done easily by following kenjesse's instructions below. After flashing the zip just download and install pdroid from the play store ......viola! Thanks for stopping by and happy flashing!
Looks like a pretty cool program. I've read other post that reference making changes like this, always wondered how. Wonder if this is one way, I'd assume there are other ways too.

Just got done installing this and it seems to be working great. I'm running CM7 with no special tweaks other than Moon Shadows wifi fix, following instructions from op here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1357056
this is what I did:
1. DL Pdroid Patcher zip to PC (Win7 in my case)
2. Extract Pdroid Patcher exe file and run
3. Browse to update-cm-7.2.0.-RCO-daytona-KANG-public-beta1.zip (cm7 ROM) and select.
4. Click "Patch" (program takes about 2 minutes to create required patch zip file as well as restore file if you choose to uninstall Pdroid later)
5. copy the 2 created zip files (PDroid-v1.31-update-cm-7.2.0-RCO-daytona-KANG-public-beta1.zip & PDroid-RESTORE-update-cm-7.2.0-RCO-daytona-KANG-public-beta1.zip) to your external SD Card
6. Boot in our BSR BACKUP...BACKUP DO A NANDROID BACKUP!!!!
7. Flash the PDroid zip file
8. I did not wipe anything as it is not stated to do so in the OP install instruction... I did flash cm7 reRecovery before I rebooted just to be safe.
9. Reboot your phone, go to market and install Pdroid.
I tested by removing several permissions for my Fox News app which doing thru cm7 causes the app to break, using PDroid the app still worked. Not sure how to test beyond that.
I did notice that the reboot stayed on the cm7 animation for a while before the phone came back up as if a dalvik wipe had been done.
Hope this helps and if you break it it's your fault not mine and remember...BACKUP

Quick update... there is a setting in the app to display anytime an app request access to private data. With this turned on it shows access being denied to my Fox News app and the app runs fine. This really is an awesome app.

He probably should update the op title. Pdroid is an app that lets you modify permissions app by app with out breaking them. You also have the option of "spoofing" the permissions by sending randomly generate data rather than your phones actual sim, meid, phone #, etc.
As the app dose not need to run constantly in the back ground it has virtually no impact on battery.
I highly recommend it, for what that is worth. Check it out at:

Beautifully put. Hey, I would update the op title but it's not letting me from the mobile app. I will later when I'm on my laptop.
Hey, how did you spoof the permissions? Don't see that option within the settings. I just see symbols without descriptions (gear, bar graph, check, ect...)?
Just to add, I don't know if it's just in my head or not but I feel like my phone is moving way faster After changing all the permissions that I did.
........and last, I'm going to post the patch zip file for cm7 dx2 when I get home so all anyone needs to do is flash it and download pdroid from the market (Google play (stupid name)....whatever). Okay all done.
Sent from my MB870 using XDA
Settings options are:
Check = allow
Graph = random spoof
Gear= set the spoof value
Slashed Circle= block
And then there is a check box in the top right corner to enable notifications for just that app.

Okay, here are the zips. Just flash the first of the 2 zips in CM7 recovery and then install the Pdroid app. The second zip is just to restore. I'm not responsible if you break your phone...blah blah blah.....THIS IS ONLY FOR CM7DX2 (but if anyone wants I will make zips for any rom on dx2, just ask.)!

Thanks for the help Kenjesse!
So please help me clarify what setting should I set the apps to? Also do I need to do them one at a time or can I do it by batch?
Okay, what I have been doing is blocking ALL permissions for any given app and then trying to run it. I then look for any error messages and go back and enable only those specific permissions to allow the app to function properly. You'll get a system once you use it a bit. .....and unfortunately there is no batch function. It is a very cool app though once you play with it and definitely enable the function where you can see it blocking and granting permissions. It's pretty cool!
........and someone please tell me how to change the title of this post please

Flashing The update zip makes the required changes for the app Pdroid that you get from the market to run properly with the cm7 ROM. IT WILL ONLY WORK IF YOU ARE ON CM7. If you later uninstall Pdroid you flash the restore zip to remove the changes made by the update zip.
I believe it is done this way so the app can work without root permission and therefore doesn't have to run in the background....I could be wrong though and as with any mod you should go to the linked thread above and research it for yourself.

Update,
After hearing what some people said, should I delete this zip file and have a mod delete this post or do any of you think it is useful?
So I decided that everytime I installed Gapps for cm or anything else that doesn't include it that the installer for the latest Gapps should have gmail too.
Since it doesn't and for some reason it's not available in the play store I would just add it to the package.
And it works!
So if this helps anyone who needs it!

What about when you search on the webpage and not the app ?
Does it give you the option to install it to your device when signed in ?
Yes I can. However, I hope this would help people who dont want to search for it. I love Gmail and so I just added it with that zip file.
Are people gonna have an issue with this?
I can't see why they would.. I was just curious that's all.
How about I make one that has all the Google services that way you don't have to search for it all the time?
With non stock based ROMs, you have to flash GApps. That's mainly because Google requested the AOSP teams to not install the GApps as default because of the licensing. Google (or someone) provides the gapps zip. You can find it on Goo Manager which you can download in the Play Store.

Exactly, I've had this for a day or so, and voice search isn't working. But they're aware of that issue, and attempting to fix it. OP should mention that voice doesn't work.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using xda app-developers app
Voice-to-text will not work without kernel support or a hack forcing the app to use the existing Google Speech-to-text implementation. Either direction will take an obscene amount of time, i'd imagine. Don't wait up...
Why is this sinking down the app list?! People need to see this!
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
After using for several days, one issue I've noticed (besides voice search not working), is that the "cards" do not automagically "appear" on my phone. Rather, to view any card, I have to manually open the app. Once there I see a relevant card, such as the weather, or the length of my commute to work when the phone figures it's time for me to go to work. But my understanding is that Google Now, working properly, is supposed to make these cards "pop up" on your phone, rather than you having to manually open the app.
tks,trying...

Yes. Search for mikeyxda07. I believe that's the file. One of the xda devs (mike) has one up and running. Also, I think Shostock has it in his ROM. Why not just switch to JB and install it with one of the various Aroma gapps installers? Works well.

Also, multi select works for me. the first time i did it it gave me an error saying conection timed out then i did a single delete and the others disapeared that i tried before as well. It doesnt jump back to the begining of the list when i press back from previewing and application anymore either :good:

How do you multi-select to remove several unwanted apps at once? I can only delete them 1 by 1 and the annoying thing after you remove an unwanted app it goes back to the top of the list. Thanks.
Edit: Figured it out
When i did it i just held down on the app i wanted to start with then selected others after, its like multi selecting in the gallery. the delete button is the circle with the line through it at the top right.

Awesome! Congrats! Haven't even looked at the Rom yet but something you may want to learn is adding the quick settings to the drop down menu. That was one yor my favorite features on my vivid. Half of the tab was notifications other half you could quickly change Wi-Fi bt plane mode etc.
Again welcome to the kitchen!

It's fantastic, thanks man.
"AOSP like" meaning it still has sense somehow? The "about" screenshot makes it seem like sense still exists in some capacity on the phone, but perhaps that's just where we're at ROM-wise right now. I suppose I can answer my own darn question by flashing this tomorrow.

It is based off the original ROM. I removed many of the sense files The framework still has all the Sense info. So yeah. The launcher is what gives it the AOSP look style. Try it out! I hope yot like it!
Found a small bug or issue ..I can send text just fine but I can't attach a mms file from my gallery. When I click on gallery it goes nowhere..I can only attach a picture if I take it from the messaging app. Hope this made sense..
running this now, i deleted the google search widget and there was no "X" symbol to delete but it seems it only happened once, looking for other issues, will report later if i find more...
Also, I cannot click on any hyperlink in the messaging app. Anytime I do the app crashes. I've tried clicking on hyperlinks in emails and they work just fine..only issue is with the messaging app as of now.

I forgot to say thank you for all your work ...and so fast ..didn't you just get the att one x plus?
My stock Rom I was using had less sense features and it was running fine... FYI in case you want to make it slimmer, you can also try backing up some features just in case you're not sure what can or can't be removed and car app and setup are useless

Downloading once I get home. Can't wait to flash something on this device!

If I remember correctly, hyperlinks cant be opened in a message. That happens on my Amaze and since the unlock code isn't out for the phone, I can't personally use it yet.
Yes, I just got it on Saturday

Hope you like this one!
Media link, car GPS, checkin service, and car app and setup app... For no simple way to avoid the unlock ring is to put no lock screen and use a password... I had a few more uninstalled but didn't get around to testing them...
Also Google voice search isn't working, idk if you uninstalled it but its not in the drawer and the widgets don't work but the play store shows it's installed

I did remove Google Voice Search. There may have been something with it or that I may have missed if it shows it is installed. Uninstall it and reinstall it from the market. That should work for you. Remember, this is supposed to be at the bare minimum.
Do you guys like the bootanimation? It looks nice on this phone!
Boot animation is nice, but this phone needs voice search, it doesn't let you do anything on the store. Zero options
... It just says installed

I'll throw it back in. I'm going to set up Ubuntu on my other laptop so I can dig deeper into this. I'll try and have a new build up tonight!
