This thread is terminally ill
Closed, no such thing as a "best" rom, read and try them for yourself.
On a side note, it's best not to respond to threads that are misplaced or have other issues, but just to report them

Does anyone have an idea if and when the S2 is going to get an Official or Custom ICS ROM?
I am eagerly awaiting it..

Why not insta-close these threads? Or would that make it even worse? If we assume 3-5 confused and lost souls like OP wonder around here and ask the same questions per day, that's not so bad... but maybe if they delete the threads, they will think some kind of error happened (assuming they have no forum-knowledge whatsoever), and they will re-post. That's .. 9001 threads/day. My god.
I've been considering flashing and hellraising a ROM from the original galaxy s2 and have been wondering which ROM would be best. With performance, battery life and UI into consideration. Thanks in advance

Definately the turkbey rom. Has awesome graphics and has been working without a problem for me. I have tested it with Entropy's kernel and currently testing siyah and it works awesome with either one.
Battery life is good as long as you don't have any of the battery draining apps installed or controlled.

I would give Villain Rom a try. Its based on KI3(2.3.5) and its rock solid! Battery is stellar, no wifi bugs/issues. It hasn't been updated in a while but for good reason, new doesn't always mean better
It doesn't have a flashy theme or anything(you can change that if you want) but performs great, fast and stable.
There are a lot of nice Roms in the I9100 forums. I've tried a few of them(Crysis 2.0, Turkbey Rom) but keep coming back to Villain 3.0
Only you will be able to tell what one works best on your device. Each device is different
I have the GS2 AT&T version. I777
I want to know can i install CM9 for GS2 in my device?

Like everyone else says. READ THE STICKIES then read them again!! After you understand whats going on then read the CM9 nightlys in the General Forum. There is a lot of good info in here. Just search for it!!! I did it and most other people did it too. Also you tube worked great for me!! Make sure you READ THE STICKIES and understand them before you do anything!!!!! SEARCH, SEARCH SEARCH the forums!!!!!

WOW
When people make threads like this. Make them search for what they're looking for. Pointing them towards what they want just keeps feeding these trolls. Make them search.

This is subjective. Nobody can help you with that. Do your own research to find out.

I know that there maybe is a Topic about his anywhere here, but I didn't had the time to look for it.
A friend of mine has a problem with heavy battery drain on his SGS 3.
He sent me some screenshots and asked me if I could post it here.
He's on CM10.1.3
He used the Yank555 kernel, but he didn't felt any difference. So he switched back to CM-Kernel.
Furthermore he said to me that he is looking for an AOSP ROM which is stable with good battery life and he needs it only for Whatsapp and gaming. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated

Media server issue covered in many threads, use search instead of starting a new thread.
As i said in OP - I'm pretty busy atm and I want to help my friend. If u just wanna tell me to use search, u should not answer to this.
