[Q] Roms on 8GB? - Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

Hey guys,
I think I know the answer to this, but CM7 is not ready for the 8GB tablet correct? I just rooted it last night and would love to get CM on there but I don't want to screw anything up.

It should be supported on the next release of cm7. Stay tuned.

[Q] NT Root with full storage usable?

I'm looking for a root that gets me at least 3.0 and access to all of the storage on this thing! So far I haven't found anything! If anybody's working on this, or knows of one, please post a link? Thanks in advance.
Devs are working on these things (though I doubt anyone is going to try to make a Honeycomb ROM now that ICS is out) but nothing is ready yet.

As far as I know, honeycomb won't be an option until devs can get past the bootloader. As for more storage availability, I haven't seen or heard of any breakthroughs yet.

Looking for helpers for ics :)

Haven't been reading the forums lately, so I don't know if somebody's already working on this, but I want to port over ics android 4.0 to the nook tablet. I need one tester, but not for a little while, mainly because I don't even own the tablet.
The tester is going to have to be there when I need him and be able to report bugs, logcat, etc.
This is my first attempt at developing, so expect things to be slow
Also, if some of the devs are willing to help when I need it, that would be amazing
This is not a guarantee that you will get ics. But its a hope
I would love to be your tester, and yes some guys are already working on CM 9. They even wanna get the 3.2 kernel working...

can't we just use the 3.x kernel?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1440438 has the latest progress from ics porting (plus the 3.x kernel thread you posted).
Yeah, both the CM7 and CM9 development here are pretty closed...CM7 insists they want a polished product before release and CM9 is going above and beyond with their kernel work, but I know for a fact that they had it 90% a few weeks ago, so I don't know why the news is slow in coming.
I'd gladly help you if you need some work, I not only have a NT but I have an 8-core machine for compiling, I'd be more than happy to build from your github as well.
Hmm... Well if they're that close to being done.. :/
But, the only thing stopping me is having the proprietary libs, which I can't get without the NT.

Not unless you are building alongside with me.

I can't help you now, but here is some tips.
Use Clockwork Recovery, you can restore and backup and install
Use some drivers from Kindle Fire Android 4.0 Firmware, not too many though.
Rest of the options should be Nook Tablet-based. You might be able to use some Nook Color drivers, but I highly doubt it.

[Q] Determine Android Version?

So, I rooted this thing using Indirect's method a few months ago. And this may be a simple question, but how do I know which version of Android I'm running?
You'll be running 2.3.4, that's what version B&N's broken OS is running and I doubt they'll update any time soon.
Sent from my Team A CM9 Alpha 0.03 Nook Tablet
If it is just rooted it is the same version B&N shipped with. You should be able to look that up on their web. Both CM7 & CM9 are running gingerbread kernals, however CM9 sort of thinks it is ICS.

CM7, CM9 or CM10?

Hello everyone,
I'm really sorry if this is already out there somewhere in all the posts. I have no time to read through them all or keep up with all current trends. Please forgive me.
I bought the NT for my wife for Christmas. Since then all i've been aware of that is stable is CELTICWEB SOLUTIONS CM7 alpha (which i see it is now in BETA). Are there any mods that are not buggy for this device yet? Currently she stays frustrated because of problems with wifi connecting only when it wants to, the microphone being inconsistent and the issue concerning video decoding...
I'd love to put CM9 or 10 on it for her...but honestly just a good working version of CM7 would be great.
I appreciate if you can point us in right direction, even if the suggestion is to just buy a Nexus 7 and sale this one!
Thanks a lot!
Load the beta !
Thanks; I will try that today.
Is netflix hd working on any of the cm's?

[Q] Nook tablet running nook hd style rom?

hey everyone,
So i got a nexus 10 for Christmas and decided to use my nook as an ereader again... So i was wondering if anyone had given any thought to back porting the nook hd rom to the nook tablet.
With all the advancements with jellybean on this device, i was thinking it should be possible, though probably not all that easy.
Any thoughts? Would anyone be interested in this besides me?

I think that is a whole 'nother animal intirely.
However if it can be done, I for one would be interested in trying it myself.:good:
With CM 10.1 and several other roms working towards stable JB 4.2.x builds I don't see the interest being there for a stock restricted as hell ROM being ported.
Sent from my CM 10 nook tablet. Thanks devs!
