how to update baseband?

hi,
I´m on rooted neo v with bootloader unlocked and have updated fw and kernel to .62
but I still have old baseband (xxD-56 - new is D-64)
don´t see any disadvantages so far,
I´m just curious and interested.
and where is the baseband integrated (if)?
Kernel or FW?
for other devices (i.e. HTC) you can update baseband
by cwm and zip-file...
Here you go!
.62 firmware Baseband:

i found in another thread the .64 baseband for neo v which is here:
http://205.196.122.253/3370kbxvo93g/lis7dx8dhppylq2/.64+baseband.rar
which one shud i install..
im on .62 based fw (NeoV.62_ODEX_Smooth_Spacious_n_Light)
and night-elf kernel...
Suggest you to do a full flash to 0.62 fw with flashtool using this ftf file, then move to spacious rom This way your phone is fully updated to 0.62 fw.

Since you are on unlocked bootloader i suggest you install jb. It has been ported for sola too but don't know if and which bugs could exist.
If you want to restore the stock rom, search the ftf file from sola development section and dowload it. Flash it via flashtool and you are done.

jb is jellybean. Latest android os. Check here a modified version of jb --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2288630
.img is not the custom rom but the kernel mate.
As about stock: download the ftf and open it with winrar. Extract kernel.sin and flash it via fastboot mode. After that flash via flashmode the ftf..
Stock
Jb(jelly bean) is a new branch of software newer than Ics(ice cream sandwich), in my opinion i recomend ultimate rom V4z but you have to read the instructions and last posts carefully.
In case you still dont want to install a new rom, heres the stock,

If you’ve unlocked the boot loader, and flashed a custom ROM/Kernel, there’s actually a way to return to a generic Sony ROM by using the Flash tool for Xperia™ devices. This is a Windows application that you can download from the Developer World website. The Flash tool for Xperia™ devices can only be used by unlocked Sony devices.
Please note that your device stays unlocked even if you flash a generc Sony ROM, and that the warranty may still be voided. Only a limited number of devices and ROMs are supported by this tool.
Download and read more about the Flash tool for Xperia™ devices.
