[Q] Play store force close after cooking with dsixda kitchen - Android

Every time I cook a ROM using the dsixda kitchen, it builds fine with no errors, but when I flash the ROM the play store force closes, no matter what ROM I use as a base. Everything else seems to work fine. What am I doing wrong? Sorry for the noob question, can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Doing this for the thunderbolt btw.

I've tried that, I've even used an older version and tried to let market updater handle downloading the latest version and still no dice

Good call. I'm at work but I'll logcat it and post the results later. Thanks for your patience, this is the first ROM I've tried to build

I figured it out, there were some errors in the build prop. Noob mistake.

Nothing special. Just extracted the leaked ruu and booted it up. This is more so for Devs. It's completely stock. All the way down to the boot animation and Virgin Mobile apps. I left it odexed also.

Try the one on Cyanogen kernel's thread in the development section of E3D. There's a link to download the kernel but also a pretty praised ROM you are looking for.

If you want to have a lot of control over the look of your ROM, try Paranoid Android.

The Mac kernel seems promising:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1767568
There is also the anthrax kernel available on a different site that seems to be almost 100 percent ready. We don't discuss the dev on XDA (pm a mod about why if you care to), but search Google and you will find it.

[Q] Need help with ROM install.

I have a EVO 3D from Virgin Mobile. I have unlocked the bootloader using HTCDev, S-off using the JBear wire trick and have the VM_ICS_2.95.652.5710RD_DEODEX_3-24 ROM installed currently because it was needed to do the s-off.
I was going to install VILLUMINATI but that failed to install so I tried HOOD POPE, Pac-Man and LiquidSmooth but all of them failed to install and gave me the failed getprop( ro.bootloader ) error. I currently have TWRP 2.6.3.0 installed as per the requirement for VILLUMINATI.
I then reflashed the DEODEX and the phone boots, no problems.
I'm thinking that something needs updated to be able to flash one of the aforementioned ROMs but I don't know what is needed. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

Should I use the regular CDMA HBOOT 1.50 or the Juopunutbear Patched Hboot 1.50? I'm already unlocked and used the JBear S-Off.
I usually use the jbear 1.50.5050
Right now I'm using 1.04 eng
Any should work as long as its for CDMA
I am on Virgin btw
