Hi guys! I m using android 4.0.3 ics on my tab. When I try to connect wifi to the device it takes a very long time. Is there any way I can fix this problem!!

Hi xais. First thing, have you checked your modem, router and internet connection with your computer or any other devices?

Also, check that settings/Wi-Fi/advanced/Wi-Fi on during sleep is set to Always.

Wifi works on every devices and it connects instently on other devices!!!
I also have changed my wifi settings to always keep wifi on!!!!
but still my wifi connects very slow on my tab!!

Hi there. Have you tried to clear unused running background apps? It could be because of them that cause the lag because it eats up your ram.

Yes i use ram booster pro which clears every running apps..
I have tried connecting when the device starts but no luck

My X10 can't detect my home wifi... What can I do? It can detect wifi anywhere but not my home wifi... So, I guess it's the problem with home router. Btw, I'm using Innacomm W3400V wireless modem... Thanks in advance!!
What ROM r u running because some ROMs might not not have wifi working if its in early developmental stages or u dont have the latest update?

Check your router settings it might have something to do with the isolation setting I can't think of the name of it but I will hopefully

A lot of the newer roms are also having issues with any router using WPA2 encryption (can't say for sure with WEP, since I don't have any to test with). But if you're open (no encryption) it'll connect just fine, but WPA/WPA2, it'll have some connection problems. Lots of people are having this issue, there's a few fixes that work for some, but not for others. Search is a great friend for that.
try making a second ssid for your phone on ur router
If all else fails and you need a new router...
save a few bucks on a router and use this instead.

Gets me wifi everywhere.
even use this on laptop in my car, wifi hotspot any where "we play dota after work"
Reset your wi-fi password if u hav 1. Otherwise check if your phonevcan detect other networks, and check if other people can join your network. good luck.

I'm using TripNMiUI 1.0.3
I can connect to all other wifi just except my home wifi...

ok, should be your router's problem then. Sign onto your ISO's account settings if it only allows commuters to connect. Some router's default settings are configured like that. Can other devices (not computers) connect to it home wifi?

Please help, i am using xperia s with stock ics and i am completely unable to share internet with my laptop. I have tried usb tethering, wifi hotspot, bluetooth tethering even downloaded usb tether pro and nothing simply works . What to do?

Yes i think they are. Usb tethering aside, When i try using wifi hotspot it connects properly with the laptop, signal strength also shows excellent but there is still the 'no Internet access' pop up on the laptop. I have also switched on mobile data and 3G

Wifi tethering is broken in the ICS stock ROM for most (if not all) Xperia devices . I've been trying various custom ROMS for my Xperia Active today but just encounter other issues (e.g. camera doesn't work with PAranoid Android)
Hi, I havnt used the stock ics build, but if u need teathering to work try installin Erachter Rom. I always use portable hotspot and works fine(as long as I have data reception). Not sure about Bluetooth or usb teathering though.

heh? wifi tethering works fine both in ics stock (and custom-stock) and miui...
for usb tether.. use pdanet.. works fine too.

I am using Ultimate HD ROM(2.0.2) on my LwW phone nd I am facing a problem with WiFi hotspot.Net connection through WiFi hotspot is being disconnected after 2 or 3 minutes. If I keep the screen always on it works fine but after screen gets off, WiFi hotspot is being terminated.
Please someone help me..

Turn on WiFi hotspot , set WiFi sleep timer to never (wifi special settings). If it doesn't help you you can give a try: Wake Lock - PowerManager Play store link

i can connect to any wireless network but i can't have any internet access , and i tried to reset my s3 to factory through recovery but that's not working and i turned off power saving for wifi and still not working,any solutions please !
may be i should change my firmware from (ics 4.0.4:i9300xxlef) to another one :crying:

You can do Factory Reset from Main menu (Back Up/Restorw) but I don't think it'll help. After all, only flashing new rom left. Try, if not.... Send it back to Samsung I'm not sure
My WiFi tetheringn isn't working, when I turn it on it says a problem accured and when I connect to my laptop it wont have a internet connection

Prior to enabling wifi tether you must enable mobile data first.Your device will be used as access point so it will disconnect from your modem/router and must have an internet connection to share.So turn mobile data on!!

I'm not daft, it was working. When I turn it on it starts it up then about 3 seconds a box pops up saying a error accrued during tethering. I've tried refreshing my stock Rom and a custom same problem, I don't know if its a problem with my build? It's not a hardware problem I dont think
