Don't worry. You can post here until a Xperia P Q&A appear.

I don't have a Xperia P, but it is still with GB. ICS should come at the end of this month, AFAIK. Then, the real dev will start. Don't know about bugs. GB firmware is pretty good.

confused with the model tags
Im kinda confused which roms works for which models. I found this subforum via the xda news about xperia S Sola gettings custom roms and root, but from what i see this subforum is generalized to all S series. Can someone tell me the xperia S Sola post tag, so i wont flash anything stupid on my phone?
[Sola] that is.
[Q] Port ROM to Xperia
As I know, it isn't hard to port a ROM to another device, since I did it on my Tablet about a year ago. I just copyed the things I liked from system\app to system\app. And didn't touch the camera app. Unfortunately, things changed since than. Sony is using a .ftf format and the ROM is stored in sys and bin files (maybe it already was back than - i just forgot about it). So my question is, how to port a ROM, for example the AOSP from Google to a Xperia device? Is it even possible? Is it harder than it was earlier (or did I just have very much luck back than?) PS: To the category where I am posting: The "Sony Xperia S" General forum is for tips, tricks, news, etc. about the Xperia S, NOT for questions. For all questions about your Xperia S, please go to the Q & A section. Click to expand... Click to collapse I am not talking about Xperia S so I thought this belongs here! And if not here, where then? We only have these sections: Xperia S, P, U, Sola, Acro S General Xperia S Q&A Xperia S, P, U, Sola, Acro S Accessories Xperia S Android Development Xperia Sola Android Development Android development for the Sony Xperia Acro S Xperia U Android Development Xperia P Android Development Xperia S, P, U, Sola, Acro S Themes and Apps Click to expand... Click to collapse There is ongoing progress on porting CM9 to the Xperia P (which I assume is the device you're interested in). No GSM yet, so kinda useless, but we're getting there. There is a CWM based recovery, too, so flashable zips will be fine.
Thread moved to Q & A section, kindly post in the relevant section next time, you've been warned.
Are you kidding me? This is Xperia S Q&A AND MY QUESTION IS NOT ABOUT THE XPERIA S!

[Q] Bin4ry
I utilized Bin4ry_v25 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...6#post33470626) to root my Xperia U. I'm just trying to confirm that this will also work on an Xperia Advance.
Couple of issues..... This should at minimum be in the Q&A forum, but should really be posted in his thread about the root tool. Does not need a whole new post. Sent from my Sony Xperia™ Z
Best Rom for Xperia U ?
Hi I've been using xperia x8 since last 3 years and gingerdx 0.30 since it's been release on it... I'm planning to sell xperia x8 and buy xperia u . what is the best rom like GingerDX for xperia U ? or stock is better enough ? Thanks in advance for reply
Wrong forum. We have a Q&A forum for that. You should also decide on your own which is best by testing it.
Sorry I created a thread there, please close this thread.
There is no best, it is whats best for you...which may not be best for others....
