when is the 8gb nook tablet have cm10
1. The fifth thread on this page is about CM10 on the 8 gb
2. This sounds like an eta request, which I it's a no-no.

I am a noob with the nook color but somewhat experienced with Android. I can do custom roms and all. I have a nook to Android card but it doesn't run very smoothly. I want to run CM7 our CM9 internally but still need the nook OS. Is there a way to run nook OS from an SD card. If it could have a dual boot interface like nook to Android that would be a plus, but not a requirement. Again, I do not want to dual boot internally. I want to run only CM7 internally and run nook OS from an SD card.

Interesting question, but this is the Nook Tablet forum, not Nook Color.

Sorry, I will switch it.

im interested in this for the nook tablet
Even if i had the answer for this i will not post it. It is known that n2acards.com takes the work of others to make this possible (boot a different OS from sdcard) kind of what AdamOutler has achieved with Ubuntu. So how devs or whoever that figure it out to make this possible will want to share if n2acards.com gets the profit for free.

Hey guys,
I think I know the answer to this, but CM7 is not ready for the 8GB tablet correct? I just rooted it last night and would love to get CM on there but I don't want to screw anything up.
It should be supported on the next release of cm7. Stay tuned.

If you aren't attatched to stock at all I'd recommend flashing ROMs to the internal storage as opposed to an external card. The ROMs will run faster and usually they are updated/released for internal sooner. Some people are scared of internal flashing and I dont know why. Ive done only internal flashes and its really nice!

Ok I got the nook running now
Yes I like internal better, when I had my nook color thats all i ran was internal, sd to me was to much for me IMO

That's because I'm using this phone not the tablet, and thanks!

Hi,
is anyone working on CM10 for nook tablet 8gb? I only see development for 16gb currently.
Read through the cm10 thread and the 3.x kernel development thread. You will find you are mistaken.

I will check through the forum. So we can expect a release for CM10 for 8gb soon?
We will have to see. I have a 16gigger but my cousin got herself a 8gb and now she wants JB also. Remember, when the forum is quiet, progress, is underway.

Development is moving decently, considering the 3.0 kernel is somewhat temperamental with the 8gb version... I've got an 8gb myself, and am just starting to learn how to build from source etc.. just remember to be patient, and keep an eye on the development threads, they'res usually several posts a day with some type of progress being made.
If you're really itching, CM10 works for some users with 8gb tablets, but honestly, until the 3.0 issues are worked out, you'll see a lot of kernel crashes and random reboots.
I am currently working on 8gb development using chrshoffmans cm10 and kuzmas 3x kernel. Its about as stable as the 16gb but far from ready. I've been working on cm9 but I'm abandoning that and consolidating my work singularly on cm10. I'll try to keep this thread updated.

SGT7 by meghd00t
Hi Guys,
Does SGT7 rom work well with 8gigger? any issues?
Thank you.
hey everyone,
So i got a nexus 10 for Christmas and decided to use my nook as an ereader again... So i was wondering if anyone had given any thought to back porting the nook hd rom to the nook tablet.
With all the advancements with jellybean on this device, i was thinking it should be possible, though probably not all that easy.
Any thoughts? Would anyone be interested in this besides me?

I think that is a whole 'nother animal intirely.
However if it can be done, I for one would be interested in trying it myself.:good:
With CM 10.1 and several other roms working towards stable JB 4.2.x builds I don't see the interest being there for a stock restricted as hell ROM being ported.
Sent from my CM 10 nook tablet. Thanks devs!
