[Solved] [Help] Phone Restarts after enabling mobile data.. - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On A Stock ICS (Xlpw) whenever enable mobile data the phone restarts and the battery jumps from like 90% to 10%..
I've tried flashing the latest radio but it didn't help..
Any ideas on how to fix this ??

Try a different kernel or rom.

i dont think so since lot of people using i9100g started facing problems when they used roms r kernels built specifically for i9100 hence not recomnded the rom devloped for i9100 to flash with i9100p
but still u can give a try @ ur own risk

Yes you can. I have the I9100P from Orange. For all intent and purpose they both are exactly the same model except the I9100P has NFC built in. Just dont flash any I9100G firmware.

Can you get into download mode using the 3 button combo (vol down/menu/power)
if you can, flash your latest firmware using Odin from here
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=-1
If not, can you get hold of a USB jig.
PS always double check the firmware/kernel or anything else before flashing.

Flashing N.E.A.K. should have also rooted your phone.
Dont you hate it when the OP seemingly decides not to take part in his/hers own thread before we know the outcome of the question they posed or even if the problem was resolved by the other members who actually searched google;(save the OP doing it), for their benifit!!

Used the search tool but nothing about it.
I'm looking for a list of compatible modem for I9100G with AOKP based rom too.
As soon as I switch to a custom AOSP/AOKP based rom, I loose my data connection. And it goes well when I go back to a stock rom..
Tried many roms with all the ways possible for flashing etc.. but still stuck on this ****
Same question... I have CyanogenMod 10. Is it compatible?
Thank you.

is it safe to flash a stock rom over another stock rom that isn't rooted

as the title says. is it 100% safe to flash a stock rom on another stock rom when the phone has never been rooted?
could it cause hardbricks ? or maybe it doesnt matter when it is about flashing stock roms in odin?
Thanks!
As long as you have proper ROM for your model its 100% safe even without root.

Try in settings/developer options --> make sure you have nothing checked in that menu. If this doesn't help you, you should consider to reflash the rom via odin, or use a custom rom of your taste.
Cheers!
Edit: do you have stock luncher or a custom one? Are you sure that your issue is not related to the mods you made (i see a different battery icon)... just wandering
Cant see your screenshot. Can you attach it again buddy..

I took this screenshot after flashed Wanamlite 12.4 and it based on 4.0.4 XWLPU firmware. After that I was back to stock XWLPU firmware and saw the same issue.
Nothing special in Development setting.

Maybe a different kernel would solve it? That's the only solution I can come up with, since the other one was to flash a different stock ROM, but you've already tried that.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
I tried some another kernel such as lastest Siyah 4.1 or Speedmod 3.31 but cannot resolve this issue.
But with Wanam Lite 12.3, no have the same problem.
Ah, I use Galaxy S2 Korea version flashed International firmware or I9100 custom rom.

Well, you found out the problem then Do try to read before flashing different ROMs. The most popular custom roms are for the international version, and many people who have other variants face similar problems when they just flash away without reading.

Well, but i have a question. Why Wanam 12.3 (4.0.4 XWLPT base) no has this issue and Wanam 12.4 (also 4.0.4 but XWPLU base) has this.
I asked Wanam so i wait him answer or give me one solution.

Your phone, Galaxy SII Korea, should not be the cause of the problem.
My friend has M250 as well and I've helped him flash almost every custom ROM out there.
Contact the developer of Wanamlite first on the Rom's thread.
If he nobody can help you out, then report here

Problem with Samsung Galaxy S2

Hello guys !
I have a SGS2 and my problem is this; the bottom buttons ( the sensitive ones ) dont work.
Somebody knows what might be the problem. I tried Android 2.3.4 , 2.3.6, 4.0.3 so i dont think is a software problem.
