I have tried to look all over and find a method but no matter what happens I still trip the flash counter when unrooting.
I need to return for warranty and I need it unrooted. If anyone can help me out, I will rape the thank button for you

Easiest way is unlock bootloader and flash custom kernel. Via flashtoolas the custom kernels are prerooted. no need to downgrade

Man, rooting with locked bl is also simple.
Plus, Unlocking bl is not the best and safe way to root.
You shouldn't advice anyone to unlock bl, it is a personal choice.
Beside The user must understand the consequences.
you won't be happy if someone blamed you for messing up his device.
Hope you understand this

Okay, so I bought a Note 2 that was rooted and unlocked. It's running CleanRom 4.8 with TWRP recovery. Its baseband is I605VRALL4. I have downloaded everything I think I need to return it back to stock. I have Odin3 v3.07, Kies, and I have the pit file downloaded. I downloaded the alternate restore for VRALJRB like droidstyle said to. My problem is this. Odin does not see this file at all. It will see the pit file, but when I open PDA, it can't find the alternate restore file. I downloaded the original file, and Odin sees it just fine. Here's my question. If I try to flash the original file instead of the alternate restore file, will it brick my device or will it flash it just fine but lock the bootloader? I don't mind having a locked bootloader.
Use 7 zip and extract it first

Also if you want a locked bootloader then you can flash the original stock Image.

Ok thanks. That's where I was getting hung up on. The only difference between the 2 files, is one has a locked bootloader and the other one doesn't correct?

You may have to refresh to cricket.

Because when u go back to straight stock it replaces the info that you flashed to the phone. When I wanted to come back from page plus I just did a rsd and that fixed the issue I had.

I have a gs4 and want to put carbon rom on it, I have the latest version of everything to install but I keep running into the same issue.
I cannot get TWRP or Clockwork mod to work, all it does it break my recovery mode and I have to go to the samsung guy at bestbuy to flash it.
It is rooted.
Any alternative ways would be fine too, I just want to run carbon and need to fix it soon.
Thanks.

Can you link a tutorial for using Odin to flash the Rom.
I used Odin to flash the CWM (I tried with TWRP also) and the app itself.

So I found out the problem, 4.4.4 does not support custom recoveries, I will revert to 4.4.2 and try it out.
Kk bro try that again:thumbup:
