I see in some places that the Amaze is suppose to have two microphones, but in the manual it only shows one. I have looked and I can only see one, but my eyes are bad..LOL, so I thought I would ask for clarification. Thanks in advance for the info.
I only know of 1... But I could be wrong

It has two, second is for noise cancellation and stereo recording on the camera.

How come they don't show it's location in the manual?

The three holes on the back around the camera aren't a "Mic".. they cancel out ambient sound. I do believe that the manual mentions noise canceling, but it would not refer to it as a mic, which would be an input.

Yes it has 2 as said before it's for noise cancellation & stereo recording for the camcorder. Just google the phones specs its common knowledge.

So, does the sound-recorder use stereo mics or just a single one. I am getting poor recording using the HTC Sound Recorder app...
Thanks in advance for your comments.

Most likely only one.

What is the second mic for near the headphone jack? Is it noise cancelling? I've never really noticed it until a few days ago.
The speaker's at the back and the phone had a feature wherein you flip the phone over and it automatically activates the speakerphone. So I guess that's what that's for.

Does anybody know of a way to hack the phone speaker to work when playing videos or music? Even if the volume was lower then the speaker on the back I think this would create a nice fill effect that would help the sound.

When you watch YouTube videos the speakers is on the back the the sound isn't the greatest. I'm wondering if there is a way to have the phone speaker play the audio for the videos as well as the speaker on the back? I think this would really help out when watching videos or playing music.

Dafuq?
I think when he is referring to the front speaker he means the one used when making phone calls. If I understand correctly, you are asking if there is a way to have audio from music and movies play through the rear speaker and the front, telephone speaker.
I have never seen anything like this but I'm sure there is a way somehow. However, the telephone speaker isn't meant for the kind of volume the rear speaker is and I don't imagine it would enhance the sound in any way. Also, you might cause damage to the telephone speaker if you were to try something like that.

This is what I meant. I know the telephone speaker wouldn't be that loud but I just think it would help. The telephone speaker would act like a surround sound speaker in a home theater. It's not that loud but it makes the entire system sound better.

Here is a cool video of an Element case that channels the sound from your back speaker to the front of your device. Pretty cool.

The speaker on the back of this phone is leaps and bounds better than the one on my rezound (with beats by dr dre). It may have something to do with the fact that he only impersonates a doctor and is not in fact a real doctor. just sayin

I've had this problem for the 8 months I've owned this phone. I'm actually surprised that my monthly Google searches have found few mentions of the problem.
I am not the ONLY one,
Low Audio Quality and Constant Noise in Android app for HTC One X / HTC EVO 4G LTE
http://community.skype.com/t5/Andro...-Noise-in-Android-app-for-HTC-One/td-p/833460
I've been checking back on that thread on the Skype forums, but never any answers. I just signed up to bump it tonight.
I just upgraded to Skype 3.1.0.6458 today, but apparently this has still never been solved.
Overall, the app seems much snappier, which is fantastic. However, the poor audio problems persist.
Skype just got an update might wanna check

New to the LG G2 and was just wondering if sound was supposed to come out of both of the bottom slotted holes. I only ask because I only get sound out of the holes to the right of the charge port
same. i've tested it with many uses and beginning to wonder if its just a decoration.
lol.

This is a microphone grate if I'm not mistaken. I'm fairly certain only one of them is a speaker. There are threads all over this forum with this being stated.

yup.. just like the iphones lol
now, if you had the bastardized verizon version like i do, youd see how this is so. there's only one speaker looking grate on their version.. and its not a grate, it's 3 holes.. then the other side is 1 tiny mic hole. wish ours looked like yours though bc the asymmetric look is awful

Yes this was my first disappointment of the phone as well. I thought it were stereo speakers so the phone will play music with good loudness from the speakers. Then I played music and it came from 1 grill. I googled it and saw it had 1 speaker instead of 2. (Cheaters)

stereo speakers right next to eachother on the same exact side make literally no sense whatsoever. lol it would've been a waste of resources.

Yes that's true but it would improve the loudness of the speakers. I would use them for music outside but now I'm using a Bluetooth speaker.

I have a problem with my HTC One Max and my Plantronics Legend.
When in call people say they can't understand me because it's too loud.
In technical terms it's called peaking.
Is there a way to decrease bluetooth mic input when in calls?
My push to talk app zello sounds perfectly fine where it is as I tweaked it's recording down a bit.
I'm on Stock (Rooted) Kit Kat.

I've updated the firmware twice... Even swapped it for another at best buy to see if it was the headset.
I went back to my epic 4g touch and it works fine with no complaints on the other side.
I've tried both JB and Kit Kat versions on the HTC One Max with the same results in complaints that the
other side of the conversation can't understand me.
I'm thinking about the problem and I'm wondering if the Aslamixer program by skvalex can edit the input control volume of the bluetooth...
If so what control do I need to edit for it.

Oh. So you can resync it by turning it off and laying it flat.....then turn it on and don't touch it for five seconds. That's a quick fix. My permanent fix was to disable those Damn smart sensors.
