MIUI for rezound - HTC Rezound

Now with aosp possible I wanted to see if anyone is going to make an aosp miui, I see there is miui but it has sense framework in it. I was looking into building it myself but it will take me quite a bit of time and just wanted to see if anyone else is building miui for the resound?

Questions should go In the Q&A section

be patient. siul will probably get it going again once kernel source comes.

Going to start working on it as soon as I get Ubuntu dual booting.

Now that we have perm. root any chance of MIUI port

Im not sure if this is in the right place but i was just curious if anybody had any idea if there were any devs that would look into porting MIUI to the evo3d.
I would be willing to donate some decent money for this project as im sure others would be.
I'm pretty sure you will see a port of it

CM7 and MIUI for Photon

Was wondering since the kernel source was out on the photo, what else do we need to get CM7 and MIUI working on the phone besides unlocking the bootloader? I might start working on trying to figure it out to make a romantic on this.

Well, mainly we need Dev's that are interested in porting to the Photon.
Well if youre planning on porting cm7 may aswell team up with rine. And as far as miui..when cm7 is functional. Miui wont be a problem to port over.

Request for AOKP on Prime

So I posted this on the AOKP forums and was told someone would need to port and maintain the ROM. If so then we get an AOKP version...so any of our talented Devs wanna give it a shot? I would but I'm not a Dev/Coder so I wouldnt get far lol...I'm sure I'm not the only one that would love AOKP, I know CM9 is being built...but its far from finished if you've tried it then you know what I mean...So how about it Devs?

Not a dev either, but have to second this. AOKP is a very fine ROM and would be a great addition to the TFP.
when CM is here I believe AOKP is very possible, if it is wanted I'm sure someone will port it;-)

Someone want to enlighten the lazy as to what the AOKP ROM looks like? Maybe a link?

Here is a Link but no idea what it offers..
AOKP ROM is amazing.
I had a Droid Incredible before and was a Avid CM7 user. Never liked anything but CM7...
Then I got the GNex and since CM9 isn't really out yet, I had to settle, or so I thought.
AOKP has more features than you could ever imagine. Roman and the other devs do a great job of adding features. They also are active in the forums so if you have a feature request, they normally will add it if possible.
That said, I am not sure I will switch to CM9 when it is officially released for the GNex.
It is based off of the CM9 source, but he modifies it like crazy. Very stable on the GNex.
Yeah, I'm waiting with baited breath for AOKP for my prime. It was ported for my OG EVO & was the only alpha build i didn't ditch within a day in the whole time i've owned the phone. Roman is really on the cutting edge of truly original & helpful tweaks. Shoot, I was only savvy enough to be able to use maybe 2/3 of what he had in there. A power user's wet dream. Plus pink unicorns dripping with butter? C'mon! (You'll just have to check it out if this doesn't make sense)
Giefmeaokp! Aokp would be sweet. I'm refreshing the dev forum every 5 secs waiting for custom roms n kernels to pop up!

Just for the record, AOKP is NOT based off the CM9 source. Both are based off the AOSP main source tree. Certain features might be incorporated from one to the other, but that is simply the beauty and benefit of open source.
Roman is definitely following his own vision with AOKP and the results are impressive.
So word is if someone is willing to "maintain" AOKP on the TP it is likely we can get it ported.
I have no idea what that means, but I think it means this:
-Maintaining Thread
-Building and testing new builds
-Bug Fixes
I have little to no idea how to do this, so if anyone is capable then we might be able to get AOKP.

I am going to start working on this once I unlock my bootloader, OR f I can get some very dedicated testers I can start right now
I'd be interested in this. More features/tweaks is the kinda stuff I like

Ubuntu player?

Ubuntu phone ROMs are available for Nexus devices, and from what little I've read, if you can install CM10 you can install Ubuntu. I know we have some CM10 projects, but is anyone interested in trying to get Ubuntu phone to run on a Player?

I dont have a linux system currently or any dev experience at all (other than making a "hello world" app)lol but im extremely interested in this project, im at least up for testing if necessary

It is definitely possible however it hasn't been fully released yet, it would be quite difficult to port it at this stage.

Just to give you guys a heads up.
The Ubuntu touch Dev preview is just a preview. Hardly anything works and it's just not made to be used right now. So I don't think the D's devs would waste their time on this.

Yeah, I noticed that when I went back to the site for a closer look. Still, glad to see I'm not the only one interested.

[Q] Possible to port PA over? I'd love to try!

Hey guys, I have no experience in porting ROMs so bear with me here. Firstly, would it be possible for me to port PA from the Nexus 5 over to the Xperia Z2? I am running stock at the moment (rooted/LB but will be open to unlocking) on the Z2. If so, should I just follow this guide? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908008 . If it is not possible, could someone please briefly explain in layman terms as to why it isn't? If it isn't possible it was worth a shot asking anyway!
I don't have the patience to wait for a port sometime in the summer when Sony finally decides to release the phone in America and if I can make a contribution by porting over an awesome ROM and learning something then that would be great! I'm not looking to change PA or add features etc. Just a port built directly from their source.
Thanks in advance for any help! :highfive:
I heard that someone is waiting for stable releases of official CM11 to port
I also heard that we may posibly get official as soon as CM11 becomes stable
Id say wait a tiny bit

Thanks for replying! After I posted this thread, I looked at some of the CM threads and they all have camera/touchscreen problems so you're probably right, I'll wait it out a little while longer. Although that itch to flash the new PA release is becoming unbearable!

I may actually try to just do a PA port with one of the CM11 nightlies for personal use to see if I can even do it for a start :fingers-crossed: if things work out and there isn't a port when CM is a little more stable, I will see if I can port it over. It'll be the first time I'll be doing anything like this and I'd love to contribute to the Z2 in some way so it'll be great practice for me!
