Hi All,
I'm facing a strange problem that the Wi-Fi get disconnect after sometime when I check in the setting it shows "Authentication Error". I tries almost all available ROMs posted in the forum with different Kernel version but still no success.
If anyone else is facing this problem or have resolved then please let me know.

What ICS ROM u r currently on... use FXP kernel as both CM9 and Xperia S ICS runs on it... still have a problem then use this

Above app helps to get your WiFi connected if WiFi can't connect after a long standby....

Yes blade wifi fix may solve it as mentioned above. I used to get authentication error on my x10 at one point and that solved it (not sure for ics though i was on gb at the time but defo worth a bash)

I have Froyo, rooted. When I turn on my phone I can turn on and off wifi for maximally 2 times. If I try to turn on wifi again it says error, and only thing i can do is to restart my phone. Than again tuning on wifi first and second time works...
I tried typing *#526#* and *#*#526#*#* but it says Driver loading unsuccessful.
Is this software/Froyo problem or should I take my device to service?
I think lot of ppl have faced this problem.I think its a s/w bug most probably driver related
You can try the app wifi fixer or something like that. Ive got this problem on 2.3.. On froyo never happens.

upgrade it to gingerbread...i haven't faced that problem ever since

i flashed SGA to use coderomv1. no more wifi error.
I have a very irritating problem in my neo V.. Some networks connect immediately after entering password. While some, after entering password, try to connect, "obtain ip address" for a long time, and then atlast shows
"LIMITED CONNECTIVITY"
Is it the same with everyone else?
Please give a fix or solution for that.. I ll be very thankful to u..
P.s. I tried multiple WiFi apps and fixers from the market. Dont work.

As you can see, with some routers it work, with some it doesn't.
Some people had same problems on GB, some didn't but have problem on ICS.
By reading peoples post, mostly old routers don't work. To be honest I'm not sure why manufactures are removing "support" for old ones. But its not down to Sony, but ICS in general, as far as I know.

try to disable your antivirus firewall or windows firewall
Naa...it works with my WiFi.. The problem is with some others outside.. How can I change firewall in public Wi-Fi networks?

try different security mode for your network like wep and etc..
worked for me mate
I have got MT15i but i also had problems like this on GB. The wifi disconnected every minute limeted connectivity etc. But when i updated to ics its gone

Hi xais. First thing, have you checked your modem, router and internet connection with your computer or any other devices?

Also, check that settings/Wi-Fi/advanced/Wi-Fi on during sleep is set to Always.

Wifi works on every devices and it connects instently on other devices!!!
I also have changed my wifi settings to always keep wifi on!!!!
but still my wifi connects very slow on my tab!!

Hi there. Have you tried to clear unused running background apps? It could be because of them that cause the lag because it eats up your ram.

Yes i use ram booster pro which clears every running apps..
I have tried connecting when the device starts but no luck

I am really enjoying the new custom ROM GingerIceJelly v1.3.RC5. However having tried hard, I still can't connect to a hidden wifi connection. The error message is "not in range". Is there any fix?
I have tried both "replace.zip" and RC1 to RC5 sequence update. Only visible wifi work

Hey guys my internet frequently goes off,I tried a lot to turn on and off the data connection but nothing happens.I also tried reboot but still internet does' nt comes!! I have checked internet settings and I have replaced them with new one but still data does'nt comes,........
I need your help!!! Please guys help me. What could be the problem???? Is there any drivers or anything else from which I can restore my net connection?????

oh it is a problem with your network provider...call customer care

Or you are in a place with poor signal
Or prob from operator....

And i reflashed stock rom....then in worked for 2 3 days.. then again same problem.. then i tried custom rom fot mine phone...and it permanently solved this problem...
Try changing the rom...
