i installed cm9 full throttle on my razr. i do not have my phone number backed up through google. they are backed up through verizon. well when i installed the cm9 which is really cool i do not have access to my verizon backup assistance. i need it cause thats where all my contacts are. thanks.
Have you tried downloading it from the play store yet? If that doesn't work you may have to go back to your non safe side. Restore your contracts, export to sd. Then go back to full throttle and import from sd card. I'm pretty sure the CM9 contacts has that option.

I'm getting a replacement Tbolt and I was wondering if, after I make a backup on this phone, I could restore that backup on the new phone? This would be after I re-root and whatnot of course.
I would just use this SD card to restore from

i would say you should be able to since you can on the OG droid... but... not sure if anything is different with HTC
I just did. As long as your using your original SD card on your replacement.

Yeah you should be able to just fine. I haven't done it, but I cant think of any reason it wouldn't work. Of course, I'm assuming you talking about a full backup with ClockworkMod Recovery.
Let me try and make this an easy question. I used to be able to go to the play store and purchase apps on my att acct, now its only giving me an option to buy thru credit card only. Is there something I did to make that option go away or is it not an option on the new gapps? I'm running milestone 6 from, not sure if that matters. I flashed the latest gapps dated back in may I believe.

They got rid of that on newer phones and updated play store...I called google about that and they said att and other carriers are no longer doing that as it cuts out a lot of issues with billing and shizz..

I had the same problem. I cleared the data from the play store about five times and the option finally came back. It was just trial and error.

I recently exchanged my rezound for a like new one via warranty. I have unlocked it and rooted the stock rom. Before s-off'ing and putting in a custom rom, I wanted to back up Let's Golf 2 HD. I'm not quite sure whether or not verizon would try charging me again for the app since its a new phone, same account, but regardless: I can't figure out how to backup the full version instead of the demo. Any thoughts?
Also, should I use rezrom or newts one? if the latter, rls3 or 3.1.2?
Thanks!

Not sure about the rom choice you have to make but as for the game, if you have purchased the full version though Google Play, it is forever yours. All you have to do is just redownload it from the Play store.

It was part of Verizon's bloatware. It was not purchasable via the play store and gamesoft pretends to not support the rezound/vigor. The full version was purchased through the carrier bill as it was an inapp purchase.

Ask verizon. Just act like you got a new phone and they should tell you how, or if it is even possible.

Titanium backup should be able to back it up and then restore after putting a new Rom on.

I have an Unlocked Verizon Note 2 I was wondering how do I stop VZW Demo App for re-installing itself. I keep uninstall it but re-install itself minutes later. My sister got it off craigslist, so I'm stuck with the phone. Is it possible to root it and put it on a different rom or install a stock rom to it?
Edit: Just realize post this in the wrong section some one please move it to the right one please.

Thats what I thought also, but it would have a bad esn if that were the case. Factory wipe it, and if that doesnt work, ordin back to stock.

Not to hijack a thread, but does Verizon actually block lte phones that are lost and stolen? Or is it like gsm where it will still work with a good SIM?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Seeing as they still have IMEIs im pretty sure they can be blocked if they are reported. I have read in the GS3 forums where some guys had gotten the phone off ebay or craiglist and VZW woupdnt activate it dues to it being reported stolen. They didnt have a 4g sim card though and were trying to get VZW to send them one so while that still leaves it uo in the air...
Im pretty sure if you use a phone on VZW that is reported stolen then they will block it and contact you, and im pretty sure theyd be able to even tho we use sim cards in 4g phones now.
When the first iphone came out I got one, I was young and stupid, and it got stolen within a month. When i called AT&T and reported it stolen they told me that it had been activated on a different account and that they were blocking it off of their network permanently and would contact the user and ask them to return it. I dont know what ever came of it cause they were supposed to contact me if they got it back, I assume they didn't, but even they could block a phone permanently back then sooo......

Need to remove VZW app. Can someone help?
Remove VZW Demo App.
you will need to root the device and remove/move 2 System Apps.
location : /system/app/
Apps to move/remove:
com.customermobile.preload.main.apk
com.customermobile.preload.apk
use the following commands
mv com.customermobile.preload.main.apk com.customermobile.preload.main.apk.bk
mv com.customermobile.preload.apk com.customermobile.preload.apk.bk
that should do it.
you can use SafeRoot for the Note 2.
then you can uninstall the VZWDemo app in Settings/Applications/All.
Good Luck
this is a super old thread, but the question still remains. I purchased an OLD LG Intuition, it has the VZW Demo app on it. Everytime i delete it, it redownloads itself when I connect to wifi. Anybody know how to stop it redownloading?
install app freezer with no root, check google play for any app freezer which doesnt needs root
I have the newer droid maxx that came out the end of 2013. I am not sure why but its using a ton of data. The is is using over 200mb a day. I am wondering if rooting the phone will help. Since Verizon doesn't have unlimited data anymore all the date I can save will be very helpful. Also if there is s guide for rooting this phone that I could be pointed to that would be very helpful.
Have you went to data usage in settings to see what apps are using all the data? Do you have a lot of apps on auto update from play store?
This is a maxx, not maxxhd?

You need to post in your form. It would be the same as the droid ultra form.

I have an app that show whats using data and OS Services are using the most and that doesn't seem right. The phone is just called Droid Maxx it replaced the HD. I was hoping that someone had info if rooting the phone would help with the data usage and also how could Verizon react to that being done. I wanted to make sure they had no way to know that it was done. I had an S4 that I rooted but that was on Sprint and it already had unlimited data.
