I am posting this on behalf of my colleague who owns a SGS-3. He is unable to use Google services (like gtalk, gmail, currents while he is connected to mobile 2G/3G network. But everything works fine when he is connected to Wifi network. The internet connectivity in 2G/3G through mobile data works fine as he can browse the net, open other applications that use internet without any issues. Has anyone faced the same issue and can give a workaround for this?

Sometimes i receive a different error.
"this could be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. Please try again when connected to a mobile network, or connect to a wi-fi network. If the problem continues, call customer care."
However data services are enabled, as wifi or 3G, internet etc all work.
thx.
I just read on a web site that fu**ed Turkish Telekom has banned some of Google servers (google translate, maps etc). That means, i have to wait until fu**ed Turkish Telekom has solved this issue.

A friend of mine has just purchased anew Galaxy S III and she's encountered a rather weird issue: some apps can't seem to access her mobile internet connection.
When she's on wireless everything works perfectly, but no mobile internet only some apps (like the browser) manage to connect to the internet, while others (like the mail client or WhatsApp) don't.
Any idea what might be causing this?

Hi LordBlades,
When you say briwser works on mobile data, are you sure your browser is not showing pages from cache only? Did you check your mobile data settings from your provider and is your mobile data enabled in settings?
And is your friend still working with stock or did she root or flash her phone before that issue?
I just want to clarify your issue

Also check in Settings --> Data Usage if she didn't set a mobile data limit.

Problem solved:victory:
Apparently there were 2 APNs set up by the provider and one only allows browser to work. Switched to the other one and everything works fine.

Great !
I have searched the Internet for any solutions for this problem. Google Playstore can't connect to the internet (it says no connection). Wifi connection is OK. I can browse the web and the apps (that needs internet connection) works fine. The wifi notification icon is color gray (I know that it must be blue if there is internet connection). I've tried cleaning Playstore's cache, re-install the PlayStore, checked the system date &a time, and reseting the tablet, still the problem exist.
I don't think that the PlayStore caused the problem.
Is there any other solutions other than the ones mentioned above. Do I need to re-install a driver or something? Can re-installing/installing a firmware fix this?
My tablet: SoftwinerEvb; Android 4.0.4. (a not so well known firmware)
Do you have any deactivated applications? It might help to reactivate some of them.

None. I can't remember that Ia deactivated some.
I've installed CyanogenMod 10 (NIGHTLY) in my Sony Xperia Ray (ST18i). Everything works fine except Mobile Data.
When I turn Mobile Data on, this error message appears for few seconds:
"Unable to resolve host "get.cm". No address associated with hostname".
At the same time, on the status bar, i can see 3G and then H connection icon, before they both disappear. So only Wifi connection works. My APN seems correctly configured.
I've also tried different basebands (85 and 86), but no results.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Thanks to all in advance, and sorry for my poor english

I think it is some issue with your network and/or simcard.
Have you tried using this sim in some other phone?
If this problem does not exist on other devices, you might need to reflash the ROM after clearing the data & cache.

Mobile data does not work with the same simcard in other devices. So this problem has to be related to my simcard and/or network. Thank you for this suggestion.
