How do I block the account holder from seeing my SMS, CALLS and etc? I can't login on his account but I don't want him seeing all my things. any apps? Please advise.
Not to sound mean, but I'm not gonna help you circumvent your Daddy's parental responsibility of monitoring you. Plus, I'm sure that any manipulation of the software will alert the account holder.

Today i found article about a Motorola Droid X2 which constatly sends a considerable amount of sensitive information to Motorola and just can't belive it (google "Motorola Is Listening", I can't use links)... Can someone check this with RAZR?
Sorry for crappy english...
Not just Motorola, every smartphone, I repeat, every smartphone is prone to the incident of sensitive data being collected.

I've read about CarrierIQ, but this article is not about it! Motorola does something much worse, for example the email address and password for the Facebook and Twitter account are sent to them!

Not only twitter and facebook, here is quote from article:
Information that is definitely being collected:
1. The IMEI and IMSI of the phone. These are referred to as MEID and MIN in the phone's UI and on the label in the battery compartment, but IMEI and IMSI in the logs. I believe these two values are all that's needed to clone a phone, if someone were to intercept the traffic.
2. The phone number of the phone, and carrier information (e.g. Verizon).
3. The barcode from inside the battery compartment.
4. Applications included with the device as well as installed by the user.
5. Statistics about how those applications are used (e.g. how much data each one has sent and received).
6. Phone call and text message statistics. For example, how many calls have been received or missed.
7. Bluetooth device pairing and unpairing, including detailed information about those devices.
8. Email addresses/usernames for accounts configured on the device.
9. Contact statistics (e.g. how many contacts are synced from Google, how many Facebook users are friends of the account I've configured on the device).
10. Device-level event logs (these are sent to Google as well by a Google-developed checkin mechanism).
11. Debugging/troubleshooting information about most activities the phone engages in.
12. Signal strengths statistics and data use for each type of radio included in the device. For example, bytes sent/received via 3G versus wifi.
13. Stack memory and register dumps related to applications which have crashed.
14. For Exchange ActiveSync setup, the server name and email address, as well as the details of the security policy enforced by that EAS server.

I guess that we need to assume that everything that we do and say is being collected. Use encryption whenever you can...
Does encrypting our data help here?

If your not doing anything bad you have nothing worry about. Your information has no value to them, unless your doing something really bad. No stranger cares if you did something with you friends wife, or anything else. If it keeps me safe, i don't see why not. But i hope not everyone collecting the data can easy access to my name. Other than that if its an algorithm, (not even an human) looking through data to find something bad, it doesn't worry me at all. Given whats recently happen to the city i live in, if that could have helped, sure because I don't feel my essential liberties are being violated if at the worst case its just some algorithm looking for bad patterns in my data. You have to be really naive or stupid to think this isn't happening. Other governments do this to make sure there people are in line, not to protect them. I'm an american and this is how i feel.
Whats up guys?
I have two Google accounts that I use on my tablet. A primary one that I use for Gmail, Calendar, Contacts, etc.... and another one that I use for the sole purpose of purchasing apps. This happened due to limitations in my country so I made this other account with US data so I can buy apps with it.
This other account doesn't have any noteworthy data about me. I don't sync anything to it except apps.
So my question is. Can I share that account with other friends/family? so they can take advantages of some of the apps i purchased? Keep in mind that nobody can really purchase anything for themselves in my country (Egypt) and I went through hoops to get that one working and credit added to it, so I'm thinking about sharing this account with one or two people.
So can I do that? and if I did. Is there anything wrong with it? Are there any risks involved?
Thanks in advance and sorry if I posted this on the wrong forum.
According to Apple, the Apple ID can be associated with a maximum of 10 devices, I have read somewhere, that it was the same with Google. I have seen the same Google account used on 3-4 devices without any problem. If you want to share your account with 3 more people or devices, I would say go ahead. But if the number of people or devices exceeds more than that, then I would suggest to contact Google and ask them the upper usage limit of a single account on different devices.
The first thing that came to my mind, was to be careful and not syncing your data with that account (even by mistake).
Also.. make sure you trust them, I think this is obvious
My company is going to be switching to MobileIron application to use with our smart phones. My question is what data/information is captured and retained. I would assume all work emails would be captured and accessible through this application by the company. But does the company have access to photos, text messages, search history, phone calls, etc. on my phone. Basically I'm asking how big of a big brother is MobileIron for my phone?

My company is using MobileIron. MobileIron has access to I guess everything on my phone. So I suppose my employer can get access to all my personal data. Keep track of where I am going. Monitor my calls ... It's frightening. I often wanted to delete all this stuff from my phone. But so far I didn't do this because then I loose access to my work-agenda when I am on the road.
Hello everyone.
I want to know Android Apps that are used to track your Kids, Office staff or friends.
I'm looking for an app which has the following features.
- Records All calls and store on Cloud accounts (G Drive/ Dropbox )
- Grabs GPS location (wheather gps is on/off)
- Access to photos recieved or clicked.
- WhatsApp & Fb Messenger chat logs.
- All tracking should be remote via Cloud accounts or some weblink.
I'm not sure about all these features in one app, multiple apps will also work. I have rooted device.
I've doubt that my brother is into wrong line, he might be dealing something illegal. So need to track him down and stop.
PS : If I have posted at wrong place, kindly shift it to correct place. Pls dnt ban me!
I ll be glad to hear replies from you. Looking for some urgent solutions.
Thanks SD!
Idk about an app, I do know family base on Verizon helps you track, but pulling FB messages and texts is super secure and hard for an app to be aloud to do that.

How about no. This is illegal. This is immoral. This kind of discussion won't take place on XDA. Thread closed.
Hi there,
I ordered a OnePlus 3 for use on my private and my companys sim card (no access to companys intranet, only for telephone accessibility).
For business contacts which I don't want to have synced with google I use the app "MyLocalAccount" which seems to be good for that situation.
But is there a possibility to deny whatsapp for accessing this "MyLocalAccount"?
Maybe with a xposed module?
Or is there another way to handle this?
Thanks for your help,

Hello and welcome to XDA Q&A section of the Forum.
Perhaps you should try out an XPosed module called "XPrivacy"? It will ask for your permission for litterally everything and once you accept it it obviously won't and it should help with what you need help with.
If I helped, hit "thanks"
I tried XPrivacy and asked also in the XPrivacy thread, but it is not 100% what I want
The easiest way would be to block access to all contacts from that local account, but in XPrivacy I've to allow every contact for WhatsApp.
But as I also searched on google I think there's no way to do this?
