Works fine for me.
Under WidgetLocker settings, there is an entry for "Unread Counts". I turned that on and enabled TeslaUnread. From there I went to the "TeslaUnread Settings" and checked SMS, MissedCalls, and Gmail. (They might have been checked by default; in any case, check the ones you want to use.)
Then I put the icon for the respective apps on my WidgetLocker screen.
Hope that helps. If not, let me know more specifics and I'll try to help.

Long press on the WL tool (edit) screen then application. That'll give you the icon just like on your homescreen.

Hm, where in the app list can be found widgetlocker "notification bubble"? All I see is just app icon, but that don't give you missed calls/SMS count on lockscreen.
I also looked in shortcuts/widgets....but can't find Tesla notifications anywhere.
Of course I set Tesla unread as default under Unread counts in WL.
EDIT: Ok, I found... I realised that main app (SMS, phone, etc) get a badge.

wrong app
Hi! So I've bought Nova launcher and installed Tesla unread. It's cool, but tesla puts missed calls counter on "Contacts" app icon, not on "Phone". It's not that bad, but still makes me fill uncomfortable. Is there way to fix it?

i know launcher pro does this but when you open up an app (like handscent sms) it shows up again.
is there any app or anything to remove the notification bar universally?
I use the zeam launcher. That has an option that almost always hides it. Hope that helps.

I dont know of a way to do it in apps, but if you want it gone on your lockscreen as well, I use Widget Locker to accomplish this as well as place a bunch of widgets Im always using right on my lockscreen

damn, i guess our phones just aren't meant to not have the not. bar.
only reason i'd like to have it gone is so I can further depend on widgets, just for the hell of it.
zeam launcher does it for me all the time once i hide it its gone in any app i open
hi, i am just wondering if there is any app or themes that allow iphone like SMS previews on the lockscreen?
i dont just want to see 1 or 2 new messages i like seeing the sms previews
also if there is also a lock screen theme that can show facebook notifications that would be great to... thank you.
Take a look at widgetlocker.
It's a lockscreen that lets you put widgets or virtually anything on the lockscreen.
It's awesome actually and has many many options.

Thanks ... It helped with some Other Customizations for me
But its Paid version so might not be good for everybody ...
Do you know any other way ???
SMS preview "pop up" is available on many other messaging applications.
Go and handscent do this.
Sent from the valley of the shadows....
Yeah mate,Go SMS is worth it for pop-up sms
Go SMS is good for popups, but super bloated as an app. If you like that, go for it.

Hello everyone,
Is there any way to see the popup before unlocking but without the screen going on? In other words, I do not want the lockscreen to be on after I send my SMS reply. Just a black screen. I have tried Go SMS and Handscent.
Thanks

What? You mean like the notifications going on the lock screen without lighting up the screen?

What I mean is, after my popup comes up and I send my reply, the lockscreen is there. Is there a way not to light up the lockscreen?
I believe chomp sms has something close to this with some configuration.

I use the stock sms with an app called SMS Popup. It works awesome. It's very customizable. Give it a shot, I think you'll like it.

But the thing with SMS popup is that it gives you multiple popups of the same message
If anyone is still looking for a reliable popup app...try Glowfly. I know its a weird name but trust me its a good app. So far...no multiple popups and better than SMS popup
In settings, I have auto add widget unchecked but every time I download a program, it adds a icon to my desktop. Does this happen to anyone else?
Thanks.
The icon isn't a widget. I don't think there is a setting anymore for not adding the icon

Though this would make logical sense, it is incorrect. The play store considers icons to be widgets. On my nexus, for example, unticking that box stops icons from being auto-added. Seems to be a bug. Alternatively, this could be something coded into touchwiz, to always add new apps to the homescreen.

Happens to me and drives me bonkers!
If you uncheck auto-add it won't add unless your launcher(like nova) also has it's own settings for auto-adding. Nova's settings have a section called new which also has an auto add feature.
This feature is the single most annoying feature in all of android IMO.

Damn I feel stupid; my Nova launcher prime did in fact have that setting enabled. Thanks for saving me future headaches.
Been searching all over in the settings to be able to change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Anybody know where to do this for the lockscreen?

Maybe tapping on the widget with the weather on the home screen and going into the settings in that app

You might want to take a second look. It's not a global setting, but controlled by the app. So open the app that the widget is linked to and look in the settings menu for that app.
In particular, if you are using the default accuweather app, that is indeed where the setting resides. You may also want to recreate the widget to speed up the change i.e. don't expect that the change will always be reflected instantaneously.
.
OK thanks, I figured it's tied to a certain weather app. Will keep looking. Here is a pic of my lockscreen,
Sent from my SM-G900T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
That appears to be the Accuweather app. From memory.. tap or double tap on the time or temperature on the home screen to open the full page Accuweather.. then click on the menu icon there (3 dots) to get into the app's settings dialog. Then look for the C/F or metric /Imperial toggle.
.
Hmm, Not sure where that app is, I thought I had it frozen in TB. I've only got one weather app installed right now.

That one then. Whatever it is.
.
I froze it and restarted the phone. It did get rid of it so I know that's it, however when unfrozen there is no actual app anywhere to configure.
*Edit it doesn't come back now after unfreeze and rebooting. Oh well no big deal. The weather app I do have and use is Weather & Clock Widget.

Stand alone widgets are less common.. and will be configured from the widget itself instead of a main app then.

The reason his app settings are not showing when he taps the the temp..
Is probably because he has the
Unified Daemon frozen in TB too.
I learned it the hard way from freezing it..

Here is what my lock and home screen looks like..
Here is a link to my 2 apks if you want to try them..put them in system/app ...just rename yours to .bak and you can switch back if doesn't work but should as that's all I changed..then restart phone and replace the original weather widget and make it 100 percent transparent.
Tap on the Temp on the home screen takes you to the settings.

*edit, those worked! I didn't have accuweather in system/app, though the weatherdaemon was. Its all working now, thanks a lot for your help!

I am new and this may just be an old thread that has been resolved.
I went through the entire thread and didn't see a suitable reply.
On my newly acquired Galaxy 5S, I wanted to do the same; change from C to F.
First went through the Settings App and didn't see anything that would make the change.
Sometimes things are very simple. And this was something I probably over-thought.
What I did:
Unlocked the screen, and there's the "Weather App" loaded right on the main screen at the very top of the screen.
I tapped the "Weather App" box, which brought the "Weather App" full screen.
I then tapped the three vertical dots, flush right top on the screen. This brought up four options (black text on white background).
They are from top to bottom, 'Weather map', 'More', 'Settings' and 'Report wrong city name'.
Tap on "Settings":
Then, under "General", the first settings option is "Unit".
Tap "Unit", then tap the radio button "°F" to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit.
Unless you want to continue making additional changes, such as 'Refresh', 'Location' or 'Notifications...' you are done.
There is no "Save" button. The changes that have been made I believe take effect immediately.
All you have to do is back out and get back to the main screen by pressing the Home button to get back to business.
Hope that helps someone, someplace.
Best,
Robert
Hallelujah, I have figured it out. Press on the widget on the lock screen. Select change widget. Choose Accuweather (yes, it does not appear in your apps management list) A whole page opens up with the Accuweather forecast AND in the top right corner (at least on mine) (Note 4) you get the three dots indicating a menu. Press the dots and holy cow the settings for accuweather come up. And there you will see the temperature change option. Right at the top. Hope this helps.
