Hi,
I'm maybe new here, but I've made a big project in a Dutch forum.
I've made 'FerhatMod V2.1'. It is running on Android 4.0.3 and I used the kernel of Wayland. The rest is of me!
Download: ferhatremory.be -> Portfolio -> Ferhatmod -> Download.
Will be later in English etc, is my new site znd will be soon multilanguage.
What I've made extra:
Music player is been restyled;
Launcher, contacts, phone, messaging etc has been fasted.
Video lagging fixed.
New bootanimation, if u want to have the ICS boot, tell me.
All app's (not system app's) can be replaced to SD-card.
Keyboard fixed.
System lag fixed
What I'll add:
Themechooser
Overclock functions
Choosable launchers
Make ur own lockscreen (like Lockbot)
What doesn't work:
Camera, but I'll try to compile the camera of GB
FM-Radio, same
Clock, but now I've Wakeupvoice.
Thanks and sorry for my badly English
Do u like, THANKS!
sounds good
post it here
Because I'm new, I can't... I need posts then .

currently we have 2 cm9 roms (both in alpha) one is by Maclaw, other is by Wayland......
is this based on Wayland?
or you have built from source ??
As you can read I've used the alpha 9 of him (for his kernel), and updated a lot in the time. Already two months busy with it.

Placeholder for Fixes
Sharing Knowledge
Do you have a Github, i.e. are you sharing your fixes. The GalaxyICS team is hard at work, and you can see all of their changes here:
https://github.com/GalaxyICS
Perhaps you should share your fixes to their work. The idea of open-source is many people working to a common goal for the benefit of us all, instead of lots of incompatible projects, each fixing the same things over and over again
Anyway, good luck!
I'll see for it. Because if I update, it is updated automaticly on my site.
so we first install waylands rom and then install your mod ??
No, U can install mine without installing Waylands ROM .
This is a Rom, but the name is Mod
may be i got it wrong ... the thing i am downloading is only 18.5 mb... how can it be rom ?
it is 130 MB
can u send direct link to that page ??
i am downloading this :
http://www.ferhatremory.be/portfolio/
Then u have Ferhatmod and then Download in a black submit link.
Edit: I see that Filezilla absorbed zip, I'll upload again!
have you tried the link itself ? .. the download link is giving an 18.5 MB zip file .. can you please double check it ? ..
How long uploading 130mb can take? lol...
Sent from my GT-S5830 using Tapatalk
yeah i am also getting 18.5 mb. may be upload not completed yet
Hi guys, my father has a Milestone 1 and the dev there has included a new app2sd script on his CM ROM.
I've been using it for quite sometime and it's AWESOME!
It's nice and clean and I haven't found any bugs yet.
The source for this script is here: https://gist.github.com/1244362
Since I'm no dev, I have no idea how to use it on P500. It would be nice to see one of our devs making a flashable zip for us.
This is the ROM using the script: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=941346&page=679

You know by any chance if the script has the bootloop problem ungaze and darktremor scripts have? You know what i'm talking about...
And thanks for taking interest into that matter. I and Miasmic were pointing it out for some time. Now that CM7 is almost bugless, that would be the only problem left for our device, a stable a2sd script. If only some dev would take interest in it...

Yeah, I know about these problems, that's why I don't use Darktremor or Ungaze anymore.
This script on Milestone (a very low memory device) is working perfectly.
It made the phone actually a lot faster.
I hope one of the devs see this.
Change post name. Add NEED DEV DESPERATELY or smth like that
And 2 other ways to use a2sd (maybe those could work too on O1).

I did not use it. Doesn't it give bootloops if too many apps are installed and moved to sd ext? If you use it try and stress it to its max and report back. Maybe it works, although it doubt it.
Have you tried using mount2sd on OpT yet? The second link option
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
Someone had solved it.It is dtapps2sd-2.7.5.3-beta04-signed.zip.It working fine!

I always use Link2SD and no boot loops for me for about 9 month.

It`s not about the time, but the amount of apps moved to sd. For example ungaze lets you move max 2GB (the size of sd ext) but i could only move about 1.2 or 1.3 GB of apps before getting bootloops. Also darktremor only lets you move about 2/3 of the space available on sd ext before getting bootloops.
So please test if link2sd and other apps solved this so we can use that stable one instead of bootloops ones.
It seems the problem is solved with Mount2sd app http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342387
"For some reason, the CM Team has come up with this fun idea to place the dalvik cache for all system apps in /cache/dalvik-cache instead of /data/dalvik-cache with the rest of it. This is especially fun when you have a cache size of 5mb, because then there is not enough space to build the dalvik-cache and you end up with these really funny reboot loops. However, if you are some boring person that does not find these reboot loop's fun, you can enable cmdalvik to fix this problem. It will force the dalvik-cache in /cache to be placed in the correct /data path among the rest of the dex files."

Hi !
New Slim ROM based on badadroid v0.3 and I9000 Slim ROM.
Huge thanks to the badadroid project !
Download link
Is included : HoloLaunche, Light PlayStore...
Tons of useless thing are removed. ROM takes only 85Mb !
Espicially for gamers I made a little trick. I've removed notification bar, multitask manager (long press on home) and "push" notification,
to save some RAM.
Now you can get about 150Mb of free RAM on 250Mb RAM kernel !!
It saves some screen space too.
Download link
Links for different types of screen :
LCD type 2 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40320073&postcount=2056
LCD type 3 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40295662&postcount=1994
Tested on S8530. But should work on both S8530 and S8500.
Just flash .zip file in recovery. I advice you to wipe data before flashing.
Known Bug : Can't change Ringtones, so no ringtones. I forgot to change build.prop... I'm too lazy to reupload.
So unzip ROM, open build.prop with NotePad++ (google it) and change lines 50-51-52 by :
Code:
ro.config.ringtone=Aquila.ogg
ro.config.notification_sound=DontPanic.ogg
ro.config.alarm_alert=Cesium.ogg
Zip ROM again and flash. Should work. At least phone will ring but you won't be able to change ringtones.

any feature working? change log? will try soon,.. thanks :good:
How much has the RAM؟
It's ROM size which is 88MB
Max I ever had is 150Mb RAM ! But I disable lots of hidden process with System Tuner
No real "changelog" since it is just a SLIM ROM. I made a mix between original ROM and SLIM I9000.

No it won't work on S8530. Maybe on S8500.
What I meant before is that I can get 150MB of free RAM with some tricks. But usually I have 100MB. So I won something like 50Mb of RAM if you compare with original badadroid one.

I need a rom iso
My problem is that in every rom I've tried I could not install flash player
Does anyone have any android rom iso built with flash player or a rom where you can install flash player?
I would try and roms Soxix tigrouzen rebellos / volk on the computer before installing the mobile phone but not if it is possible to create an ISO file From These roms to install on computer with VirtualBox.

Please test and report.

no mirrors please..
Extract & flash .ftf from zip. then flash rom (if recovery is working ) but better flash rom first using CWM 6 then flash provided ftf..just in case nothing will work. make sure you will be able to restore your x10 from hell state UB only.

No dmesg available at this boot stage.

Tried it today, if you install gapps the blur stops.
The rom is working quite well for what I was expecting.
It is a too laggy, process "com.android.phone" FC's and the notification bar freezes, you need to restart the phone. No reboots.
Wifi, bluetooth, gps, accelerometer, camera (8Mpx, video low), are all working.
This is a great first version of what could be a great rom for our old X10...
Thank you Fera!

Did you (or anyon eother, but noone is talking here) tried something like link2sd? It will probably try to use "cache" partition as its, so its pretty unusefull i think (?)

SO after 15 minutes if use (and additional 15 minutes to ler it do the magic in the begginingI i see that automatic brigteness doesnt work and flashlight breaks everything - i mean screen gots dark and i cant do nothing except take out battery
EDIT: U said that this 1.5 gb is for cache, however i see that its used as internal storage (so its data), that mean that it can be how i think: internal memory is split for system and cache and data partition is moved to sdcard?
smokerman i belive you should move your Thread to Q&A or Troubleshooting as we are not the REAL DEVS of this ROM.. its Mike and he will eventually Create new threads for cm12 here.. lets give him this space... in the Dev thread.. i also for the same reason didnt create the thread here.. i hope you understand my point.. we dont want to tick him off do we.. lol
the rom at this point its enough for daily usage..when mike wants to take over or create a new thread i will close this one and put a link to his thread..for now its just to have all users in the same space as your q&a thread was created on early buildings..alpha..this now is like BETA stage..from my tests its a decent rom in this stage..i will try to fix touchpads if i can and if have time..nowadays i dont use xperia play anymore..im developing for other devices and this days xperia play unfortunely is more than outdated..i find myself struggling to get something more of this amazing device..i wish SONY could make a xperia play 2..but that is another thing..and people dont sign my petition , dont know why..almost a year and only 50 signatures..xperia play users are a bit ungrateful with developers..i know that now..thats why many developers leave from here and now its finally my turn to say goodbye..now and then i will be here to see my threads but anytime soon this subforum maybe will go to low legacy devices.
One thing I want to know: is the recovery still CM Recovery, and is it still not capable of flashing packages other than ROM and GAPPS?

Can we bot Kitkat by using this kernel
just asking out of curiosity...can i boot kitkat(4.4.4) by using kernel of CM12
PS :- I tried to boot kitkat by using this kernel however it booted but was stucked in CM logo ....wouldn't it be great to get camera working in Kitkat and also there is no lag problem in KITKAT rom.
Btw, Smokerman Hats off to ur effort, its truly appreciated by every NEO L user

Certainly not... Kernels are never versatile. Also, the lag isn't necessarily associated to the kernel.

...and if you mean the speed, from my experience running PPSSPP, it's actually faster than CM11 in frame rate (for strange reason - CM11 stutters in even the simplest PSP game), though still not up to par with the good'ol ICS.

Hello XDA community! while I'm not forum Xperia Play, and recently between seeing as ive developing new rom's and I found this, and to save time to read all the post, wanted to know how things are going in general? .
Games?
Gamepad support? analogues?
3G - WIFI - Bluetooth - SMS?
stability and compatibility with applications?
if someone would be so kind you've tried the latest build and I can answer these questions.
thanks in advance
