Not receiving any updates - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, I'm new in these parts.
I live in Morocco and I purchased a SGS3 about two months ago. I love it !
The only thing is, I'm not receiving any updates since I had it. When I look for updates from the phone it says that no updates are available.
When I try to use Kies to update it tells me I'm running the latest firmware, although my phone only got the I9300XXALF2 !
Am I doing something wrong ? Or is it a country problem ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi check is what your CSC is

Why should you have an update has your phone provider updated the firmware ???
If not you are on the latest ask your phone provider .
Or join XDA Developers and flash latest stock firmware .

Thanks, so I guess I just have to wait for my provider... It sucks
I'm worried I never get an eventual Jellybean update because of this !

Kies, Odin, Mobile Odin, CWM. Take your pick.
Unsure about any of them? There's a search function, and it's not just there to look pretty.
Just be sure to take note that you have an I9100G (according to your spammy signature) before doing something silly.

update
some website shows ics officially update realesed on 10th march?
So? They're clearly wrong, and if you would take a few seconds to search, you could have found official clarification.
By the way, sticking a question mark at the end of a statement a question does not make.

Is there room for the scanner Galaxy S3

Please ..
Is there room for Galaxy S3 I-9300 full scans every device and return it to factory settings again
I do not want I want a scanner room supplement

An emirati from the UAE, salam ya aki! sorry but I don't speak much Arabic although I lived in Abu Dhabi for 16 years. Maybe you can try to talk with the OP and see what his problem is? I suspect he is from Oman btw why aren't you Etisalat or Du what's that new telecom provider you have in your more info tag?
@OP probably you want an app that will scan codes for your SGS3? there's an app called Barcode Scanner in the playstore and I think it's free you should get that.

Haha nah I'm not an emirati. Born and brought up in uae but currently going to university in Malaysia, hence the different telecom operator. I identify more with uae than I do with my country of origin so I kept it that way. Also my Arabic is non existent so the OP is gonna have to get a better translator

India is always the last to recieve any updates. But it will recieve the update.
On a side note, you dont need to make a new thread just to ask this!!. There is a indian discussion thread meant just for these things.

That'll not be the Indian firmware na? So, no more official updates, no warranty
1. For official updates u r still waiting, if u eager than change to LLC and switch back to Indian firmware when launched.
2. For your warranty issue before taking any issue to ASC flash back to Indian Firmware. It takes a couple of mins.

As far as I know that samsung don't give any official update to over that firmware which is flashed by odin, that doesn't matter that if you flash a official firmware of any country or of any other country.

U can change ur CSC to get OTA.
But if you are reluctant to all than best is u wait for Official Update for India and you very well Samsung always delay updates for India.
Even in next few days for India you will get firmware LLA or LLB while for Spain its already LLC.
Now its your option you wait for OTA for an older firmware or update to latest.

Failed in Odin? Click the link in my signature and follow that.
Just a hint, if you want to get help, you need to give us something to go on.
What have you tried to fix it already? What is the current status of the phone? Ie, does it boot, or can you only access recovery or download mode? 'failed on Odin' could mean anything.

Don't have to call me 'sir', I'm just an ordinary bloke like you LP7 is not specific to any country. So it will work with philippines too. To find the firmware you should flash, search on Samfirmware.com for the correct phone model, country, and carrier you're on. Then, flash it in Odin. If it fails again, click the link in my signature and then follow those for troubleshooting steps. There's no "magic fix", it'll take some effort on your part.
